신뢰성 보정된 발사체 개발비용 추정방안 연구 (Studies for Reliability-corrected Cost Estimation Methodology of Launch Vehicle Development)

  • 본 연구에서는 발사체의 개념설계 단계 동안 성능 변수뿐만 아니라 신뢰성에 따른 개발비용 추정방안을 분석하고자 하였다. 과거에는 발사체의 개발비용을 예측하기 위해서 주로 발사체의 성능과 건조 질량 등을 독립변수로 하는 추정 방법이 많이 이용되었다. 이러한 접근 방법은 비교적 근사하였지만 신뢰성 수준에 따른 비용 변화를 반영할 수 없기 때문에 원하는 신뢰성을 가진 발사체의 개발비용을 근접하게 예측하기는 쉽지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 비용추정 방법의 한계를 개선하기 위해 성능과 질량을 기반으로 한 비용 모델인 TRANSCOST에 신뢰성 개념을 도입하여 발사체 비용을 추정할 수 있는 방법론을 제시하였다. 이를 기반으로 신뢰성에 따른 한국형발사체(KSLV- II)의 개발비용을 추정했다.

  • 본 논문에서는 위성-지상 통합(hybrid/integrated)망에서 멀티미디어 방송 서비스를 효율적으로 제공하도록 기여할 수 있는 여러 가지 다이버시티 방식에 대한 성능을 비교 분석한다. 시공간 부호(space-time codes)는 부가적인 대역폭 요구 사항 없이도 다중경로 환경에서 다이버시티 이득을 얻을 수 있는 효율적인 방식이다. 위성시스템에서 시공간 부호와 오류정정부호를 적절히 결합하여 지상 중계 장치와의 협동 다이버시티 이득 구현이 가능함이 제안되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 선행 연구 결과를 바탕으로 하여, 다양한 시공간부호 및 오류정정 부호의 결합 방식을 제안하고 이에 따른 성능 분석 결과와 장단점등을 제시하여, 향후 시스템 구현에 도움이 될 수 있도록 한다.

소형위성용 통합형 전장박스의 개발 및 성능검증 (Development and Performance Validation of Integrated Bus Electronic Unit for Small Satellite)

  • 대형위성과 달리 나노위성이나 마이크로위성과 같은 소형위성의 경우, 전장품을 장착하기 위한 위성 내부 공간은 극히 제한되어 있다. 이러한 문제를 완화하기 위해 나노위성 HAUSAT-2는 대부분의 서브시스템과 탑재체의 전장모듈들을 통합한 일체형 위성 버스전장박스(BEU; Bus Electronic Unit)를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 개발된 BEU의 설계, 환경시험 결과 및 성능 분석에 대해 기술하였다. 진동 및 열진공 시험은 새로 개발된 BEU의 설계 여유 검증을 위해 인증(qualification) 수준으로 수행하였다. 인증시험 전후의 성능시험을 통해 각 서브모듈들이 정상적으로 작동하는 것을 확인하였다. 진동시험 결과 BEU는 구조적인 손상 없이 설계 강성조건을 만족하는 것을 검증하였으며, 열해석 모델링의 보정을 통해 열진공시험과 거의 일치하는 결과를 얻게 되었다.

Toroidal-Shaped Coils for a Wireless Power Transfer System for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

  • Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) using communications, sensors, and navigation equipment will play a key role in future warfare. Currently, UAVs are monitored to prevent misfire and accidents, and the conventional method adopted uses wires for data transmission and power supply. The repeated connection and disconnection of cables increases maintenance time and harms the connector. For convenience and stability, a wireless power transfer system to power UAVs is needed. Unlike other wireless power transfer (WPT) applications, the size of the receiving coils must be small, so that the WPT systems can be embedded inside space-limited UAVs. The small size reduces the coupling coefficient and transfer efficiency between the transmitting and the receiving coils. In this study, we propose a toroidal-shaped coil for a WPT system for UAVs with high coupling coefficient with minimum space requirements. For validation, conventional coils and the proposed toroidal-shaped coil were used and their coupling coefficient and power transfer efficiency were compared using simulated and measured results. The simulated and measured results were strongly correlated, confirming that the proposed WPT system significantly improved efficiency with negligible change in the space requirement.

조선 중기 툇마루의 도입과 상부가구의 구조적 대응 (Research on Introduction of Toi-Maru in Mid-Joseon Period and Structural Adjustment of Frame Work in Roof Structure)

  • The necessity of the Toi-Maru has increased greatly in order to enter to the building or to move conveniently in the building after the mid-Joseon period, when the combination of On-dol Ma-ru began to be universally used. According to this process, the 3-Dori type upper structure is thought to have undergone the typological changed by securing a more stable space of Toi-Maru In cases where a relatively large girder was used, it is often the case that the space is divided using a pillar to place a Toi-Maru on the front. However, it is difficult to find a case where the width of the Toi-Maru exceeds 1meter due to its structural limit. The type that made additional Toi-girder to overcome the spatial constraint of this structure and replaced the method of former typology after Mid-Jpseon period. In case of 5-Dori type, Toi-Maru installed in between high post and Toi post in early period. In these type, the width of Toi-Maru was subordinated by the location of milled Dori of roof structure and sometimes it became too excessive. 5-Dori type with Pyon-ju occurred to overcome these restriction between the width of Toi-Maru and the location of milled Dori of roof structure. Not a few remains of Mid-Jpseon period keeping the evidences of changing process of roof structure provoked by Toi-Maru installation. The consistent process of Toi-Maru installation and structural adjustment will be focused to consider the attempt to spatial requirement and architectural reaction in Mid-Joseon perid.

LRF 를 이용한 이동로봇의 실시간 차선 인식 및 자율주행 (A Real Time Lane Detection Algorithm Using LRF for Autonomous Navigation of a Mobile Robot)

  • This paper proposes a real time lane detection algorithm using LRF (Laser Range Finder) for autonomous navigation of a mobile robot. There are many technologies for safety of the vehicles such as airbags, ABS, EPS etc. The real time lane detection is a fundamental requirement for an automobile system that utilizes outside information of automobiles. Representative methods of lane recognition are vision-based and LRF-based systems. By the vision-based system, recognition of environment for three dimensional space becomes excellent only in good conditions for capturing images. However there are so many unexpected barriers such as bad illumination, occlusions, and vibrations that the vision cannot be used for satisfying the fundamental requirement. In this paper, we introduce a three dimensional lane detection algorithm using LRF, which is very robust against the illumination. For the three dimensional lane detections, the laser reflection difference between the asphalt and lane according to the color and distance has been utilized with the extraction of feature points. Also a stable tracking algorithm is introduced empirically in this research. The performance of the proposed algorithm of lane detection and tracking has been verified through the real experiments.

일반화된 허프변환의 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of the Generalized Hough Transform)

  • 일반화된 허프변환은 임의의 형태의 2차원 모델을 입력영상에서 탐지 및 추출하는데 사용되어지는 효과적인 방법이다. 그러나 일반화된 허프변환의 단점으로 실행시간이 오래 걸린다는 것과 과도한 메모리 사용을 들 수 있다. 그래서 현재까지의 대부분의 연구는 일반화된 허프변환의 실행시간과 메모리 사용량을 줄이는데 집중되어왔다. 그러나 실행시간과 메모리 사용을 줄여서 개선된 알고리즘이 입력 영상에 존재하는 노이즈를 고려할 경우 어떤 성능을 제공하는가는 여전히 불분명하다. 그러므로 본 논문은 일반화된 허프변환의 성능 평가를 위한 새로운 프레임워크를 제안한다. 이를 위해 일반화된 허프변환을 신호탐지 이론의 탐지기로 간주하며 ROC 커브를 사용해서 일반화된 허프변환의 성능을 정의한다. 마지막으로 입력 영상에서의 노이즈를 고려한 정량적인 성능 평가가 가능함을 보인다.

화력발전소 석탄저장고 설계개념과 시공과정 상의 주요 공정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design Concepts and Main Construction Processes of the Coal Shed at Thermal Power Plant)

  • 본 연구대상인 화력발전소 석탄저장고는 우리나라 발전 산업 현장 중에서 원자력, 화력 등을 포함한 건축물 중 그 규모면에서 가장 크다. 이 옥내형 석탄저장고는 축구장 6개 크기의 평면에 높이가 73m인 mass volume이다. 또한 구조 및 기능적 요소가 미적요소보다 우선이므로 구조적 안전성과 기능적 석탄저장을 위해 중앙 옹벽과 부벽 합산이 $75,000m^3$에 달하는 콘크리트와 11,744ton의 PEB시스템을 이용한 철골을 사용하여 장대한 공간을 창출할 수 있게 설계되었다. 따라서 옥내형 석탄저장고에 적용된 옹벽과 철골구조에 대한 설계조건과 PEB 시스템의 특징 및 시공에 따른 주요 공정 특이사항을 조사하고, 아울러 이들 주요 공정상에 요구되는 시험 사항에 대해서 조사함으로써 이와 유사하게 지어질 옥내형 석탄저장고에 대한 설계조건과 기준 등을 제시하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다.

WALANT: A Discussion of Indications, Impact, and Educational Requirements

  • Wide-awake, local anesthesia, no tourniquet (WALANT) is a technique that removes the requirement for operations to be performed with a tourniquet, general/regional anesthesia, sedation or an anesthetist. We reviewed the WALANT literature with respect to the diverse indications and impact of WALANT to discuss the importance of future surgical curriculum integration. With appropriate patient selection, WALANT may be used effectively in upper and lower limb surgery; it is also a useful option for patients who are unsuitable for general/regional anesthesia. There is a growing body of evidence supporting the use of WALANT in more complex operations in both upper and lower limb surgery. WALANT is a safe, effective, and simple technique associated with equivalent or superior patient pain scores among other numerous clinical and cost benefits. Cost benefits derive from reduced requirements for theater/anesthetic personnel, space, equipment, time, and inpatient stay. The lack of a requirement for general anesthesia reduces aerosol generating procedures, for example, intubation/high-flow oxygen, hence patients and staff also benefit from the reduced potential for infection transmission. WALANT provides a relatively, but not entirely, bloodless surgical field. Training requirements include the surgical indications, volume calculations, infiltration technique, appropriate perioperative patient/team member communication, and specifics of each operation that need to be considered, for example, checking of active tendon glide versus venting of flexor tendon pulleys. WALANT offers significant clinical, economic, and operative safety advantages when compared with general/regional anesthesia. Key challenges include careful patient selection and the comprehensive training of future surgeons to perform the technique safely.

경기도지역 학교급식시설의 기능 공간별 면적 현황 및 구비 기기의 적정요건 제안 (Current Status of Functional Areas' Space and Suggestion of Their Equipment Requirements for School Foodservices in Gyeonggi Province)

  • The principal objectives of this study were to evaluate the space, equipment, and institution rate by functional area, and to suggest appropriate types, numbers, and equipment capacity by school foodservice size for optimal employee job performance and efficiency. Data were collected and administered by 263 dietitians who attended elementary and middle schools in Gyeonggi Province, and the data were analyzed using SPSS statistical software. Among a total of 72 respondents who provided usable data, 31 (48.6%) respondents were nutrition teachers and 37 (51.4%) were part-time dietitians. The majority of the respondents reported that their foodservices were self-operating types (94.4%), and 8 meals out of 10 meals provided over a 2-week period were served as normal meals, defined as meals consisting of Bab, Kook, Kimchi, and 3 side dishes (73.6%). The mean kitchen space was $186.25\;m^2$ for 500 meals/day, $269.7\;m^2$ for 501 to 1,000 meals/day, $249.1\;m^2$ for 1001 to 1500 meals/day, and $274.87\;m^2$ for 1,500 or more meals/day. The mean space of functional areas was $11.52\;m^2$ for office, $12.63\;m^2$ for storeroom, $9.55\;m^2$ for receiving area, $27.23\;m^2$ for pre-preparation area, $149.9\;m^2$ for cooking area, $18.33\;m^2$ for assembly/service area, $45.50\;m^2$ for dishwashing area, and $17.20\;m^2$ for locker room. Only two pre-preparation and cooking spaces increased significantly with increasing size of school foodservice (p<0.05). Office, cooking area, and locker room were allocated in all foodservices. However, the pre-preparation area (68.7%), receiving area (56.5%), assembly/service area (38.1%), and dishwashing area (37.7%) were lowly installed in the surveyed facilities. Through a focus group meeting discussing the results of this study, appropriate equipment and its dimensions were suggested according to functional areas and foodservice scales. Future studies will be necessary to allocate the appropriate space by functional area with the proposed equipment requirements for optimally efficient decision making in equipment purchasing.
