Sol-Gel법에 의한 $TiO_{2}-V_{2}O_{5}$ 박막형 습도센서 ($TiO_{2}-V_{2}O_{5}$ Thin Film Type Humidity Sensor Fabricated by Sol-Gel Method)

  • 본 논문은 졸겔법에 의해 $TiO_{2}-V_{2}O_{5}$ 습도센서를 제조하고, 미세구조 및 결정구조를 분석하여 습도감지특성이 뛰어난 최적 제조조건을 찾았다. 그레인 크기는 $Ti^{4+}$ 사이트에 치환되는 $V^{5+}$비에 비례하여 증가하였다. X-선 회절분석 결과, $V_{2}O_{5}$비에 관계없이 $V^{5+}$피크는 확인할 수 없었다. 실험결과로부터 $V_{2}O_{5}$비가 1mol%, 열처리온도가 $700^{\circ}C$일때 가장 우수한 습도감지특성을 나타내었다. 시편의 정전용량은 주파수가 증가할수록 감소하였다.

  • Thin films of Pb(Zr,Ti)O$_3$ were fabricated by means of the sol-gel spin-coating method and the multi-coating of eight coating numbers. The thin films were dried on the temperature range of 250 ~ 400($^{\circ}C$), whenever the specimens were dried after each coating Processing. The fabricated ferroelectric thin films of lead zirconate titanate(PZT) were treated with the rapid thermal annealing(RTA) at 650($^{\circ}C$),or 3(min), and direct insertion thermal annealing(DITA) at 650($^{\circ}C$), for 30(min). The measured properties of dielectric thin films were following: The good results of dielectric properties were shown by the RTA specimen. The saturation polarization(Ps), remanent polarization(Pr), coercive field (Ec), dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor of the RTA specimen were estimated to be about 27.1[ $\mu$ C/$\textrm{cm}^2$], 13.7[ $\mu$ C/$\textrm{cm}^2$], 55.6(kV/cm), 786 and 6.4(%) respectively.

Sol-Gel법에 의한 SnO2의 물성 및 센싱 특성 (Material and Sensing Properties of SnO2 prepared by Sol-Gel Methods)

  • 초기 물질은 $SnCl_2{\cdot}2H_2O$$C_2H_5OH$를 사용하여 sol-gel 법으로 제조된 $SnO_2$ 미세 분말의 제반 물성과 전기적 센싱 특성에 대하여 검토하였다. Gel 분말은 sol을 72시간과 168시간 숙성(aging) 시킨 후 $120^{\circ}C$에서 건조하여 제조하였다. $600^{\circ}C$이하에서는 휘발성 물질이 제거되면서 $SnO_2$ 상이 증가하고. $700^{\circ}C$/30min 열처리로 $SnO_2$ 상 생성은 거의 완결된다. 입자 크기는 $700^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 30nm 이하로 유사하고 입도 분포도 좁았다. 전기적 성질 측정을 위한 시편은 후막법으로 알루미나 기판위에 제조하였다. 공기 중의 전도성은 $450^{\circ}C$ 부터 반도성 세라믹스의 진성(intrinsic) 거동을 보이고, $200-450^{\circ}C$ 구간에서는 $SnO_2$ 입자 표면에서의 산소흡착에 기인해서 전도성 변화가 작았다. 환원성 CO 기체에 대한 응답성, 회복성 그리고 감도 특성은 숙성일자 증가로 향상되었다.

졸-겔법을 이용한 광증폭기의 Er 이온 캡슐화 및 광학적 특성 (Encapsulation and optical properties of Er3+ ions for planar optical amplifiers via sol-gel process)

  • The fast evolution in the fold of optical communication systems demands powerful optical information treatment. These functions can be performed by integrated optical systems. A key component of such systems is erbium doped waveguide amplifier(EDWA). The intra 4f radiative transition of Er at 1.5 $\mu\textrm{m}$ is particularly interesting because this wavelength is standard in optical telecommunications. The fabrication of waveguide amplifier for integrated optics using sol-gel process has received an increasing attention. Potential advantage of lower cost by less capital equipment and easy processing makes this process an attractive alternatives to conventional technologies like flame hydrolysis deposition, ion exchange and chemical vapor deposition, etc. In addition, sol-gel process has been found to be extremely suitable for the control of composition and refractive index related directly with optical properties. The main drawback of such an amplifier with respect to the EDWA is the need for a much higher Er3+ concentration to compensate for the smaller interaction length. However, the high doping of Er might be resulted in the non-radiative relaxation by clustering of Er ions End co-operative upconversion. In order to solve this problem, we investigate the possibility of avoiding short Er-Er distances by encapsulation of Er3+ ions in hosts such as organic-inorganic hybrid materials. For inorganic-organic hybrid sols, methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPTS), zirconyl chloride octahydrate and erbium(III) chloride hexahydrate were used as starting materials, followed by conventional sol-gel process. It was observed by TEM that nano sols having core/shell toplology were formed, depending on the mole ratio of Zr/Er. The surface roughness for the coatings on Si substrate was investigated by AFM as a function of Zr/Er ratio. The local environment and vibrational Properties of Er3+ ions were studied using Near-IR, FT-IR, and UV/Vis spectroscopy. Nano hybrid coatings derived from polymer and Er doped encapsulation Eave the good luminescence at 1.55$\mu\textrm{m}$.

Sol-gel법으로 제조된 $\textrm{PbTiO}_3$ 박막의 온도에 따른 수축 및 응력거동 (In Situ Shrinkage and Stress Development for $\textrm{PbTiO}_3$, Films Prepared by Sol-gel Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 sol-gel법으로 제조된 $PbTiO_3$ (PT) 단층박막내의 실시간 응력과 두께 수축거동, 그리고 다층박막의 미세경도를 온도의 함수로 측정하여 열처리에 따른 PT박막내의 물리화학적 변화를 설명하였다. 단층박막은 상온에서 $220^{\circ}C$까지 급격한 수축을 보였으며 총수축량의 83%가 이 온도구간에서 일어났다. as-spun된 박막 내에는 이미 75MPa의 인장응력이 존재하였으며 13$0^{\circ}C$부터 뚜렷이 증가하여 $250^{\circ}C$에서 147MPa의 최대 인장응력을 나타냈다. 인장응력의 급격한 감소가 일어나는 $370^{\circ}C$부터는 본격적으로 치밀화된 PT박막과 Si 기판과의 열팽창계수 차이가 주로 박막내의 응력을 결정하며, 이것은 다층박막의 미세경도가 $300^{\circ}C$ 이후에서 급격히 증가하는 사실로도 뒷받침된다. 한편 다층박막에서 단층박막과 달리 $550^{\circ}C$까지 열처리후 Perovskite 상이 많이 생성되었으며 이는 박막 두께의 증가에 따른 homogenous 핵생성 site의 증가 때문이라고 생각된다

Hydrophillic and Hydrophobic Properties of Sol-Gel Processed Sillica Coating Layers

  • The control of wettability of thin films is of great importance and its success surely brings us huge applications such as self-cleaning, antifogging and bio-passive treatments. Usually, the control is accomplished by modifying either surface energy or surface topography of films. In general, hydrophobic surface can be produced by coating low surface energy materials such as fluoropolymer or by increasing surface roughness. In contrast, to enhance the hydrophillicity of solid surfaces, high surface energy and smoothness are required. Silica (SiO2) is environmentally safe, harmless to human body and excellently inert to most chemicals. Also its chemical composition is made up of the most abundant elements on the earth's crest, which means that SiO2 is inherently economical in synthesis. Moreover, modification in chemistry of SiO2 into various inorganic-organic hybrid materials and synthesis of films are easily undertaken with the sol-gel process. The contact angle of water on a flat silica surface on which the Young's equation operates shows ~50o. This is a slightly hydrophilic surface. Many attempts have been made to enhance hydrophilicity of silica surfaces. In recent years, superhydrophilic and antireflective coatings of silica were fabricated from silica nanoparticles and polyelectrolytes via a layer-by-layer assembly and postcalcination treatment. This coating layer has a high transmittance value of 97.1% and a short water spread time to flat of <0.5 s, indicating that both antireflective and superhydrophilic functions were realized on the silica surfaces. In this study, we assessed hydrophillicity and hydrophobicity of silica coating layers that were synthesized using the sol-gel process. Systematic changes of processing parameters greatly influence their surface properties.

졸-겔 방법으로 제조된 Er doped $Al_2O_3/SiO_2$ 필름의 다공성과 결정성에 대한 광 발광 특성 (The dependence of porosity and crystallity on photoluminescence properties of Er doped $Al_2O_3/SiO_2$ films prepared by sol-gel method)

  • Optical amplificator have been used to compensate the losses in the optical signal transmission and processing. Today, there has been increasing demand for the very low cost optical amplifier. Sol-gel offers considerable potential both low cost manufacture, and for great flexibility in materials composition and structure. In addition, the sol-gel process is a very attractive method for producing porous materials with controlled structure. In this work, we present the potoluminescence properties of Er doped A1$_2$O$_3$/SiO$_2$ films. Erbium doped alumina nano sol was prepared by Al(NO$_3$)$_3$.9$H_2O$ and Er(NO$_3$)$_3$.5$H_2O$ through hydrolysis and peptization, and then GPS (3-Glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane) was added into Er doped alumina nano sol for organic- inorganic hybridization. Er doped A1$_2$O$_3$/SiO$_2$ film was obtained by spin coating, dip coating and thermal treatment from 30$0^{\circ}C$~120$0^{\circ}C$, and there were crack-free after thermal treatment. The thickness of film was measured SEM, and the porosity of film was characterized by BET and TGA. The crystal phase of Er doped A1$_2$O$_3$/SiO$_2$ were determined by XRD. Finally, the photoluminescence properties of Er doped A1$_2$O$_3$/SiO$_2$ films will be discuss with the consideration of porosity and crystallity.

디스크형 산화구리 촉매담지 세라믹필터의 제조와 물성 (Preparation and Properties of Disc Type CuO Catalyst Impregnated Ceramic Filters)

  • A catalyst with CuO ceramic filter for simultaneous treatment of dust and HAP was prepared and characterized. Catalytic ceramic filter can not only potentially achieve the substantial savings in energy but provide with effective optimization and integration of process for simultaneous removal of SO$_2$, NO$_{x}$ and particulates from flue gases. Catalytic ceramic filters remove simultaneously particulates on exterior surface of filters and reduce NO to $N_2$ and $H_2O$ by SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) process. Preparation of catalyst impregnated ceramic filter with disk shape (Ψ 50) follow the processing of alumino-silicate ceramic filter, support impregnation and catalyst impregnation (copper oxide). Preparation routes of alumino-silicate catalyst carrier suitable for production of catalytic filters practically were studied and developed using the sol-gel and colloidal processing, homogeneous precipitation and impregnation method. Characterization of the catalyst, catalyst carrier catalytic filter materials have been performed the using various techniques such as BET, XRD, TGA, SEM. Combination of the sol-gel and colloidal processing and impregnation method is recommended to prepare catalyst carriers economically for catalytic filter applications.s.

The Effect of a Sol-gel Formed TiO2 Blocking Layer on the Efficiency of Dye-sensitized Solar Cells

  • The effect of a dense $TiO_2$ blocking layer prepared using the sol-gel method on the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells was studied. The blocking layer formed directly on the working electrode, separated it from the electrolyte, and prevented the back transfer of electrons from the electrode to the electrolyte. The dyesensitized solar cells were prepared with a working electrode of fluorine-doped tin oxide glass coated with a blocking layer of dense $TiO_2$, a dye-attached mesoporous $TiO_2$ film, and a nano-gel electrolyte, and a counter electrode of Pt-deposited FTO glass. The gel processing conditions and heat treatment temperature for blocking layer formation affected the morphology and performance of the cells, and their optimal values were determined. The introduction of the blocking layer increased the conversion efficiency of the cell by 7.37% for the cell without a blocking layer to 8.55% for the cell with a dense $TiO_2$ blocking layer, under standard illumination conditions. The short-circuit current density ($J_{sc}$) and open-circuit voltage ($V_{oc}$) also were increased by the addition of a dense $TiO_2$ blocking layer.

졸-겔법에 의해 카올리나이트 분말에 코팅된 티타니아의 결정화 (Crystallization of the Titania Coated on Kaolinite Powder using Sol-Gel Method)

  • 카올리나이트(kaolinite) 분말의 티타니아(Titania, $TiO_2$) 포팅을 위한 출발물질로서 인도네시아산 카올리나이트와 티타늄-아이소프로폭사이드(titanium isopropoxidc, TIP)가 사용되었으며, 실험은 졸-겔법(sol-gel method)으로 수행되었다. 또한 강매로서 에탄올이, 가수분해 반응을 위해 물이 사용되었으며 촉매로서 염산을 첨가하였다. 카올리나이트 분말의 소성여부에 따른 영향을 검토하기 위해 카올리나이트와 메타카올리나이트(metakaolinite)를 대상으로 각각 실험하였으며, 반응 혼합물의 몰비, 교반시간, 숙성시간, 결정화 시간과 온도의 변화에 따른 티타니아 결정도를 검토하였다. 실험조건 TIP 0.1 몰(mol), 물 0.15 몰, 염산 0.005 몰, 에탄을 100 ml, 카올리나이트 50 g, 교반 4시간, 숙성 24시간, 결정화온도 $1050^{\circ}C$, 결정화 2시간에서 가장 높은 아나타제 결정도 17.61%를 나타냈다. 결정화온도의 변화에 따른 아나타제 결정도 분석결과, 카올리나이트와 메타카올리나이트 분말에 코팅된 티타니아는 $1050^{\circ}C$$1200^{\circ}C$에서 각각 37.61%, 17.39%로 최고의 결정도가 관찰되었다. 즉, 카올리나이트 분말에 코팅된 티타니아가 메타카올리나이트에 비해 더 낮은 온도에서 더 높은 결정도를 나타냈다.
