온라인 네트워킹 활동이 가상협업 역량 및 업무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Online Social Networking on Individual Virtual Competence and Task Performance in Organizations)

  • With the advent of communication technologies including electronic collaborative tools and conferencing systems provided over the Internet, virtual collaboration is becoming increasingly common in organizations. Virtual collaboration refers to an environment in which the people working together are interdependent in their tasks, share responsibility for outcomes, are geographically dispersed, and rely on mediated rather than face-to face, communication to produce an outcome. Research suggests that new sets of individual skill, knowledge, and ability (SKAs) are required to perform effectively in today's virtualized workplace, which is labeled as individual virtual competence. It is also argued that use of online social networking sites may influence not only individuals' daily lives but also their capability to manage their work-related relationships in organizations, which in turn leads to better performance. The existing research regarding (1) the relationship between virtual competence and task performance and (2) the relationship between online networking and task performance has been conducted based on different theoretical perspectives so that little is known about how online social networking and virtual competence interplay to predict individuals' task performance. To fill this gap, this study raises the following research questions: (1) What is the individual virtual competence required for better adjustment to the virtual collaboration environment? (2) How does online networking via diverse social network service sites influence individuals' task performance in organizations? (3) How do the joint effects of individual virtual competence and online networking influence task performance? To address these research questions, we first draw on the prior literature and derive four dimensions of individual virtual competence that are related with an individual's self-concept, knowledge and ability. Computer self-efficacy is defined as the extent to which an individual beliefs in his or her ability to use computer technology broadly. Remotework self-efficacy is defined as the extent to which an individual beliefs in his or her ability to work and perform joint tasks with others in virtual settings. Virtual media skill is defined as the degree of confidence of individuals to function in their work role without face-to-face interactions. Virtual social skill is an individual's skill level in using technologies to communicate in virtual settings to their full potential. It should be noted that the concept of virtual social skill is different from the self-efficacy and captures an individual's cognition-based ability to build social relationships with others in virtual settings. Next, we discuss how online networking influences both individual virtual competence and task performance based on the social network theory and the social learning theory. We argue that online networking may enhance individuals' capability in expanding their social networks with low costs. We also argue that online networking may enable individuals to learn the necessary skills regarding how they use technological functions, communicate with others, and share information and make social relations using the technical functions provided by electronic media, consequently increasing individual virtual competence. To examine the relationships among online networking, virtual competence, and task performance, we developed research models (the mediation, interaction, and additive models, respectively) by integrating the social network theory and the social learning theory. Using data from 112 employees of a virtualized company, we tested the proposed research models. The results of analysis partly support the mediation model in that online social networking positively influences individuals' computer self-efficacy, virtual social skill, and virtual media skill, which are key predictors of individuals' task performance. Furthermore, the results of the analysis partly support the interaction model in that the level of remotework self-efficacy moderates the relationship between online social networking and task performance. The results paint a picture of people adjusting to virtual collaboration that constrains and enables their task performance. This study contributes to research and practice. First, we suggest a shift of research focus to the individual level when examining virtual phenomena and theorize that online social networking can enhance individual virtual competence in some aspects. Second, we replicate and advance the prior competence literature by linking each component of virtual competence and objective task performance. The results of this study provide useful insights into how human resource responsibilities assess employees' weakness and strength when they organize virtualized groups or projects. Furthermore, it provides managers with insights into the kinds of development or training programs that they can engage in with their employees to advance their ability to undertake virtual work.

서울지역 장·노년층의 인터넷활용능력, 대인관계능력, 사회활동에 관한 연구: 잠재평균분석을 활용한 집단비교 (The Research of Ability to Use Internet, Interpersonal Skill, and Social Activity among the 50's and 60's in Seoul: Latent Mean Analysis)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정보화시대 장·노년층의 인터넷활용능력과 사회활동의 관계에서 대인관계능력의 매개효과를 검증하는데 있다. 또한 장·노년층 세대 내 정보화격차를 고려하여 50대와 60대 간의 인터넷활용능력, 대인관계능력 및 사회활동의 차이를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구에 활용된 자료는 서울시복지재단에서 실시한 2008년 서울시복지패널조사이며, 50대 644명과 60대 297명이 최종분석대상으로 추출되었다. 연구방법은 대상자의 특성, 집단 간 평균비교와 신뢰도 검증을 위해 기술 분석, t-test, 신뢰도분석을 실시하였다. 또한 구조방정식을 활용한 매개모형의 검증과 50대와 60대 간의 평균비교를 위해 잠재평균분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 인터넷활용능력과 사회활동의 관계에서 대인관계능력은 부분매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 집단 간 잠재평균분석 결과 50대는 인터넷활용능력이 높으며 60대는 사회활동이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 정보화시대 장·노년층의 정보화교육은 노년기 사회활동을 증대할 수 있는 인터넷커뮤니케이션 활용기술과 관련되어 진행되어야 할 것이며, 세대 내 인터넷활용능력에 대한 고려가 필요함을 입증하였다.

Ayres의 감각통합(Ayres Sensory Integration®) 그룹 놀이 활동이 저소득층 ADHD 아동의 감각처리능력, 사회적 기술능력과 자아존중감에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Group Play Activities Based on Ayres Sensory Integration® on Sensory Processing Ability, Social Skill Ability and Self-Esteem of Low-Income Children With ADHD)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 Ayres의 감각통합(Ayres Sensory $Integration^{(R)}$) 그룹 놀이 활동이 저소득층 ADHD 아동의 감각처리능력, 사회적 기술능력과 자아존중감에 미치는 효과에 대해 알아보았다. 연구방법 : 연구대상은 G시 교육복지학교 3개교의 2학년과 3학년 저소득층 ADHD 아동으로 실험군 10명과 대조군 10명이다. 평가도구에서 감각처리능력은 단축감각프로파일(SSP)과, 사회적 기술능력은 사회적 기술 평정 척도(SSRS)와 자아존중감은 Rosenberg의 자아 존중감 척도를 사용하였다. 중재 방법은 실험군은 Ayres의 감각통합 그룹 놀이 활동을 6주간 주 2회(총 12회), 매 50분씩 실시하였으며, 대조군은 아무런 중재를 하지 않았다. 분석방법은 SPSS 20.0을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 실험군과 대조군의 중재효과차이를 분석하기 위해 ANCOVA를 사용하였다. 모든 통계분석의 유의수준 ${\alpha}$는 .05로 설정하였다. 결과 : Ayres의 감각통합 그룹 놀이 활동을 적용한 결과는 사회적 기술척도(F=4.443, p=.05)와 하위영역인 협동(F=5.328, p=.035), 자아존중감 (F=5.358, p=.033)에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 결론 : Ayres의 감각통합 그룹 놀이 활동은 저소득층 ADHD 아동의 사회적 기술척도와 하위영역인 협동, 자아존중감 향상에 효과가 있었다. 본 연구는 국내에서 감각통합중재가 일반학교에서 적용될 수 있다는 근거와 기초자료를 제공한다.

치과위생사의 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (A Study on Factors Affecting Job Satisfaction of Dental Hygienist)

  • 본 연구는 치과위생사의 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위하여 시행된 조사연구이다. 부산 경남 지역의 치과의료기관에 근무하는 224명의 치과위생사를 대상으로 조사하였다. 수집된 자료를 SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) Ver.19.0으로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 연구대상자의 의사소통능력은 $3.32{\pm}0.49$점, 대인관계능력은 $3.45{\pm}0.48$점, 직무만족도는 $3.19{\pm}0.44$점으로 나타났다. 일반적 특성에 따른 의사소통능력은 기혼이 미혼보다 높았고, 임상경력이 많을수록 높았다. 일반적 특성에 따른 대인관계능력은 학력이 높을수록, 임금이 많을수록, 경영 및 직원관리 담당자가 높게 나타났다. 일반적 특성에 따른 직무만족도는 경영 및 직원관리 담당자가 높게 나타났다. 연구대상자의 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인 파악하기 위해 다중회귀 분석한 결과 임상경력이 낮을수록, 의사소통능력과 대인관계능력이 높을수록 직무만족도가 높게 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 치과위생사의 직무만족도를 높이기 위해 적절한 보상체계가 이루어져야 하며, 의사소통능력과 대인관계능력을 향상시켜야 할 것이다.

협동기술 훈련이 초등학생의 과학 학습에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Cooperative Skill Training on Elementary School Students생 Learning in Science)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of cooperative skill training on elementary school students' science achievement and self-esteem. Three different groups were used in this study. For the two treatment groups, cooperative loaming strategies were used and the one control group, traditional instruction was used. One of the treatment group was trained cooperative skills before the instruction. A total of 120 children sampled from 5th graders of a elementary school. All groups were taught about the change of the weather and structure of the plants. After the instruction a researcher made science achievement test and questionnaire of self-esteem were administered. The data analysis consisted of a 3(instructional strategies)×3(learning ability level) ANCOVA on the score of the achievement and self-esteem. The ANCOVA results revealed that there were significant main effect in the scores of achievement and also significant interaction effect between the instructional strategies and learning ability. The performance of high-level students in two treatment groups was higher than that of students in the control group, but the performance of high-level students with cooperative skill training was not higher than that of students without cooperative skill training. However, the performance of medium and low-level students with cooperative skill training was higher than that of students without cooperative skill training. The significant main effect was also found in the self-esteem but there were no significant interactions between the instructional strategies and learning ability. The academic self and social self of students with cooperative skill training was higher than that of students without cooperative skill training.

2세 남아의 공격적 행동에 대한 놀이치료 사례 (A Case Study of Play Therapy for Aggressive 2 Years Old Boy)

  • This case study was designed to test the effect of eclectic play therapy with parent's counseling and education programs for aggressive 2 years old boy. It was found that the boy had some important problems about emotion control ability, social problem-solving skill, and basic daily living practices adding to aggressive behavior. After the treatment of 10 sessions which taken once in a week, he showed much improved ability about emotion control, social problem-solving skill and basic daily living practices, and didn't show any more aggressive behavior without proper reason. 그룹게임이 유아의 친사회적 사고 및 사회적 능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Group Games on Young Children's Prosocial Thinking and Social Ability)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the group games on children's prosocial thinking and social ability. The subjects of this study were 30 four-five years old boys and' girls in S daycare center in Iksan of Jeonbuk province. Children in this study were divided into two groups. In order to measure children's pro social thinking. 'Skill Situation Measure' developed by McGinnis & Goldstein(l990) was used. In order to measure children's social ability, 'Preschool Socio-affective Profile(PSP)' developed by La Freniere. Dumas, Capuano & Dubeau(1992) was used. The tools were applied in two groups in pre-test, and the experimental group was given a total of 20 sessions (twice a week. for 10 weeks). The results of the study were as follows: 1. The experimental group children with group games showed a significant improvement in their prosocial thinking. 2. The experimental group children with group games showed a significant improvement in their social ability.

저소득층 아동의 사회성증진을 위한 집단상담 프로그램 효과 연구 (Effectiveness of the Group-Counseling Program to Improve Social Ability in the Children from Low-Income Families)

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of a group-counseling program to improve children's social ability. For this study, six children were selected for an experimental group and another six for a control group. They were tested using the Social Skill Rating System for Preschool level. In addition to a quantitative analysis, a qualitative analysis was conducted to examine group processes and changes of each child. The experimental group participated in a socio-drama group art therapy, and game play therapy whereas the control group did not receive any treatment. In order to examine the impact of the intervention, ore-program tests and post-program tests were conducted. The results were as follows: First, children's social ability was improved. There was a significant difference in social ability between the experimental and the control group. Second the group counseling program was proved to be effective. This program was primarily designed for children from low-income families.

  • 본 연구는 증가하는 초등학생의 반사회적 행동을 줄이고, 건강하고 행복한 삶을 살 수 있도록, 의사결정 및 문제해결 능력 함양의 이론적 기초를 탐색하고, 효과적인 실천적 방안을 모색하는 데 있다. 의사결정 및 문제 해결 능력은 교육의 중요한 목표로서 취급되어 왔으나 인지적 중심교육과 가치 규범 교육에 치중되거나 교실수업에 국한된 교육이 이루어져서 그 효과성이 문제되었다. 이에 본 연구는 정서지능 및 사회정서 학습을 이론적 기초로 하여, 의사결정에서의 정서의 인식과 조절의 중요성을 고려하며 실제 생활문제 해결을 위한 문제해결전략을 활용한 교육 방안을 제시하였다. 정서의 문화 특수적 성격을 고려하여 동양심리학과의 연계를 모색하여 우리 문화에 적합한 교육 방안이 되도록 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 도덕과 교육과정에 통합하여 교육하여 독자적 프로그램이 갖는 단기성, 편협성을 극복하고자 하는 한편, 현행 학교교육에서 시행하는 의사결정교육의 문제점을 보완하여, 교육적 효과를 높이고자 하였다.

  • 본 연구는 융합수업 운영이 사회맞춤형 교육과정 간호학생의 자기주도적 학습능력, 문제해결능력, 전공만족도 및 취업률에 미치는 효과를 확인하기 위한 단일군 전후 비교연구로, C대학의 교육과정을 수강한 간호학과 졸업 학생 79명을 대상으로 하였다. 융합수업 적용 전보다 적용 후 자기주도적 학습능력, 문제해결능력 및 전공만족도는 향상되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 지역사회 요구에 맞는 간호대학 내 다양한 교육과정을 개설 운영하여 학생들에게 다양한 기회를 제공하고, 그 효과를 극대화하기 위해 학습자 스스로 문제를 해결하고 답안을 찾을 수 있는 능력을 함양시키는 것과 대학 내 다양한 컨텐츠를 개발하여 효율적으로 운영하도록 하는 것이 필요하다.
