This study collected and analyzed flight data of SpaceX's Falcon 9 launch vehicle. All missions were classified by orbital types, such as Polar, SSO, ISS, LEO and GTO missions. In characteristic maneuvers of main engine cutoff, boostback, reentry and landing burn at each stage of 1st stage launch vehicle, changes of the physical parameters like speed, altitude, dynamic pressure and acceleration were investigated. The guidelines derived from detailed maneuver analysis were suggested, which can be used as design and evaluation references for developing reusable launch vehicle.
The launching of the Taepo-dong 1 on 31 August 1998 by the North Korea was the first case where the diplomatic protests was made against the flight, the purpose of which, the launching State claimed, consisted in space exploration and use. It is the principle regarding the freedom of space exploration and use, as included in the international treaty, that is relevant in applying the various rules and in defining the legal status of the flight. Its legal status, however, was not actually taken into account, as political negotiations leading to the test moratorium has been successful until present day in freezing the political crisis. This implies that the rules of the law lack the validity and logic sufficient in dictating the conduct of the States. This case shows that, in effect, it is not the rule but the politics that is to govern the status of the flight.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the radiation dose data of the space crew of the flight crew and to present a plan for the health management of the flight crew on the basis of the analysis. The analysis show that the average exposure dose of the flight attendants continued to rise, and the exposure dose of the flight attendants was five(5) times higher than that of the radiation workers. As a way to reduce the effects of cosmic radiation, this paper suggests appropriate personnel allocation by model, balanced allocation of high and low latitude routes by crew according to the aircraft type, and a low altitude flight plan for high latitude flight. This study will help aviation crew members understand cosmic radiation and trust in the company's policies. In the future, it will be necessary to enhance the flight safety of the crew by deriving meaningful results by analyzing data related to cosmic radiation of various routes.

Flight test of flapping micro air vehicles (FMAVs) is carried out using an instrumented measurement system to obtain various engineering parameters and hence to assess the flight performance of the vehicles through the data investigation. An indoor flight test facility equipped with a motion capture system and tracking cameras is used for the work presented in this paper. Maneuvers including straight-level flight, ground flapping, takeoff and landing are tested. Spatial position and orientation data are obtained from the retro-reflective tracking markers attached to the vehicles. Subsequent test analysis is carried out by generating performance parameters from raw data and then assessing the flight performance by comparison of the vehicles. The main findings of this work confirm that the test method and procedures presented here enable the systematic numerical data measurement and assessment of the flying performances of these vehicles, and show the applicability for the test and evaluation of general flapping MAVs.

This study has developed a small solar powered UAV and performed its flight tests. In daylight, a solar powered UAV flies by using some of electricity generated from solar cells, and stores the remainder into battery. At night it flies by using electricity from battery. A solar powered UAV should have aerodynamically efficient configurations, light-weight, strong wing and fuselage. Its electric propulsion system and solar power system should also be very efficient. In the present study the solar powered UAV and its solar power system are developed for 12 hour continuous flight and the flight tests are performed to verify its performance. The flight tests performed in fall and winter to prove the present solar powered UAV is successful in four-season 12 hour flight.

Korea Sounding Rocket(KSR)-III onboard telemetry system has acquired various data from subsystems and sensors in the rocket, and radiated PCM/FM data using two S-band antennas during the flight. Simultaneously, it is necessary that the ground receiving systems track the rocket, and receive and decode telemetry data. Also post processed telemetry data are needed to be broadcasted on ethernet network in real time. Range safety display system displays flight trajectory using telemetry data in mission control center, and so flight manager makes a decision for flight termination from the trajectory This paper describes operating technique about telemetry reception, the development for the realtime data processing system, and the results for telemetering reception on fight test. We telemetered, processed, and broadcasted numerous telemetry data during the flight test successfully.

Satisfying the same probability of loss of control and essentially two fail operative performance with a triplex computer architecture requires a lot of modification of the conventional redundancy management design techniques, previously employed in quadruplex digital flight control computer. T-50 FCS for triplex redundancy management design applied an advanced digital flight control architecture with an I/O controller which is functionally independent of the digital computer to achieve the same reliability and special failure analysis and isolation schemes for fail operational goals with a triplex configuration. The analysis results indicated that the triplex flight control system is to satisfy the safety requirement utilizing the advanced flight control techniques and the system performance of the implemented flight control system was verified by failure mode effect test.

Recently developed aircrafts use Fly-By-Wire(FBW) or Fly-By-Light(FBL) system. These systems have some merits; they can perform very complicated missions, they can expand the flight region and improve the reliability of the aircrafts. With the development of flight control systems that use FBW technique, flight envelope protection concept is introduced to guarantee reliability of the aircraft and improve the efficiency of mission achievement. In this study, flight envelope protection system is designed using a dynamic trim algorithm, a peak response estimation, and a gain scheduling technique. The performance of these methods are compared by performing numerical simulation.
