종합병원 사무직 여성의 직무 및 사회심리적 스트레스가 직무만족, 조직몰입, 이직의향에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of work and psychosocial stress on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and leaving intention in general hospital female office workers)

  • This study tires to examine affects that job and socio-psychological stresses of female office workers influence job satisfaction, organization commitment, and leaving intentions. A complete data are collected by conducting a survey with 240 female office workers from 9 medical institutions regarded as almost general hospital in Seoul. It is analyzed that the relation between socio-psychological stress and job satisfaction, organization commitment, and leaving intentions by using t-test; analysis of variance; correlation analysis; principal component analysis; linear structural equation modeling; etc. The results of this study are summarized as following. First, as it was comprehended by specific characteristics of subjects that the female office workers' level of job and socio-psychological stress, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and leaving intention, there were statistically significant distinctions from their age, marital status, presence of children, position in the organization, type of employment, and monthly average income. Second, this study regarded relationship between the female office workers' level of job and socio-psychological stresses, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and leaving intention. Job and socio-psychological stresses were negatively correlated with job satisfaction and organizational commitment, but the stresses were positive with leaving intention. Third, after evaluating effect that 8 features related to the job stress could influence job stress, the most effective valuables were in order to unfairness in organizational structure, workplace culture, inadequate compensation, and relationship conflict. Fourth, when looking at the overall effects of the job and sociopsychological stresses on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and leaving intention, work autonomy was the most influencing factor of work stress levels. The level of the job stress seemed to be a prevalent impact on the leaving intention and it showed the most negative relationship that path coefficient from leaving intention to organizational commitment and also from organizational commitment to job satisfaction. Based on these findings, it can be defined that the job and socio-psychological stresses strongly influence job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and leaving intention.

사회 . 심리적 스트레스 요인이 건강상태에 미치는 영향 (A Study on Socio-Psychological Stresses affected with Healthe Status)

  • This study was conducted in order to determine health effects of socio-psychological stresses in Taegu Area from march 1 thorough march 31, 1998. Three hundred and thirty three subjects(168 males and 165 females) were randomly selected and interviewed by trained interviewers according to questionnaires. The results are summarized as fellows; 1. Health statuses by age, education religion, marital status, occupation and family income were significantly different. 2. The factors which had significant influences on Health status ware vitality, depression and general feeling of subjects' health. 3. Health status were directly influenced by the age(direct effect=-0.014), vitality(direct effect=0.473), and general feeling of subjects' health (direct effect=0.222), but, was indirectly influenced by education degree (indirect effect=0.010), income(indirect effect=0.039), and mental depression(indirect effect=-0.069). The variabilities which were both directly and indirectly influenced, were the age (direct effect=-0.014, indirect effect=-0.002), vitality(direct effect=0.473, indirect effect=-0.071).

노인가계의 경제적 스트레스, 대처행동 및 심리적 복지감 (Economic Stress, Coping Strategy and Psychological Wellbeing for Elderly Households)

  • The propose of this study is to examine the economic stresses and coping strategies for elderly households depending on the variables of background, and to analyze the relations between these factors. Elderly households which satisfied the following criteria were recruited for participation: (a) reside in Seoul, or in the metropolitan area (b) live apart from their adult children after retirement and (c) ages over sixty. From September 20th, 2006 to November 30th, 2006, 296 were used for this research. First, the mean score of the economic stress level of elderly households was 2.87 out of 5, and the stress levels of income expenditure and asset debt were intermediate. The mean score of the economic coping strategy was 3.17 out of 5. In order to overcome economic stress, elderly households utilized reducing their expenditure, financial management, and re-employment. The level of elderly households' life satisfaction was 3.29 of 5 and the depression was 3.17 of 5. Second, there was a difference in accordance with the objective economic variables and the degree of the economic stress after the review of the variables of the elderly households and the coping strategy due to economic stress. The result shows that the households which had a low economic status and high economic stress from the objective viewpoint participated in more economic activities. Their reactions were to decrease the overall expenditure through reducing the expenditure rather than to manage the asset effectively through re-employment or to inaugurating a business. Third, I analyzed situational factors, economic stress, and economic coping strategy in order to compare relative contributors to psychological well-being through using regression. At the third phase in the process of analysis, the socio-psychological factors appeared to be significant factors contributing to psychological well-being. Regarding the stress caused by income expenditure increased, when elderly households were more concerned about reducing expenditure and re-employment, their feelings of depression increased.

방사선사의 건강행위 실천과 육체적$\cdot$사회 심리적 상태와의 관련성 연구 (A Study on Relationship between Health Behaviors Practice and Physical$\cdot$Social and Psychological States Radiological Technologists)

  • This study is aimed at examining the relationship between health behaviors practices and physical and psychological stresses of radiological technologists who are working at general hospitals across the country. For this purpose, a survey was conducted to 890 subjects by means of questionnaires from the middle of July to the end of August 2003, which resulted in the following outcomes: 1. From the technical and statistical analysis into the physical and psychological states, the item 'I feel miserable and dejected' scored the highest points of (3.91), implying that most subjects got heavily stressed, while the item 'Life is worth living' recorded (2.59), representing that only a few of them got less stressed. 2. With regard to an analysis of variance depending on their regular exercise, a significant difference appeared in 7 items(Pl, P2, P5, P6, P12, P17, and Pl8)(P<0.05). 3. Out of analysis into such variance as smoking, significant results were found in the items 'I become uncomfortable or disturbed at night' and 'I can solve my own problems'(P<0.05), while no significant difference was confirmed in other items regardless smoking. 4. From the T-test conducted to the independent sample depending on the drive under the influence, a significant difference was shown only in the item 'I feel very exhausted, even eating is a labo'( P<0.05). 5. The T-test with the independent sample of drinking coffee, the item 'I am satisfied with the method and the procedure of things I do' turned out to be significant( P<0.05) while no particular difference was confirmed in other items. In conclusion, it was revealed from the study that the physical and psychological states and health-related practices of radiological technologists seemed to be more affected by regular exercise than by smoking or drinking wine or coffee, a result confirming that the health-related acts are closely associated with the socio-psychological stresses. It is, therefore, strongly suggested that the practice of health-related acts to properly control stress will contribute to promoting health and pre venting disease of radiological technologists.
