Despite being a key concept of International Relations theory, there is no consensus about what the national interest is. It is almost impossible for political leaders of democratic states to make a crucial decision in foreign policies when considering only the national interest without public support. Rather, we are unable to imagine the national interest without public opinion. In general, international crises galvanize people who held different opinions and unify social cleavages, such as secular-religious identities, into a nation that acts in its national interest. The author proposes a method to operationalize the key concept and describes a relationship between the national interest and religious identities in a democratic state. The selected case is the state of Israel. It is believed that Israel is a good example to think about the association between foreign affairs and political attitudes since it is characterized as a socio-religious divided society and has often waged war against Arab military forces.

Securing food safety, natural and social environmental protection, and activation of rural communities are some of challenging tasks for the 21st century. National consensus on agriculture as a basic and public industry would be needed to solve these challenging tasks. Agricultural policy and extension education should be focused on encouraging farmers to achieve better production and management by developing their motivation and ability. Systematic and organizational efforts to make a better environment for farming and farm management should be the major target of agricultural policy and extension services in the future. To meet changing needs of farmer, agricultural extension services should change programs, functions, information sources, and methods of delivery to adopt experiential learning for farmers. Functions for consultation, suggestion and organization should be extended and advisory services for farmers should be emphasized by providing extension education.

This study is designed to provide a facilitation program of the railroad tourist business that the bicycle is connected with the railroad. The sustainable growth will be achieved thorough the green growth being able to coexist with environment. To deal with the transportation problems -the environmental pollution caused by a large number of cars and the energy depletion, the traffic congestion- in our society is the prerequisites for the green growth. There is the need focusing on the expansion of the green network and the policy implementation of utilizing the bicycle, the formulation of the social consensus for environmental preservation. This provides the opportunity that we create the customer values and reinforce the firm's competitiveness. This study is to propose the plan for accelerating the tourism business connected to the bicycle, and to contribute to the government policy, to boost the green image of the railroad. Approaching in the strategic way to increase the customer's value and environmental preservation, this study will contribute to providing high quality customer service for both of the business performance and the customer satisfaction.

Although many local governments are supporting the environment-friendly regional agriculture(hereafter EFRA), the EFRA is not wildly extended since the marketing and consumption of the environment-friendly agricultural products are still limited. This study aims at finding out the new development source of Korean agriculture and strategies for establishing regional agriculture. For these purposes, Sunchon-si cases of EFAP development are introduced and the functions and roles of bodies in charge of regional agriculture are looked over. In order to establish the EFRA, production, processing and consumption needs to be intimately linked all together. As preconditions for developing the EFRA, four points should be satisfied. Firstly, production organizations need to be built and stabilized for developing the EFRA and consumers' organizations and partnership are to be formed. Secondly, the government should support for building consumers' organization. Thirdly, social consensus for developing the EFRA needs to be formed. And finally with the appropriate local and central governmental support the partnership among producers, consumers, and government should be formed.

Recently, despite the presence of a large number of people with disabilities, facilities and services for the disabled are insufficient in comparison with the advanced countries. Especially, unmanned facilities and devices are not available for disabled people without help. As interest in disabled people increased, the convenient facilities for the disabled person should be legally installed in the public places. Moreover, social consensus formation and technical approaches are being actively pursued. In this paper, we propose a five-step scenario to use an unmanned post office. Based on the proposed scenario, we present the method to improve the accessibility of the user interface of the unmanned facilities. And we present a plan for establishing the short- and medium-term service models. This plan is expected to be highly practicable because it reflects the current situations of Korea Post and analysis result of the domestic and oversea cases.

As the contemporary public consensus prefers individuality to classical things, they have gotten sick of the universality and pursue fashion anew. As a result the new concept of artistic value delivers a shock to ordinary and traditional images. The bizarreness culture of fashion contains two extremes, horror and humor. which make people uneasy but amused by sensuous descriptions. Bizarre things captivate the audience regardless of the violent stimuli. The conversion of aesthetic consciousness is brought accordingly by horror and humor. In this paper, It is discussed that the concept of history of bizarreness and the social effect from its phenomena in current fashion are expressed through the two methods above. The bizarreness phenomena in current fashion is shown as a new hybrid type which has been recreated and came out of the internet. This phenomena has caused abnormal results and ironically mixed products, what was once directness, violence and disgust, are on the other hand enjoyment and amusement. A widening field, the bizarreness phenomenon, as an important implication in which can completely change the current trend, will be on track as a crucial concept representing contemporary cultures.

This study starts with a remark on the frequent usage of the term 'generation culture' in the explanations of cultural change. The term 'generation culture' itself does have neither a clear meaning nor any academic consensus for its operational definition yet. Depending on intuitions or common senses, in most cases, of everyday lift experience, the tends to designate the co-existence of different cultural layers as composing subsystems of a little broader Korean cultural trend. I tried here to analyze different positions and perspectives in the employment of this term, sometimes with strategic intentions of each social groups. Economic or political positions, for example, are intertwined with the quest of identification concerning 'we' and 'other' grouping dynamics in the Age of Globalization, which accelerates the speed of cultural re-territorialization. And the role of consumption activity as a kind of cultural indication has gained more weight in that process. This analysis will remind us, also, of the post-modem society's assumption about the space-and-time in transition, and its fluctuation.

This study focuses on the control strategy for industrial safety in Korea. Specifically, the effect of safety budget such as the industrial accident prevention fund on the safety performance to prevent and reduce industrial accidents is statistically examined first and modeled as a second order system. The effectiveness of such a dynamic model is also explained with a simple PI control mechanism in a feedback loop. The simulated model, however, suggests that, without improving the efficiency of the safety system, extra safety budget needed to decrease the accident rate to a level in advanced countries is far beyond the social consensus. An efficient way of reducing industrial accidents based on such a dynamic model with more internal damping but with less elastic nature in a feedback loop framework needs to be implemented.

Recently, the government tends to address the health policy as an economic logic. However, health policy must be priority to national health right than economic logic. Thus, in this paper analyzes the problems of telemedicine for telemedicine that are at issue in South Korea, based on this, and presents reasonable health policy directions for telemedicine. To amend the law and legislation the health policy and law, analyze the rationality, feasibility of law and sufficient review should be implemented. Comparing to the foreign which introduced telemedicine earlier, discussion on telemedicine in South Korea remains a long way to go and it is now beginning step. Therefore, it should not forget that the health policy of the government with crass insensitivity can bring great disaster. Above all, to the health care, the sufficient review and social consensus which can reduce the side-effects are priority.

Temporomandibular disorders refer to a large group musculoskeletal disorders that originate from the masticatory structures. The AADR recognize that temporomandibular (TMDs) encompass a group of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions that involve the temporomandibular joints (TMJs), the masticatory muscles, and all associated tissues. The signs and symptoms associated with these disorders are diverse, and may include difficulties with chewing, speaking, and other orofacial functions. They also are frequently associated with acute or persistent pain, and the patients often suffer from other painful disorders. The chronic forms of TMD pain may lead to absence from or impairment of work or social interactions, resulting in an overall reduction in the quality of life. However, the consensus of recent scientific literature about currently available technological diagnostic devices for TMDs is that, except for various imaging modalities, none of them shows the sensitivity and specificity required to separate normal subjects from TMD patients or to distinguish among TMD subgroups. This article reviews the various instruments to aid in the diagnosis of TMDs, and the overall validity and practical use of the Electromyography.
