The purpose of this study is to evaluate the economic and social impact of the SEP in which the elderly participate by using the blended return on investment (BROI), economic return on investment (EROI), and social return on investment (SROI) research methods. And the sustainable conditions of SEP were confirmed. This study was conducted with one market-type SEP approved by the Korea Elderly Labor Force Development Institute (KLFDI), one preliminary social enterprise approved by Changwon City Hall, and one market-type SEP operated by a social welfare center for the elderly. As a result of the study, it was found that EROI, SROI, and BROI were the highest in the SEP of preliminary social enterprises operated by subsidies in Changwon.However, the difference between EROI and SROI was greatest in the market-type SEP operated by the elderly social welfare center. There was a big difference between economic and social impacts. The social influence of the elderly was evaluated to be higher than the income of the elderly.

The objectives of the study are to analyze the impacts of rural road project on the social and economic activities of community people, offer basic data to perform evaluation of the project, and suggest future directions of the project. Research methodology adopted is a questionnaire method. There were interviewed 281 adult residents selected from 34 villages in Yeongdong-gun(mountainous), Miryang-si(middle), and Gochang-gun(plain). Results of the study are as follows: 1) Increase of income and land prices in mountainous and middle regions by the rural road project is higher than in plain; 2) Most inconvenient road expressed by the interviewee is the one linking farm and residence and 3) The problems of rural roads derived are narrowness, unpavement and partial pavement, unreliable maintenance, and long construction time. In order to meet the community needs on rural roads, it may be necessary that community people participate in the process of the project. And it is desirable to put priority on expanding and paving existing roads rather than constructing new one.

This study analyzes the impacts of household work participation and shared activities between couples on marital relationship and depression among retired men and women with retired husbands. To investigate this, a survey of 367 married people is conducted on retired men and women with retired husbands. The influencing factors on the marital relationship of retired men are found to be couples' shared activities, gender role attitudes, and subjective health status. The marital relationship of women with retired husbands is influenced by shared activities by couples, the division of domestic labor, and gender role attitudes. The factors affecting retired men's depression are shared activities by couples, perceived health status, type of jobs before retirement, and age. Women's depression is related to household income, shared activities by couples, husbands' jobs before retirement, subjective health status, and division of household labor.

Purpose - This paper studies the welfare impacts of behavior-based price discrimination (BBPD) when firms are asymmetric in quality improvement costs. Design/methodology/approach - To this end, we consider a differentiated duopoly model with an inherited market share, where firms first make quality decisions and then compete in prices according to the pricing scheme, namely, uniform pricing or BBPD. Findings - We show that BBPD increases social welfare relative to uniform pricing if the firms' cost gap is large enough. This is because BBPD induces more consumers to buy a high-quality product than under uniform pricing, and because a low-cost firm's profit loss from BBPD decreases as the cost difference increases. Research implications or Originality - Our analysis offers policy implications for markets where BBPD raises antitrust concerns, and quality competition prevails.

Objectives: This study examined the use of health impact assessment (HIA) as a tool for intersectoral collaboration using the case of an HIA project conducted in Gwang Myeong City, Korea. Methods: A typical procedure for rapid HIA was used. In the screening step, the Aegi-Neung Waterside Park Plan was chosen as the target of the HIA. In the scoping step, the specific methods and tools to assess potential health impacts were chosen. A participatory workshop was held in the assessment step. Various interest groups, including the Department of Parks and Greenspace, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Environment and Cleansing, civil societies, and residents, discussed previously reviewed literature on the potential health impacts of the Aegi-Neung Waterside Park Plan. Results: Potential health impacts and inequality issues were elicited from the workshop, and measures to maximize positive health impacts and minimize negative health impacts were recommended. The priorities among the recommendations were decided by voting. A report on the HIA was submitted to the Department of Parks and Greenspace for their consideration. Conclusions: Although this study examined only one case, it shows the potential usefulness of HIA as a tool for enhancing intersectoral collaboration. Some strategies to formally implement HIA are discussed.

본 연구는 모바일 쇼트 클립 어플리케이션의 수용에 관한 연구로서, UTAUT모델과 플로우(Flow)이론을 기반으로 성과기대, 노력기대, 사회적 영향, 결정적 다수, 주의집중, 즐거움, 시간왜곡 등의 변인이 쇼트 클립 이용 만족과 지속사용 여부에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구는 중국인 이용자를 대상으로 온라인 조사를 통하여 이루어졌으며, 최종 263명의 유효 응답을 바탕으로 구조방정식모형을 제시하고 분석하였다. 연구결과로는 성과기대, 즐거움, 시간왜곡은 사용만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났으며, 결정적 다수에 대한 지각 또한 사회적 영향에 통계적으로 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 지속사용여부에 관련하여서는 기술수용관련 변인 중 사회적 영향이 지속사용 여부에 긍정적인 영향을 주고 있었고, 플로우 이론에 도출 된 변인 중 시간왜곡은 지속적 사용의도에 부정적이면서 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다.

Open access is a paradigm whereby the electronic versions of scholarly publications are made freely accessible without any restrictions. It is actively promoted globally and is also promoted domestically in accordance with this global trend. However, there is a growing need to evaluate existing activities and to seek policies for the steady spread of open access. This study examines the necessity of switching to a national repository from existing institutional repositories through policy direction analysis of open repositories. We examined domestic open access policies by analysing various overseas cases and the situation in South Korea. Finally, we determined the validity of investment in a national repository by analysing its social and economic impacts using the modified Solow-Swan model. The main parameters for applying the modified Solow-Swan model were estimated, and the domestic research and development expenditure was predicted via a regression method. Then, we applied a range of rate of returns to research and development (10% to 50%) to various scenarios and examined the effects of increasing accessibility and efficiency by 1% to 10%. We found that the implementation of a national open access repository in South Korea would have a substantial impact (to the tune of 147 billion won), without considering the potential costs of such a repository. Based on the estimates of the social and economic impact of a national repository, the implementation of a national open access repository in South Korea is economically viable. Besides having beneficial social and economic impacts, a national repository is expected to enhance awareness of open access among Korean researchers and institutions.

Recently, many companies have launched a new business model related to the mobile gift service in order to achieve or sustain a competitive advantage in the fast-growing mobile market. Due to the well combination of mobile technology advantages and offline gift-giving motivations, a mobile gift service has been proliferating over recent years. Although the motivation of mobile gift purchasing behavior can be different from that of offline gift purchasing behavior, there is still a lack of research on what factors are influencing and how they are impacting mobile gift purchasing behavior under diverse gift-giving settings. Therefore, based on both exchange and motivation theories as well as literature review, this study identified three influencing factors-economic (immediate rewards, convenience), social (friendship needs, reputation), and personal (enjoyment, self-satisfaction) benefits-and validated their impacts on intention to repurchase a mobile gift. Moreover, the moderating roles of intimacy and gift price in the relationships between benefits and mobile gift repurchasing intention were examined. The results provide many implications for marketing managers on how to enhance consumers' intention to repurchase, which in turn leads to sales and increased profit.

본 연구는 게임 이용자의 감정욕구(접근적/회피적)와 사회연결망 속에서 생성되는 사회규범(주관적/기술적 규범)에 대한 인식에 주목하면서, 이들이 게임에 대한 태도(유용적/쾌락적)와 게임 몰입에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 위계적 다중회귀분석을 활용한 분석 결과, 게임 이용자의 게임에 대한 유용적 태도에 미치는 영향은 접근적 감정욕구와 주관적 규범이었으며, 게임에 대한 쾌락적 태도에 미치는 영향은 접근적 감정욕구, 회피적 감정욕구, 주관적 규범이었다. 또한 게임에 대한 몰입 정도를 예측함에 있어서는 게임 이용자의 회피적 감정욕구, 주관적 규범, 게임에 대한 유용적 태도, 쾌락적 태도가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다.
