Social services are divided into care services and other support services for the elderly, children and the disabled. These social services are the subject of great policy interest in that they can create two effects at the same time: increase in labor demand for service providers and increase the possibility of long-term accumulation of human capital for service recipients. Therefore, this study aims to confirm the hypothesis according to whether the use of social services affects family relationships and the effects of social service users' psychological adaptation on marital and parent-child relationships even when other related variables are controlled. The final result of this thesis is a regression analysis to find out the effect of psychological adaptation on the family relationship, spouse relationship, and relationship with children of subjects who have experience using social services. -.661, p=0.001), the higher the psychological adaptation, the higher the spouse satisfaction (β=.465, p=0.001) and relationship satisfaction with children (β=.360, p=0.001). In other words, it was found that the more depressed the psychologically, the more negative the relationship with spouse and children.
This study aimed to examine the associations between family economic status, social relationships, and the career identity of adolescents. The study assessed the mediating effects of social relationships on the relationship between economic status and the career identity of adolescents, utilizing data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS). The result indicated that family economic status was related to the quality of the social relationships that significantly affected the career identity of adolescents. These findings suggested that the inequality in career development of adolescents due to family economic status could be reduced by promoting positive social relationships. Convergent interventions that help adolescents to build positive social relationships would be necessary to improve the career outcomes of those from low-income families.
This study explores how South Korean citizens evaluate corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices based on communal and exchange relationships. Specifically, it examines whether their evaluations of the two types of relationships are related to their supportive opinions, such as positive attitudes toward corporations and behavioral intentions to purchase products. The findings show that the communal relationship between an energy corporation and its local residents is more related to their supportive opinions than exchange relationship. That is, a communal relationship tends to generate more positive business outcomes than an exchange relationship. This study concludes that corporations should prepare for useful community outreach and CSR programs for their local community. Practitioners need to focus on building communal relationships with community members through their programs.
This study examined the effects of children's shyness and relationships with their teacher in regards to social withdrawal. Two questionnaires were conducted with mothers and teachers of 242 three to five-year-olds attending a childcare center in Sejong city. SPSS 18.0 was used to implement descriptive analyses and hierarchical regression analyses. The results indicated that main effects of lack of sociability and assertiveness as well as interaction effects between lack of assertiveness and intimate relationship on social withdraw were found when the childteacher relationship was intimate. The results suggested that intimate child-teacher relationships adjusted to lack of assertiveness in the child. Meanwhile, interaction effects between lack of sociability and lack of assertiveness and between self-consciousness and child-teacher conflictual relationship were found in child-teacher conflictual relationships. The results indicated that the influence on alleviating social withdrawal behavior of children with a high level of shyness was limited despite establishing a close relationship with a teacher. However, the social withdrawal behavior of children became more intense if they were in a conflict relationship with a teacher; this tendency was also shown more significantly in shier children. This suggests that children's unamicable relationship with a teacher may function as a risk factor to cause social withdrawal behavior. Therefore, it is important that a teacher has the capability to understand the individual characteristics of children, particularly shyness, and encourage their sociability of children through positive relationships.

Social network analysis is a graphical technique to search the relationships and characteristics of nodes (people, companies, and organizations) and an important node for positioning a visualized social network figure; however, it is difficult to characterize nodes in a social network figure. Therefore, their relationships and characteristics could be presented through an application of correspondence analysis to an affiliation matrix that is a type of similarity matrix between nodes. In this study, we provide the relationships and characteristics around authors and keywords in the JKSS(Journal of the Korean Statistical Society) of the Korean Statistical Society through the use of social network analysis and correspondence analysis.

Methods: The analysis was based on 16,958 immigrants who participated in the National Survey of Multicultural Family 2015 in Korea. Multivariate-adjusted odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals for the relationships among social discrimination, subjective health, and personal satisfaction were examined with multivariable logistic regression. Results: There were differences in experience of social discrimination, subjective health status, and personal satisfaction according to the country of origin. Groups without the experience of social discrimination had better subjective health and personal satisfaction than the other groups. The group of high coping showed higher parental care, lower parental overprotection and higher perceived social support than low one. Findings from this study linking retrospective accounts of early parental relationships to current working models concerning the nature of supportive relationships are consistent with attachment theory that individual who, as children, experienced relationships with their parents that were independent-encourage. affectionate, and not overprotective developed working models of others as available to provide social support. The purpose of this study was to investigate institutionalized adolescents'perception of meaningful persons and to analyze the features of their interpersonal relationships. 9 middle school students of 3 child welfare facilities were observed and participated in depth-interviews. Results indicate that there is a difference in adolescents'family image according to their experience before institutionalization. They want care-givers of institution to offer more emotional support to them. And they perceive much social support from other adolescents who're living with them. But, the findings suggest that their peer relationships have some limitations because of institutionalization itself and various restriction on their behaviors. Lastly, they want more intimate relationship with supporters in addition to financial sponsorship. In conclusion, institutionalized adolescents'interpersonal relationships are related closely to the environmental properties. Therefore, concerns should be directed toward improving the quality of social and psychological environment of institutions. And various programs should be provided to support institutionalized adolescents'social development.
