지하레이다(GPR)를 이용한 터널 라이닝 비파괴시험에 관한 연구 (Non-Destructive Test for Tunnel Lining Using Ground Penetrating Radar)

  • It is necessary to estimate the soundness of tunnel using non-destructive tests(NDT) for effective repairs and maintenances. But, the state of tunnel lining could not be investigated using previous non-destructive techniques, due to the various types of support and accessibility only from one side in tunnel lining. Recently, the various non-destructive techniques such as ground penetrating radar(GPR) have been researched and developed for inspection of tunnel lining. In this study, the usefulness and applicability of GPR test in tunnel lining inspection has been investigated through model tests and tunnel site application. This paper described the tunnel lining inspection for lining thickness, cavity and support using GPR test. From the results of tests, we have concluded that GPR test are very useful and effective techniques to look into the interior of lining and measure the lining thickness.

  • Concrete structures is appeared the shrinkage after being harden of the hydration effect of cement. To overcome this disadvantage, expansive additives are used. In our country, the most popular expansive additives are hauyne(CSA) or free lime(free-CaO) systems. These expansive additives are used to expansive cement mortar or concrete materials. In this study, we analyzed the expansive property mechanism about the hydration reaction of the free lime systems and in particular we convinced size distributions of the free lime size affect the expansion ratio with expansion ratio with experiments. We carried out the experiment for the expansive properties by using the soundness molds and with various the humidity and dry setting conditions. The hydration reactions of the free lime affect the reaction properties according to the relative humidity by laboratory experiments.

비선형 Boussinesq방정식을 이용한 유로대수층 해석 (Analysis of stream-aquifer using nonlinear Boussinesq equation)

  • To investigate the flow characteristics by the water stage variation between stream-aquifer, the new solution of nonlinear Boussinesq equation was derived and extended using the Boltzmann transformation. The soundness of the analytic solution obtained from this study was examined by the comparison with the linearized analytic solution and the numerical solution by finite difference method. And the movement, velocity, flowrate and volume of flow caused by the stage variation of stream and the existence of regional gradient were estimated. This new analytic solution can express the groundwater movement between stream-aquifer. So, it might be helpful to manage water environment.

  • In conventional three-phase rectifiers, it was necessary to use a transformer to obtain low output voltage. In this paper, we propose a characteristic experimental of three-phase diode rectifiers circuit that achieves low voltage by using a very simple circuit configuration that does not have a transformer and does not need any complex control. We also describe the operation principle of the proposed circuit, and der?ive a theoretical formula for its current waveform. On the basis these theoretical values with experimentally obtained input output current characteristics, current amplification factor, and output voltage characteristics, allowed us to confirm the soundness of our theoretical analyses.

  • As concrete structure is getting old and decrepit, its inspection and diagnosis is getting important. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate the soundness of structure using non-destructive tests for effective repairs and maintenances. But, applications of non-destructive tests in tunnel have been used restrictively, due to accessibility only from one side in tunnel lining and presence of tunnel installations. Recently, the various non-destructive techniques have been studied. Especially, ground penetrating radar(GPR) and impact echo (IE) methods have been researched for tunnel inspection. In this study, the applicability of impact echo test in tunnel lining inspection has been investigated. This paper described the tunnel inspection for lining thickness and internal flaw using impact echo tests. Model tests were carried out using impact echo test systems on two concrete models, Model I is measuring for lining thickness, Model II is detecting for internal flaw. Also, the test were applied for lining inspections in a tunnel constructed by NATM. From the results of impact echo tests, we have concluded that impact echo test is a very useful and effective technique for inspecting the concrete tunnel linings.

어항 및 항만개발의 친수공간 조성에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Composition of Water-Friendly Space in Port and Harbour Development)

  • The composition of water-friendly space in the port and harbour developments provides the accessibility to the sea and thus resting & recreational function of the local citizen, which should be treated importantly for the eco-friendly coastal development. However, the high demand on water-friendly space can induce another environmental problem because most port and harbour developments require marine reclamation and the water-friendly space are made up on the reclamation area. The present study analysed the problems and suggested matters to be considered in composing the water-friendly space of port and harbour developments. The study also established the management direction by site characteristics of port and harbour. In addition, we attempt to find a plan to avoid the water-friendly space composition with environmental damage and to secure the environmental and public soundness in site selection, land use and facilities plan based on case studies.

  • This paper is to enable electrical safety manager to have more objective evaluation on the safety by indicating quantitative values such as life-time and status quotient of daily visual inspection on private electrical equipments. Self-diagnosis table is recommended to apply such a evaluation efficiently according to the characteristics of each electrical equipments, and the managers's determination of the precise inspection, replacement etc. will be also possible through the standard selected by various domestic and foreign data with expert's advise for numerical evaluation. This circumstance will be able to establish the foundation to secure the soundness of electrical equipments.

  • 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 잔골재 대체 골재로써의 재활용을 위한 재강슬래그의 특성을 조사하였다. 화학조성과 중금속 용출, 재강슬래그의 soundness 및 모르타르의 압축강도를 측정하였다. 그 결과, 중금속 용출과 soundness는 한국 산업 기준(Korean Industrial Standard)과 한국 환경 기준(Korean Environmental Limit)에 적합하였다. 모르타르의 압축 강도는 재강슬래그의 대체 비율이 커질수록 증가하였다.

  • Arresters are the best protective device on electrical power systems against transient overvoltages generated by lightning and/or switching operation. Nonetheless, arresters will be deteriorated due to absorption of moisture in the environments of its use, repetition in the protective operation to overvoltages, and some defects at manufacturing. It is therefore important to estimate the electrical characteristic changes of ZnO blocks. In this paper, an accelerated deterioration test by a standard lightning impulse current was carried out to extract parameters needed for diagnosing arrester deterioration, and leakage current components were measured. Total energy applied to the ZnO blocks at each time is 1,050[J] in 8/20[${\mu}s$] impulse current. From the experimental results, we proposed electrical parameters and leakage current level to diagnose arrester soundness.

  • The structural soundness of bridges is mainly damaged by overloaded heavy vehicles. The increasing volumes of overloaded heavy vehicles has been indicated as serious state. As results several countries have revised their bridge load codes. However, because of variety of truck types and their weights it is difficult to develop rational standard truck loads. In addition the common practice that only one design configuration of standard truck is adopted to design variety of bridges causes further difficulties. The objective of the study is to investigate the statistical characteristics of vehicle loadings based on survey data col looted, in which some major factors, such as vehicle configurations, vehicle freights, traffic modes, etc. are incorporated.
