With the increasing trend of popularity of websites and social networking sites, it is quite evident that companies need to take cautionary measures in protecting the reputations with respect to company and brands. In this process, every company should indulge in enhancing their company and brand image through websites and social networking sites that fortify the bonding nature among them. The always-on nature of websites and social networking sites has contributed to their phenomenal marketing power and altered the balance of power between consumers and firms. Websites and social networks are used by hundreds of millions of people to communicate about a huge range of topics, including personal interests, activities, social events and even public issues. The paper explores a case study of the Ritz-Carlton hotel for their marketing strategy and organizational use of their website and social media in communicating with their customers. Even for the normal luxury traveler who would not have previously used the Internet to research a hotel or make a reservation, ritzcarlton.com is making it possible for them to do so in a sense of the luxury and typical Ritz-Carlton style. It seems to be a staple of the company for years to come.

Purpose: This paper evaluates which characteristics of marketing communication content distributed on social networks impact electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM). Research design, data, and methodology: Quantitative research was carried out on 637 Vietnamese people aged from 18, who were exposed to marketing communication programs of fashion brands. Preliminary data were analyzed by the reliability of the scale, multivariate regression analysis, and analysis of variance. Results: The research findings have identified the four characteristics of social media content that positively impact e-WOM, including entertainment, interaction, trendiness, and customization. Participants aged 30 and under have a higher appreciation for media content and e-WOM than those from 31 and over. Conclusion: To promote e-WOM, marketing communication content distributed on social networks should focus on the following characteristics: (1) The entertainment of marketing communication content should involve positive emotions, fun, and enjoyment; (2) With interactive content, focus should be placed on discussion and exchange content, content that encourages sharing, and two-way interactive content; (3) For trending marketing communication content, marketers consider communicating brand-related latest information, up-to-date information, and hot discussion topics; and (4) When creating customized content, brands should be interesting, customized (information, product, price), and unique.
This research investigates how loneliness affects people's preferences for products that appear in social media ads. Four studies examine the impact of loneliness that is both measured in an established scale and situationally induced via a recall task. Individuals who experience higher levels of loneliness evaluate the same products more highly when they are advertised in a social (i.e., Instagram) compared to non-social (i.e., brand website) media platform. This effect occurs because loneliness increases people's attention to others' social evaluation of a product, and social media ads provide this information via social cues such as "likes" embedded in the ads. When the social cues are absent, the advantage of advertising on social compared to non-social media for people with high (vs. low) loneliness disappears. The findings suggest that social media ads have a unique appeal for individuals experiencing loneliness and highlight the role of social cues in shaping product evaluations.

The purpose of this study was to look into the marketing strategies of social commerce companies by analyzing the relationships among the environment, strategy and performance in social commerce. For that, the environment condition and components of marketing strategy were derived based on the marketing mix by analyzing the related contents published in 3,783 articles on newspapers dated from April 2010 to March 2013. UV(Unique Visitor) and PV(Page View) for each social commerce site were used as surrogates for performance. The results of study revealed the relationship of the marketing strategies to the changes in environment conditions towards negative conditions such as the spread of buyer anxiety. In the "strategy-performance" relations, the product element and external sales promotion element had high correlation with the performance. Finally, a difference was found in the marketing strategies of social commerce companies. High correlation was found in all aspects between the UV and PV marketing elements in the case of Coupang, while the correlation with the UV was low and the environment also showed relatively low correlation level in the case of WEmakePRICE. Thus, this study is considered to provide useful basis for the social commerce companies to map out and implement the marketing strategies, and is significant in that it applied the marketing mix to the special market environment such as social marketing.

The study aimed to investigate the impact of social networks safety (SNS) on the marketing information quality (MIQ) during the COVID-19 pandemic in Saudi Arabia. The study examines the statistical differences in social networks safety SNS and marketing information quality MIQ according to the demographics such as age, sex, income, and education. For this study purpose, information security and privacy are two components of social networks safety. The research materials are website resources, regular books, journals, and articles. The population includes all Saudi users of social networks. The figures show that active users of the social network reached 25 Million in 2020. The snowball method was used and sample size is 500 respondents and the questionnaire is the tool for the data collection. The Structural Equation Modelling SEM technique is used. Convergent Validity, Discriminate Validity, and Multicollinearity are the main assumptions of structural equation modeling SEM. The findings show the high positive impact of SNS networks safety on MIQ and the statistical differences in such variables refer to education. Finally, the study presents a set of future suggestions to enhance the safety of social networks in Saudi Arabia.

This study examines the relationship between social media advertisement and customer interest in the context of luxury brands. Further, this study investigates the effective ways to utilize visual types (pictorial advertisement and video advertisement) and contents types (website link and hash-tag) in social media advertising by proposing a time-series model to estimate the long-term effect of social media advertising on social search. We find that the pictorial advertisements are more effective than video advertisements, which provides a different result from previous existing research. In addition, advertisements using hashtags are more effective than web links due to efficiency of the search feature. Finally, since the number of brand fans also have a positive effect on advertising interest, it is essential to utilize social media advertising for the enhancement of customers' interests. Confirming that the effectiveness of social media advertising varies depending on how the visual contents and text are presented, this research can help marketing managers to assess predicted outcomes of using various methods of social media advertising.

This study first investigates relationships among fashion consumer's positive emotion toward social value seeking activities (SVSA), enterprise image (EI), enterprise-perceived quality (EPQ), and purchase intention. Additionally, it demonstrates if the confirmed relationships are different in similar SVSA between social enterprise and cause-related marketing (CRM). An online experiment using a 2 (the implementation organization of social values: social enterprise vs CRM) ${\times}2$ (SVSA: support of vulnerable group vs environmental protection) factorial design was conducted to test the established hypotheses. Participants were randomly assigned to one of four conditions, and the collected data were analyzed using a partial least squares structure equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and partial least squares multi-group analysis (PLS-MGA). The results revealed that positive emotion toward SVSA directly influenced EI and purchase intention. EI and EPQ were identified as sequential mediators linking positive emotion toward SVSA and purchase intention. A finding for similarity in consumer response paths between social enterprises and CRM highlights that social enterprises need to develop a marketing strategy distinguished from CRM.

Methods: A study was conducted on 265 people, aged 20 to 64 years, who lived in Seoul, Gyeonggi area and regularly used one or more of the social media platforms, Naver Band, Facebook, Instagram, KakaoStory, Twitter, or YouTube more than once a day. A 27-question questionnaire survey of approximately 10 minutes was conducted, and the collected data was statistically analyzed using the PASW program, with the significane level set to 0.05. Results: "Introduction of acquaintances" was the most common route to visit the dentist. Regarding the use of social media platforms based on age group, 'Instagram' had the highest frequency among people belonging to the age groups of 20 to 29 years and 30 to 39 years; 'YouTube' had the highest frequency among those aged 40 to 49 years; and 'Naver Band' had the highest frequency among those aged 50 to 65 years. Conclusion: The most frequently used social media by consumers according to age included Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. However, social media was found to have no significant impact on the choice of dental institutions, as the number of people who visited the dentist through "Introduction of acquaintances" was the highest, and "Introduction of acquaintances" did not have experience accessing the dentist site after dental marketing. If this study could provide customized marketing information for each age group through social media, it is expected that the marketing effect of dental institutions through social media would be maximized in the future.
