In this study, an integrated damage identification system (IDIS) using modal information to detect damage in structures is presented. The main dobjective is to develop a system of softwares that facilitates detecting damage locations and estimating damage severities in bridges. Firstly, theoretical background for IDIS is outlined. Secondly, a GUI-based IDIS software scheme are programmed. Finally, the feasibility and applicability of the IDIS software are experimentally demonstrated using small-scaled plate-girder models.

Fluid model based numerical analysis is done to simulate a plasma processing system with electrodes at floating potential. $V_f$ is a function of electron temperature, electron mass and ion mass. Commercial plasma fluid simulation softwares do not provide options for floating electrode boundary value condition. We developed a user subroutine in CFD-ACE+ and compared four different cases: grounded, dielectric, zero normal electric field and floating electric potential for a 2D-CCP (capacitively coupled plasma) with a ring electrode.

[ $T_EX$ ] is a typesetting system created by Donald E. Knuth for producing publication-quality scientific books and journals. It is famous for the line breaking algorithm, the formatting of complex mathematical formula, and the powerful macro programming capability. Recently $T_EX$ plays a new role of an automatic typesetting engine. The paper describes $T_EX$ in the framework of typography by comparing with DTP softwares and word processors.

We collect the Korean Database which can be trained for the speech recognition engine in an automotive environment. We describe the overall trends of the Korean database collections in this paper and suggest a database collection method for the speech recognition system of the car-kit and explain several conditions in collecting the database in the automotive environments. Finally, we expain an effective method of the Korean database collection in the automobile and the results of the database colletions, and the devised softwares used for the collection of the database.

This article is the basic study to develop computer software for the household financial management that can manage household effectively. For this study 5 housekeeping books and 9 computer softwares were analyzed and compared. Additionally financial bookeeping behavior and household financial satisfaction-related variables were investigated through questionnaire. The subjects were 284 housewives who live in Seoul and the method that was used to analyze the data were frequency 2 multiple regression analysis.

Noise maps of a city in Korea have been made using commercial noise map softwares by measuring the basic data in the city. The result in this study will be used to evaluate the environmental impact of noise from various noise sources and to implement the Korean noise map standard.

This study proposes a CIM shell that is consisted with computers connected by a LAN. Since this system excludes production hardwares, physical movements of devices are represented by computer simulation. On the other hand, softwares that dictate system operation are real, and consu- me physical time. Thus the shell becomes half-real-half-simulation that requires events synchronization mechanism. This study shows the building procedure of such shell as well as an example of application of the shell.

The implementation of MAP(Manufacturing Automation Protocol) NIU(network interface uint) is studied and presented in this paper. Hardwares and system softwares for network management, user interface, and medium access control are developed. Also LLC(Logical Link Control) protocol is implemented. Afterwards, The operations of NIU using self-test functions are tested. Compatibility between interfaces according to IEEE 802.4 standard is also tested.
