  • The performance of an OLED(organic luminescent emitting device) fabrication system strongly depends on the design of the evaporation cell-source. Trends in display sizes have hauled the enlargement of mother glass substrates. The enlargement of substrates requires the improvement and the enlargement of the effusion cell-source for OLED evaporation process. The deposited layers should be as uniform as possible, and therefore it is important to know the effusion profile of the molecules emitted from the cell-source. Conventional 2D DSMC algorithm cannot be used for simulating the new concept cell-source design, such as a linear source. This work concerns the development of 3D DSMC (direct simulation Monte Carlo) analysis for simulating the behavior of the evaporation cell-sources. In this paper, the 3D DSMC algorithm was developed and the film thickness profiles were obtained by the numerical analysis.

  • Two-dimensional Stokes flow due to the line source and line sink of same strength in semi-infinite flow region with free surface is analysed using complex variable theory and conformal mapping. Surface tension effects are included while gravity is neglected. From the results of analysis, flow pattern and free surface shape are obtained and velocity distribution on the free surface is determined with 2 independent parameters Ca (capillary number) and h (non-dimensionalized distance between source and sink). When the location of the sink is above the source, velocity on the free surface converges and a cusp occurs on the free surface for the value of Ca above some critical capillary number.

  • In this paper, we present a Sound Source Localization (SSL) based GCC (Generalized Cross Correlation)-PHAT (Phase Transform) and new measurement method of angle with robot auditory system for a network-based intelligent service robot. The main goal of this paper is to analysis performance of TDOA and GCC-PHAT sound source localization method and new angle measurement method is compared. We use GCC-PHAT for measuring time delays between several microphones. And sound source location is calculated by using time delays and new measurement method of angle. The robot platform used in this work is wever-R2, which is a network-based intelligent service robot developed at Intelligent Robot Research Division in ETRI.

  • In this study, the heat source distributions at the end side and the center of the electrode are analyzed to estimate the electrical stress due to the harmonics from the nonlinear loads. The governing equation at the analysis area of low voltage condenser are numerically solved using the finite element software package to analyze the effects of heat source distribution due to the 5th and 7th harmonics, which can exist normally in the distribution network and can be applied to the low voltage condenser. Finally, the heat source distribution from the harmonics is compared and analyzed with the heat source distribution from the fundamental component of the applied voltage.

  • In this paper, we investigate source separation algorithms for stereo audio mixed using amplitude panning method. This source separation algorithms can be used in various applications such as up-mixing, speech enhancement, and high quality sound source separation. The methods in this paper estimate the panning angles of individual signals using the principal component analysis being applied in time-frequency tiles of the input signal and independently extract each signal through directional filtering. Performances of the methods were evaluated through computer simulations.

  • Sensitivity analyses for several seismic source models were studied. For the area sources, the hazard is steeply decreasing with the source-to-site distance. Hazard is decreasing when the area of the source is increasing with fixed annual rate. For the fault sources, the fault length, distance from a site and dip angle of near fault show very sensitive effect to seismic hazard. But the various magnitude-rupture length relationships show effect to seismic hazard slightly. For the fault source with small magnitude, the exponential model is preferred rather than the characteristic model to the magnitude-recurrence law.

  • Independent component analysis (ICA)는 주어진 데이터를 통계적으로 독립인 요소들의 선형 결합으로 표시하는 통계학적 방법이다. ICA의 주요한 적용분야중의 하나는 source들의 선형 mixture로부터 어떠한 서전 정보도 없는 상태에서 원래의 통계학적 독립변수인 source를 복원하는 blind separation이다. ICA와 source separation을 위한 다양한 신경 학습 알고리듬이 제시되어왔다. ICA의 학습 알고리듬에서는 비선형 함수가 중요한 역할을 한다. 이 논문에서는 generalized 가우시안 prior를 도입하여 다양한 확률분포를 갖는 source들의 mixture를 분리하는 효율적인 source separation 알고리즘을 제시한다. 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 방법의 우수성을 살펴본다.

  • Software maintenance accounts for a large portion of the software life cycle cost. In the software maintenance phase, comprehending the legacy source code is inevitable, which takes most of the time. Source code readability is a metric of the extent of code readers' difficulty of code comprehension based on the source code itself. The better the code is readable, the easier it is for code readers to comprehend the source code. This paper proposes novel source code readability metric to quantitative measure the extent of current source code under development, which is more enhanced measurement method than previous research that dichotomously judges whether the source code was readable or not. As an evaluation, we carried out a survey and analyzed them with Regression Analysis to find best parameters of the metric.

  • Last target of architectural acoustics is that people wish to convey voice effectively from the space adaptively in use purpose in building. But, how exactly through space sound (sound source) that wish to deliver from indoor can be passed method to do quantification and evaluate quantity of sound by method to serve indoor architectural acoustics estimation summer period and methods to estimate definition propose. This Study searches special quality of sound source about MLS signal that is occurred short-answer sound source (pistol sound source) and nondirectional speaker among indoor sound estimation method, and measure and analyzed reverberation time (RT60), definition (C80, D50) by regulation of each ISO 3382 in age place (classroom, hall, gymnasium). Analysis result and sound factor among could know that d of two sound sources converges in measurement error extent about reverberation time (RT60) of analysis incidental and sound factors and value shows change irregularly about sound factor of D50, C80, pistol sound source judged there is problem. Also, could know that problem is happened in deflection except reverberation time is in deflection analysis with wave that measure each in fixed distance in branch. Finally, when differ size of sound source and measure about change of sound pressure level in case measure sound pressure level giving difference about 10 dB, sound factor could know that there is no different effect.

Statistical Back Trajectory Analysis for Estimation of CO2 Emission Source Regions (공기괴 역궤적 모델의 통계 분석을 통한 이산화탄소 배출 지역 추정)

  • Statistical trajectory analysis has been widely used to identify potential source regions for chemically and radiatively important chemical species in the atmosphere. The most widely used method is a statistical source-receptor model developed by Stohl (1996), of which the underlying principle is that elevated concentrations at an observation site are proportionally related to both the average concentrations on a specific grid cell where the observed air mass has been passing over and the residence time staying over that grid cell. Thus, the method can compute a residence-time-weighted mean concentration for each grid cell by superimposing the back trajectory domain on the grid matrix. The concentration on a grid cell could be used as a proxy for potential source strength of corresponding species. This technical note describes the statistical trajectory approach and introduces its application to estimate potential source regions of $CO_2$ enhancements observed at Korean Global Atmosphere Watch Observatory in Anmyeon-do. Back trajectories are calculated using HYSPLIT 4 model based on wind fields provided by NCEP GDAS. The identified $CO_2$ potential source regions responsible for the pollution events observed at Anmyeon-do in 2010 were mainly Beijing area and the Northern China where Haerbin, Shenyang and Changchun mega cities are located. This is consistent with bottom-up emission information. In spite of inherent uncertainties of this method in estimating sharp spatial gradients within the vicinity of the emission hot spots, this study suggests that the statistical trajectory analysis can be a useful tool for identifying anthropogenic potential source regions for major GHGs.
