  • 지리정보를 정보시스템에서 사용하기 위해서는 복잡한 실세계의 형상을 단순화, 일반화하여 전산적으로 처리할 수 있는 정보구조로 변환해야 한다. 기존의 2차원 GIS에서는 실세계의 형상을 점, 선, 면 등의 2차원적인 형상으로 수치 정보화 하여 GIS 기능을 수행하고 있다. 하지만 지구상에 존재하는 지리적인 요소들은 3차원적인 공간정보로 구성되므로 이를 2차원으로 추상화시키면 많은 정보의 손실이 일어나게 되며, 기존의 2차원 GIS는 근본적인 한계가 존재하게 된다. 따라서, 실세계의 3차원적인 지리요소는 컴퓨터 상에서도 3차원으로 처리하는 것이 지리요소가 원래 지니고 있는 정보의 손실을 최소화 할 수 있으며, 실세계의 자연물 및 인공 시설물에 대한 3차원적인 표현과 분석을 위해서는 궁극적인 형태의 3차원 GIS가 필요한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 점, 선, 면 등의 2차원적인 형상을 3차원 공간 데이터로 수치 정보화 하기 위한 수단으로 VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language)을 이용하여 Virtual GIS 적용을 위한 3차원 가상세계를 생성함으로서 각종 의사결정을 보다 효율적이고 시각적으로 행할 수 있는 공간데이터를 작성하고자 하였다.

  • The aim of this work is to design a real-time reusable image enhancement architecture for video signals, based on a spatial processing of the video sequence. The VHDL hardware description language has been used in order to make possible a top-down design methodology. By adding proposed algorithms to the LPR(License Plate Recognition) system, the system is implemented with reliability and safety on a rainy day. Spartan-2E XC2s300E is used as implementation platforms for real-time system.

  • TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association: 한국정보통신기술협회)에서는 2004년 말에 우리나라 교통 분야 지리정보 데이터 표준 모델을 발표한 바 있다. 이 TTA 모델은 지리정보의 수요증대와 더불어 적절한 교통 분야 지리정보 데이터의 공유, 교환 및 활용을 도모하기 위하여 구축뿐만 아니라 응용측면을 고려한 데이터 모델이므로 본 연구에서는 TTA 교통데이터 모델을 기반으로 국제적 지리정보 엔코딩 표준방식인 Geography Markup Language (GML) 처리가 가능한 시험적인 응용 시스템을 구축하여 웹 기반에서의 TTA 교통모델의 실무적 적합성을 검토해 보고자 한다. 본 연구 결과로 응용 도메인에서의 OGC 국제 표준인 GML의 적합성을 검증해 볼 수 있었고, 이러한 결과는 인터넷을 통한 응용 분야에서 별도로 구축된 지리정보의 공유 및 교환이 손쉽게 이루어지기 때문에 각각의 주요 응용 분야에서의 GIS 데이터의 공유를 위한 기반 구조가 될 것으로 생각한다.

Development of 3-D viewer for indoor location tracking system using wireless sensor network

  • In this paper we present 3-D Navigation View, a three-dimensional visualization of indoor environment which serves as an intuitive and unified user interface for our developed indoor location tracking system via Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) in web environment. The extracted user's spatial information from indoor location tracking system was further processed to facilitate the location indication in virtual 3-D indoor environment based on his location in physical world. External Authoring Interface (EAI) provided by VRML enables the integration of interactive 3-D graphics into web and direct communication with the encapsulated Java applet to update position and viewpoint of user periodically in 3-D indoor environment. As any web browser with VRML viewer plug-in is able to run the platform independent 3-D Navigation View, specialized and expensive hardware or software can be disregarded.

  • UML cannot meet all the requirements offered in different software system for diverse application domain. GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) application domain is an especial environment that requires precise measurement and precision calculation of real-world geographical entities with the help of GPS (Global Position System) in both temporal and spatial factor. Therefore in the paper new extended iconic stereotypes for better modeling GNSS application in the UML Diagram are proposed, and the implementation of a program called StereotypeCreator, which is able to create iconic stereotypes used in one of the most popular visual modeling tools for software development, Rational Rose, will be also proposed.

  • For designing the radar integrated data network, we construct the network structure with a spatial hieratchy decomposition scheme. The RIDN can be decomposed into several subent classes, those of which are composed of the several group classes of radar sites, In a group class. The communication nodes of a radar site are modeled by the software modules formulated with the statistical attributes of discrete events. And we get the analysis over the network through the separately constructed infra group level models which were coded with the C language.From the result of the simulation. We could findthe fact that the data integration system;s performance approaches to the theordtically calculated value after being stable. And also we could get the packet processing status of a communication module’s inner processor which is difficult to oberve through the mathematical calculation tin the subnet model of the integrated data network.

A Study on the Architectural Characteristics at Wolfsburg Church (볼프스부르크 교회의 건축 특성에 관한 연구)

  • One of the big difference between Aalto and other modem architects lies in an attitude that Aalto went beyond the principle of dogmatic functionalism. As an architect of Northern Europe, Aalto made unique architecture that showed both the language of modem architecture and vernacular architecture. He presented the best example which showed modernity in architecture without losing the meaning of the context including site, region and cultural tradition. With this background, Aalto developed his own typological design approach. As Wolfsburg church was designed in his prime of time, it showed the origin and evolutionary process of religious architecture as well as general features of Aalto's design. Clustered site plan, dynamic space of interior, the adequate control of natural light are representative characteristics found in Aalto's religious architecture. Wolfsburg church also demonstrate these features in more specific way including the continuity of wall and ceiling that showed spatial dynamics, free opening of wall which reflects on functions, and careful adjust of natural light. As a result, Aalto showed his typological design strategy that added new design ideas to the accumulated design vocabularies in the design of Wolfsburg church.

  • This paper proposes a multimedia retrival query lanfuage SQL/MR(SQL/Mulitmedia Reteival) to presrnt query results including multimeadia data temporal-spatially for retrival-oriented multimedia applications.Es-pecially, we describe the syntax of SQL/MR, query examples, and algorithms to process the temporai-spatial layout tags. SQL/MR extends the SELECT clause of SQL to eliminate time-comsuming authoring efforts for every query retrieval. SQL/MR can the utilized in relational DBMSs, which store multimedia data separately in minomedia type fields.

  • GIS분야에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행됨에 따라 그 활용에 대한 관심도 확대되고 있다. Open GIS Consortium에서는 GML(Geography Markup Language)을 개발하여 이를 GIS 응용분야에 활용하고자 하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. GML데이터에서 의미 있는 정보를 추출하기 위해서는 데이터 마이닝 기법 활용이 필수적이다 최근에 데이터마이닝 기법 중 연관규칙을 이용한 탐색 방법이 제안되었다. 그러나 이 방법은 전체 데이터를 대상으로 의미 있는 정보를 탐색 하므로, 데이터 내에 포함되어 있는 부분 속성인 지리 공간적 연관성을 탐색하는데 한계를 가지고 있다. 따라서 녈 연구에서는 GML데이터에서 부분적 속성을 고려한 지역적 연관규칙 탐색 기법을 제안한다.

  • To realize GIS on internet two methods are possible. One is using java language and the other is using window API that interface with internet WWW HTTP protocol. GIS program needs to extract, classify, store in various geospatial data. But WWW HTML are statical and Impossible to input multi points and area selectioning. This study applied JAVA in Web GIS so that may handle various geographic data on internet, communicate interactively GUI interface and present, modify and powered with various means of cartographic visualization
