  • This study refer to make a selection of a location using multi-dimension spatial information for University's facilities management. Structures and new construction plane of the building for the simulation through the use of space to maximize the optimal location decisions. As a result, making a rational decision of facilities plan and management can be maximized.

  • With a large format near-infrared camera at the 2.2-m telescope on Mauna Kea Observatory, we performed J K near-infrared observations for the metal rich globular cluster NGC6712. This cluster lies near the galactic plane and therefore suffers heavy reddening. We present the near-infrared color-magnitude diagram and also derive the metallicity ([Fe/H] ${\~}-0.96{\pm}0.27$) as well as its distance modulus ((m - M) ${\~}13.42{\pm}0.12$).

  • The electromagnetic fields radiated from an aperture on a conducting plance covered with a moving uniaxial plasma layer are analyzed. From wave equations in moving plasma and free space region, their solutions are obtained and radiation fields are determined by applying proper boundary conditions in each region. For a particular case of isotropic plasma layer, our results correspond to well-known results.

  • We determine the Shilov and Choquet boundaries and the set of peak points of Lipschitz algebras $Lip(X,\;{\alpha})$ for $0<{\alpha}{\leq}1$, and $lip(X,\;{\alpha})$ for $0<{\alpha}<1$, on a compact metric space X. Then, when X is a compact subset of $\mathbb{C}^n$, we define some subalgebras of these Lipschitz algebras and characterize their Shilov and Choquet boundaries. Moreover, for compact plane sets X, we determine the Shilove boundary of them. We also determine the set of peak points of these subalgebras on certain compact subsets X of $\mathbb{C}^n$.

  • Computer graphics(CG) is one of the most useful tools by which we can easily understand visible/invisible natural phenomena. Namely, phenomena in the universe is attractive one because of its beauty and invisibility on the earth. For gravitational tensing phenomena, a ray tracing algorithm is proposed based on a lens-plane. In the method, position of gravitational sources is restricted. In this paper an improved visualization method is proposed, which can represent more complex situation than the previous method.

TOTAL LEAST SQUARES FITTING WITH QUADRICS

  • A computational algorithm is developed for fitting given data in the plane or in 3-space by implicitly defined quadrics. Implicity implies that the type of the quadric is part of the model and need not be known in advance. Starting with some estimate for the coefficients of the quadric the method will alternatively determine the shortest distances from the given points onto the quadric and adapt the coefficients such as to reduce the sum of those squared distances. Numerical examples are given.

심 산개성단의 역동적 구조 (Dynamic structure of the Sim open clusters)

  • 722 open clusters in the Sim open cluster catalogue show the outermost structure of open clusters. The catalogue is based on the proper motion and parallax of the stars. These results reveal the hidden structures of weak membership signals in the field star contamination. It contains the tidal tails, flattened structure along the galactic plane, interacting double clusters and very poor and spread clusters. We will show these interesting structures.

  • Let X be a smooth hypersurface X of degree d ≥ 4 in a projective space ℙn+1. We consider a projection of X from p ∈ ℙn+1 to a plane H ≅ ℙn. This projection induces an extension of function fields ℂ(X)/ℂ(ℙn). The point p is called a Galois point if the extension is Galois. In this paper, we will give necessary and sufficient conditions for X to have Galois points by using linear automorphisms.

  • In this paper, a hidden surface removal algorithm that generates a perspective view of three space plane-faced objects using scan line coherence is proposed. In particular, the proposed algorithm deals with hidden surface elimination of penetrating objects by using the optimum span division method with minimum test for priority test of segments. Also, a hidden surface redmoval method for representing sectional view of solids by using boolean difference is described.
