As automatic hacking tools and techniques have been improved, the number of new vulnerabilities has increased. The CVE registered from 2010 to 2015 numbered about 80,000, and it is expected that more vulnerabilities will be reported. In most cases, patching a vulnerability depends on the developers' capability, and most patching techniques are based on manual analysis, which requires nine months, on average. The techniques are composed of finding the vulnerability, conducting the analysis based on the source code, and writing new code for the patch. Zero-day is critical because the time gap between the first discovery and taking action is too long, as mentioned. To solve the problem, techniques for automatically detecting and analyzing software (SW) vulnerabilities have been proposed recently. Cyber Grand Challenge (CGC) held in 2016 was the first competition to create automatic defensive systems capable of reasoning over flaws in binary and formulating patches without experts' direct analysis. Darktrace and Cylance are similar projects for managing SW automatically with artificial intelligence and machine learning. Though many foreign commercial institutions and academies run their projects for automatic binary analysis, the domestic level of technology is much lower. This paper is to study developing automatic detection of SW vulnerabilities and defenses against them. We analyzed and compared relative works and tools as additional elements, and optimal techniques for automatic analysis are suggested.
OpenSSL is an open-source library implementing SSL that is a secure communication protocol. However, the library has a severe vulnerability that its security information can be easily exposed to malicious software when the library is used in a form of shared library on Linux and UNIX operating systems. We propose a scheme to attack the vulnerability of the OpenSSL library. The scheme injects codes into a running client program to execute the following attacks on the vulnerability in a SSL handshake. First, when a client sends a server a list of cryptographic algorithms that the client is willing to support, our scheme replaces all algorithms in the list with a specific algorithm. Such a replacement causes the server to select the specific algorithm. Second, the scheme steals a key for data encryption and decryption when the key is generated. Then the key is sent to an outside attacker. After that, the outside attacker decrypts encrypted data that has been transmitted between the client and the server, using the specified algorithm and the key. To show that our scheme is realizable, we perform an experiment of collecting encrypted login data that an ftp client using the OpenSSL shared library sends its server and then decrypting the login data.
SQL Injection techniques disclosed web hacking years passed, but these are classified the most dangerous attac ks. Recent web programming data for efficient storage and retrieval using a DBMS is essential. Mainly PHP, JSP, A SP, and scripting language used to interact with the DBMS. In this web environments application does not validate the client's invalid entry may cause abnormal SQL query. These unusual queries to bypass user authentication or da ta that is stored in the database can be exposed. SQL Injection vulnerability environment, an attacker can pass the web-based authentication using username and password and data stored in the database. Measures against SQL Inj ection on has been announced as a number of methods. But if you rely on any one method of many security hole ca n occur. The proposal of four levels leverage is composed with the source code, operational phases, database, server management side and the user input validation. This is a way to apply the measures in terms of why the accident preventive steps for creating a phased step-by-step response nodel, through the process of management measures, if applied, there is the possibility of SQL Injection attacks can be.

Recently computer, smart phone, medical devices, etc has become used in a variety of environments as the application fields of IT products have become diversification. Attack case of abuse of software security vulnerabilities is on the increase as the application fields of software have become diversification. Accordingly, secure coding program is of a varied but history management, updating, API module to be vulnerable to attack. Thus, this paper proposed a materialization of CMS linked system to enable check the vulnerability of the source code to content unit for secure software development, configuration management system that interwork on the transmission module. Implemented an efficient coding system secure way that departmentalized by the function of the program and by analyzing and applying secure coding standards.

Secure coding is a technique that detects malicious attack or unexpected errors to make software systems resilient against such circumstances. In many cases secure coding relies on static analysis tools to find vulnerable patterns and contaminated data in advance. However, secure coding has the disadvantage of being dependent on rule-sets, and accurate diagnosis is difficult as the complexity of static analysis tools increases. In order to support secure coding, we apply machine learning techniques, such as DNN, CNN and RNN to investigate into finding major weakness patterns shown in secure development coding guides and present machine learning models and experimental results. We believe that machine learning techniques can support detecting security weakness along with static analysis techniques.

In this study, structural vulnerability of reinforced concrete moment resisting frames (RC-MRFs) by considering the Iran-specific characteristics is investigated to manage the earthquake risk in terms of multicomponent seismic excitations. Low and medium rise RC-MRFs, which constitute approximately 80-90% of the total buildings stock in Iran, are focused in this fragility-based assessment. The seismic design of 3-12 story RC-MRFs are carried out according to the Iranian Code of Practice for Seismic Resistant Design of Buildings (Standard No. 2800), and the analytical models are formed accordingly in open source nonlinear platforms. Frame structures are categorized in three subclasses according to the specific characteristics of construction practice and the observed seismic performance after major earthquakes in Iran. Both far and near fields' ground motions have been considered in the fragility estimation. An optimal intensity measure (IM) called Sa, avg and beta probability distribution were used to obtain reliable fragility-based database for earthquake damage and loss estimation of RC buildings stock in urban areas of Iran. Nonlinear incremental dynamic analyses by means of lumped-parameter based structural models have been simulated and performed to extract the fragility curves. Approximate confidence bounds are developed to represent the epistemic uncertainties inherent in the fragility estimations. Consequently, it's shown that including vertical ground motion in the analysis is highly recommended for reliable seismic assessment of RC buildings.
In a wireless sensor network environment, it is required to ensure anonymity by keeping sensor nodes' identifiers not being revealed and to support real-time authentication, lightweight authentication and synchronization. In particular, there exist possibilities of location information leakage by others, privacy interference and security vulnerability when it comes to wireless telecommunications. Anonymity has been an importance issue in wired and wireless network environment, so that it has been studied in wide range. The sensor nodes are interconnected among them based on wireless network. In terms of the sensor node, the researchers have been emphasizing on its calculating performance limit, storage device limit, and smaller power source. To improve of biometric-based D. He scheme, this study proposes a real-time authentication protocol using Unique Random Sequence Code(URSC) and variable identifier for enhancing network performance and retaining anonymity provision.
Recently, the interest in hobby/leisure drones is increasing in the private sector, and the military also uses drones in various countries such as North Korea, the United States, and Iran for military purposes such as reconnaissance and destruction. A variety of drone related research is underway, such as establishing and operating drone units within the Korean military. Inparticular, recently, as the size of drone flight control source code increases and the number of functions increases, drone developers are getting accustomed to using open sources and using them without checking for separate security vulnerabilities. However, since these open sources are actually accessible to attackers, they are inevitably exposed to various vulnerabilities. In this paper, we propose an attack scenario for military drones using open sources in connection with these vulnerabilities using Telemetry Hijacking techniques.
The dissemination and use of mobile applications have been rapidly expanding these days. And in such a situation, the security of mobile applications has emerged as a new issue. Although the safety of general software such as desktop and enterprise software is systematically achieved from the development phase to the verification phase through secure coding, there have been not sufficient studies on the safety of mobile applications yet. This paper deals with deriving weakness enumeration specialized in mobile applications and implementing a tool that can automatically analyze the derived weakness. Deriving the weakness enumeration can be achieved based on CWE(Common Weakness Enumeration) and CERT(Computer Emergency Response Team) relating to the event-driven method that is generally used in developing mobile applications. The analysis tool uses the dynamic tests to check whether there are specified vulnerabilities in the source code of mobile applications. Moreover, the derived vulnerability could be used as a guidebook for programmers to develop mobile applications.
As the scale of airborne system software increases, the use of OOT (Object-Oriented Technology) is increasing for functional expansion, efficient development, and code reuse, but the verification method for airborne object-oriented software is conducted from the perspective of the existing procedure-oriented program. The purpose of this paper was to analyze the characteristics of OOT and the vulnerabilities derived from the functional characteristics of OOT, and present a verification method applicable to each software development process (Design, Coding and Testing) to ensure the functional safety integrity of aviation software to which OOT is applied. Additionally, we analyzed the meaning of the static analysis results among the step-by-step verification measures proposed by applying LDRA, a static analysis automation tool, to PX4, an open source used to implement flight control software.
