Korea huts been dramatically changed during the last century in many aspect of society, with the introduction of western culture in the beginning of 20th century. This study aims at understanding the changes in our traditional culture shown by costume as well as examining the aspects of the changes of traditional clothing according to age, by comparing the differences of our traditional dress Hanbok between ear1y and the late of the 20th century. Analysis of photographs showing Hanbok of both ages was used. 155 photographs of people wearing traditional Hanbok in the beginning of the 20th century were collected from the photo collection books portraying various living conditions of common people at that time. 748 Photographs of Hanbok worm today were obtained by taking pictures of various occasions like wedding ceremonies in 5 big cities during 1997. The process of analysis consists of 3 stages: setting standards, sorting, and grouping by positioning. The results showed that traditional Hanbok room in the early 20th century has maintained its basic silhouette and design during the century, but the methods of color coordination, ornamentation, construction have underdone many changes in detail. Consequently, traditional frame exits, but actually there are many variations of tradition produced by individual tastes and fashion trend. These changes show that continuing influx of the western culture which has made enormous social changes in Korea had an influence even on Hanbok.
The third sex implying a mismatch between sex and gender has been regarded as an extreme socio-cultural violation. In its earlier version, such a violation was expressed by cross-dressing; Women's cross-dressing was thought to invoke eroticism, while men's cross-dressing was considered comic or delinquent. However, as feminism developed more with the homosexual identity expressed openly, the third sex began to be visual. Thus, in 1990's, some homosexual monies began to develop to be pluralized enough to suggest the third sex and thereby, change the negative sex into a positive one. In this study, such a pluralization is discussed in terms of invisibility, dichotomy and androgyny. The cross-dressing movies show females in male attire or males in female attire to reflect the third sex. The cross-dressing may be divided into men's playful cross-dressing, women's political cross-dressing and homosexuals'cross-dressing or 'drag'. Gender identity is not an attribute fixed by some physical characteristics, but it tends to be changed or expanded by some social factors over time. In short, it may be a flexible, plural, individual and self-introspective attribute. Movies present diverse types of gender identities, and in particular, the movie costumes specify them. In other words, the costumes may be model means expressing the gender identities, and the gender identities shown in the movies tend to be imitated, re-created or assumed by the audience.
The purposes of this study were 1) to identify the effects of psychological characteristics and peer acceptance on female adolescents'clothing behaviors(clothing attitudes and preference for up-to-date style), and 2) to determine the differences in psychological characteristics and clothing behaviors among subject groups classified by sociometric status. The questionnaires dealing with public/private self-consciousness, adolescent egocentrism, self-efficacy and clothing behaviors were adapted from precious studies. Peer acceptance was measured using Coie and Dodge(1983) method. The data were collected from 485 middle and high school girls living in Seoul, Korea. From the results of multiple regression of psychological characteristics and peer acceptance on clothing behaviors, clothing sexual attractiveness, clothing exhibition, and clothing importance were found to be influenced by public self-consciousness, adolescent egocentrism and peer acceptance. Fashion leadership and psychological dependence were influenced by egocentrism and self-efficacy. Preference for up-to-date style was influenced by egocentrism, public self-consciousness and self-efficacy. One-way ANOVA was used for analyzing the differences in research variables among subject groups classified by sociometric status. From the reset of middle school girls it was revealed that ignored group showed the highest score in clothing importance, whereas both popular group and rejected group showed the lowest score in social self-efficacy. In high school girls, controversial group showed the highest scores in adolescent egocentrism, fashion leadership, and preference for up-to-date style.
This study examined the potential mediating mechanisms underlying the association between peer victimization and school adjustment. 521 children in the fifth and sixth grades were recruited from primary schools in Korea. Peer nomination and self-reports were used to measure peer victimization, cognitive representations, and school avoidance. Academic achievement records were obtained from official school records. The findings indicated that peer victimization contributed to school avoidance and academic achievement by different pathways. The association between peer victimization and school avoidance was indirectly mediated by perceptions of the self and peers. In contrast, peer victimization was directly associated with academic achievement.

This study researched the interrelation between the development of the middle school student\` personality and their residential environments on 406 middle school students. The purpose of this research were to suggest a better residential environment as a desirable educational condition for making juveniles\` sound self-realization. The results of this research were as follows. 1. According to the their parents\` social status on middle school students\` personality the students. especially their parents had a service and technical expert official job of a better academic career showed an excellent score in personality. 2. According to the relation between the residential environment on their personality. it was said that the students. (1) who had their own study room at their own house. (2) who had a better house equipment and relatively a safety from fire danger. (3) who were living at the house which had been equipped a ventilation and sound isolation. were higher in the Personality score than any other groups. 3. According to the neighborhood and their personality the students who were living in some comfortable environments such as the divided collect of trash and the neighborhood natural surroundings skewed a high score in personality.

The purpose of this study is to investigation the eating habits and health-related behaviors of adolescent students. 700 students are randomly selected in 6 high schools in Chunchon area. The most students take three meals a day. but most of girl students take less two meals a day or often go without a meal. There are the tendency that boy-students are more satisfied with their meal habits, but they have the health problems caused by irregular meals. There are more boy-students have the regularity of meal habits than girl students. and the former have the more tendency of going without a meal than the later which shows that girl-students have to give more attention to their health management. Their sleeping hours are not enough to recover the tiredness. The higher grads they are in the less time they have to take a rest. The tenth grads students are shown to feel the most serious stress. but have few opportunities to take a medical examination, which means that we have insufficiency of health education as a precautionary measures. Accordingly, it is important that teachers have to provide students with education of good meal habit which is fit to their real life. In modern times, as there are the tendency that more women participate in the social activity. we will reinforce the education that the boy-students may take active part in the health management without distinction of the roles between boy and girls-students.

The purpose of this study is to understand middle school students’behavior of purchasing school things at rural area and to provide basic data which is necessary for consumer education to help them with more reasonable purchasing behavior. The results of this study were as follows; 1) The level of purchasing behavior for the school things of middle school students at rural area is 3.15 out of perfect Score 5, and shows medium level. Middle school students’behavior of purchasing school things at rural area showed significant difference in social demographic variables such as sex, grade and keeping a record money spending. 2) 75.5% of middle school student’s consuming experiences was show to be on a midium. According to the results of this study, it was showed the more consuming experience they had, the more reasonable purchasing behavior they did. There was significant positive correlation between consuming experiences and behavior of purchasing school things. 3) Middle school students at rural area were highly realizing the necessity for consuming education both at home(91%) and at school(93.9%). Also, there was a significant positive correlation between the necessity for consumer education and behavior of purchasing school things.
This work studies the variability of flatfish sales revenue. The theoretical analysis draws functions for equilibrium price and quantity using expectation hypotheses. The functions include unpredictable phenomenon with dummy variable and GARCH. The equilibrium function, using adaptive expectation hypothesis, contains the independent variables of supply and demand, while the equilibrium function, embodying rational expectation hypothesis, includes only the independent variables of supply side, because the demand side disappears by the information extraction process theoretically, if economic subjects build the expectation rational. The empirical analysis shows: the variability of flatfish production has a spillover effect on the variability of revenue with the adaptive expectation hypothesis. In the case when the model has a rational expectation hypothesis, the variability of flatfish production has a spillover effect on the revenue (the mean equation of GARCH model). This study indicates that there is the variability in flatfish production and sales revenue, and the spillover effect between them. The result can help to build of the rational system for the fishery income stability.
The purpose of the present study was to identify the effects of communicator, type of clothing and subject's age on informational influence in clothing conformity. The sample consisted of 205 subjects assigned to two groups (female college students in their early twenties and housewives in their late thirties living in kyongju). In this study the research design consisted of a 3(communicator)×2(subject's age)×2(type of clothing) factorial design. The stimuli consisted of 10 color photographs (6 one-piece dresses and 4 jeans in current fashion) In the first step, subjects were asked to arrange stimuli in the order of greatest fashionability. In the second step, subjects were exposed to experimental manipulation which consisted of slides of various clothing styles and an essay concerning a forecast on fashion trends. The communicator in the essay was described as a designer, a college student, or a housewife. In the third step, in addition to other questions subjects were asked to indicated their degree of agreement with the essay. The data were analyzed by ANOVA, X2 and t-test. The results were: 1. Informational influence on clothing conformity varied by communicator, type of clothing, and subject's age. Subjects were most conforming when the communicator was described as a designer and when the clothing style was a one-piece dress. 2. Informational influence results revealed that housewives were more conforming than the female college students in the jean style.
The purposes of this study are to define the family life events as a input factor of system model and to understand structural characteristics of the family life events in the modern multilateral society have and orientation of the management system leads a satisfactory life. This study attempted through the relation of cause and effect among the components of management system by Deacon & Firebaugh systems theory. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) As for the influence of family life events on the orientation of home management behavior the influential family life event on overall the orientation of home management behavior was social problem of family members($\beta$= -128). 2)Family life events which have influence on the family life satisfaction were financial problem and trouble with husband members problems demand for housework and everyday affairs. 3) The subdivison of home management behavior which influenced on the overall family life satisfaction were communication and decision originality the use of resources and the flexibility of plan. 4) Results of path analysis revealed that relation of cause and effect out of family life events resources the patterns of home management behavior and family life satisfaction the family life events made the family life satisfaction higher because they had negative effect on the family life satisfaction directly but changed total effect into positive one by family management behavior.
