A Study on Acoustic Sound Tracking System on 2-Dimensional Plain (2차원적 음원추적에 관한 연구)

  • When navigating in or near an area of restricted visibility it is necessary to be heard the whistle bell and/or the siren of lighthouses or ships at times. Even though we can get the brief informations about the property of sound the direction and range of a sound radiator it is not easy to get the accurate informations for decision making. generally the audio frequency is known as 16-20,000Hz but the earshot is shorten and discrimination of sound is more difficult when there is some noise. The sound pressure is 60dB at the moment when human speaks 1 meter away. Usually the noise pressure in a silent room is 40dB and 60dB on the quiet street. In this study we suggest the basic algorithm to trace the direction and range of the source radiator using the signal received through not a physical sense but the microphone sensors and a series of signal of signal processing.

Model Following Sliding-Mode Control of a Six-Phase Induction Motor Drive

  • In this paper an effective direct torque control (DTC) and stator flux control is developed for a quasi six-phase induction motor (QIM) drive with sinusoidally distributed windings. Combining sliding-mode (SM) control and adaptive input-output feedback linearization, a nonlinear controller is designed in the stationary reference frame, which is capable of tracking control of the stator flux and torque independently. The motor controllers are designed in order to track a desired second order linear reference model in spite of motor resistances mismatching. The effectiveness and capability of the proposed method is shown by practical results obtained for a QIM supplied from a voltage source inverter (VSI).

  • The paper proposes a simulation model of grid-connected photovoltaic generation system (PV system) using on PSCAD/EMTDC, a reliable power system and apparatus transient analysis program. A equivalent circuit model of a solar cell is used for modeling solar array. A series of parameters required for array modeling are deduced from general specification data of a solar module. A PWM voltage source inverter (VSI) model is presented and current control scheme is implemented for VSI control. A maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique is applied for controlling the PV system. Simulation case study provides V-I and V-P characteristics of solar array and PV system control performance for irradiation changes.

  • In this paper, optical sensor system using PSD(Position Sensitive Detection) is proposed to obtain the three dimensional position of moving markers attached to human body. To find the coordinates of an moving marrer with stereo vision system, two different sight rays of an moving marker are required. Usually, those are acquired with two optical sensors synchronized at the same time. PSD sensor is used to measure the position of an incidence light in real-time. To get the three-dimension position of light source on moving markers, a conventional camera calibration method are used. In this research, we realized a low cost motion capture system. The proposed system shows high three-dimension measurement accuracy and fast sampling frequency.

  • 최근 가정용 로봇 연구가 활발히 진행됨에 따라, 가정과 같은 다이내믹한 환경에서 로봇이 목소리를 포함한 음원에 반응하고 그 위치를 정확히 찾아가는 것이 매우 중요해지고 있다. 인간이 목표물에 도달하기 위해 경로를 선택할 때, 그 목표물이 소리인 경우는 현재 위치에서 음원의 방향을 추적한다. 또한 그 목표물의 위치가 지도로 주워질 경우에는 현재 위치와 목표불의 절대적 방위를 기준으로 추적한다. 본 논문에서는 이처럼 사람이 다른 사람의 목소리를 듣고 반응하거나 어떤 방향으로 가고자할 때 소리가 나는 방향이나 지도를 통해 대략 자신만의 방위를 만드는 것에 착안하여, 지능형 모바일 로봇에 음원추적 장치와 전자나침반을 장착함으로써 음원의 방향 또는 절대 방위를 기준으로 목표물을 찾아가는 알고리즘을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Recently, the number of conflicts and complaints related to noise between floors is increasing every year. It is essential to acquisition objective noise data in order to resolve legal disputes over floor noise. However, specialized equipment for noise acquisition is difficult for ordinary apartment dwellers to use. In addition, in order to solve the problem of inter-layer noise, it is most effective to locate and remove the noise. Therefore, this study proposes a floor noise monitoring system for the measurement of floor noise and estimation of the noise source that can be measured without a professional device.

  • 팀으로 구성된 개발 조직은 주어진 시간 안에 가용할 수 있는 인력으로 고객에게 전달될 최종 산출물인 소프트웨어를 개발한다. 개발과 통합을 거친 소프트웨어는 테스트를 거치며 발생되는 결함에 대해 수정 조치한다. 하지만 결함 수정과 병행하여 초기 요구사항은 변경되고 추가되어 개발되는 소프트웨어에 반영되야 함으로 팀에서는 메일, 전화, 또는 게시판 방식으로 결함 사항을 알리고 최종 소프트웨어를 개발해 나간다. 본 논문은 이러한 환경에 결함추적도구를 사용하여 결함 발견 시 등록하고, 해결된 소프트웨어의 버전을 관리하기 위한 방법에 대해 오픈소스 기반의 형상관리도구와 결함추적도구를 활용한 환경을 연구해 나가고자 한다.

  • Photovoltaic (PV) systems bosed on solar energy offer an environmentally friendly source of electricity. A key feature of such PV sysem is the efficiency of conversion at which the power converter stage can extract the energy from the PV arrays and deliver to the load. The Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of the PV output for all sunshine conditions allows reduction of the cost installation and maximizes the power output from the PV panel. The proposed algorithm is to control the width of the pulse for battery charging based on the open voltage of the PV panel. As a lab results, the proposed system was implemented functions to adapt to the changes of the PV open voltage, and improved the charging efficiency.

  • Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks (RPLs) in Internet of Things (IoT) is currently one of the most popular wireless technologies for sensor communication. RPLs are typically designed for specialized applications, such as monitoring or tracking, in either indoor or outdoor conditions, where battery capacity is a major concern. Several routing techniques have been proposed in recent years to address this issue. Nevertheless, the expansion of the network lifetime in consideration of the sensors' capacities remains an outstanding question. In this research, aANN-CUCKOO based optimization technique is applied to obtain a more efficient and dependable energy efficient solution in IOT-RPL. The proposed method uses time constraints to minimise the distance between source and sink with the objective of a low-cost path. By considering the mobility of the nodes, the technique outperformed with an efficiency of 98% compared with other methods. MATLAB software is used to simulate the proposed model.

  • In recent years, use of the web technologies and on-line process has immensely swapped single-user platform practice. This study attempted to develop preliminary cost estimating program by means of Web technologies based on statistical modeling results. A prototype Web-based Preliminary Item-Level Cost Estimating System (WBPILCES) using open source software was developed as an on-line estimating tool in this research. The primary objective is to study the possible flexibility of implementing a centralized information system that will be maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) IT division. The full-scale deployment of proposed information architecture is expected to seamlessly integrate with legacy database system currently used by TxDOT so as to streamline data storage, cost growth tracking and estimates documentation.
