A Study of Receptive Factors of Smartphone Service from the User's Perspective (스마트폰 서비스의 수용적 요인에 관한 연구 : 사용자 관점에서)

  • This study first aims to investigate from the users' perspective what service is the most efficient to users and what service is relatively the most effective in contrast to investment among a variety of services provided by smartphone manufacturers, telecommunication companies, and related corporations. In addition, this research suggests implicatively important elements for making the future model of smartphone services. For this end, this study finds out the factors which generate users' positive or negative attitudes towards smartphone use through a questionnaire of those who are using smartphones at present. In particular, by applying Theory of Planned Behavior, this study analyzes the influence exerted by the user's belief towards the kinds of services by setting up Attitudinal Belief, Subjective Norms, and Control Belief which have an influence on attitude from the perspective of smartphone providing detailed services. The results of this study will eventually help the smartphone manufacturers, telecommunication companies, and related corporations to establish smartphone marketing strategy as well as to select the smartphone services which will have popular appeal to their users.

The College Adaptation and Smartphone Addiction in University Enterents: The Mediating effect of Interpersonal Support Relationship (대학신입생의 대학생활 적응과 스마트폰 중독과의 관계 : 대인관계 지지의 매개효과)

  • This study was conducted to investigate that the mediating effect of interpersonal support in college students. Data were collected from the college located in G province, Korea from April, 1th to May 2th 2017. Data were analyzed by pearson correlation coefficients, and regression method of Baron & Kenny of SPSS 26.0 program, and Sobel test of Amos 16.0 program. The result were as follows; 1) The mean scores were college adaptation 5.30(.75), smartphone addiction 2.30(.48), interpersonal support 4.53(.75). 2) The college adaptation showed negative correlation with smartphone addiction(r=.328, p<.001) and positive correlation with interpersonal support(r=.490, p<.001) significantly. Interpersonal support showed significant negative correlation with smartphone addiction(r=-034, p=.04). 3) Interpersonal support had partial mediating effect(Z=2.16, p=.03) in the relationship between college adaptation and smartphone addiction. Baron & Kenny's three-step test showed that college adaptation(${\beta}=-.37$, p<.000) and interpersonal support (${\beta}=.30$, p=.15) were significant predictor variables for the smartphone addiction. Based on the results of this study, college program which is reinforce interpersonal support need to be applied and for the successful college adaptation and beneficial use of smartphone.

The Effect of smartphone addiction and stress on sleep quality among university students (대학생의 스마트폰 중독과 스트레스가 수면의 질에 미치는 영향)

  • Sleep quality among university students is important, especially for their physical and psychosocial wellbeing. This study was conducted to investigate the level of smartphone addiction and stress among university students, and to estimate the effects of those variables on sleep quality. Data were collected from August 1st to 14th, 2018 using an online self-report survey to measure demographics including daily activity and indulgence foods, smartphone addiction, perceived stress scale, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (Korean version). Collected data were analyzed by independent t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. The results showed that smartphone addiction, stress, and sleep quality had positive correlation in each relation. Multiple regression analysis showed that the predictors of sleep quality were smartphone addiction (${\beta}=0.041$, p=.001) and stress level (${\beta}=0.177$, p=.001), and the regression equation explained 24.9% of sleep quality. Therefore, higher levels of smartphone addiction and stress were associated with lower sleep quality. Based on these results, it is necessary to reduce unnecessary use of smartphone usage, as well as to develop and apply programs for university students to improve their sleep quality.

Factors of Leading the Adoption of Diet/Exercise Apps on Smartphones: Application of Channel Expansion Theory (다이어트/운동 앱의 수용에 대한 결정요인: 채널확장이론을 중심으로)

  • This study paid attention to the notable increase of the use of diet/exercise apps on smartphones. Based on channel expansion theory and technology acceptance model (TAM), this study investigated how three predictors-Internet information use efficacy, Internet information credibility, smartphone use efficacy-affected one's attitude toward and intention to use diet/exercise apps. Results from a path analysis indicated that Internet information use efficacy and smartphone use efficacy positively predict the perceived ease of use of diet/exercise apps. Internet information credibility positively predicts the perceived usefulness of such apps. Moreover, there were gender differences in the effects of both Internet information use efficacy and Internet information credibility on the perceived usefulness of diet/exercise apps.

  • Recently, devices such as smartphone and vehicle blackbox and EDR(Evern Data Recorder knowed automotive real-time control and driving data to use OBD-2(in-vehicle network). when devices receive vehicle driving data, communication way use each Wifi, Bluetooth. but if user and driver change device to use OBD-2 connect, the device differ communication network way. and driver buy and change OBD-2 connect. In this paper, to remedy one's shortcomings, there integrate Bluetooth and Wifi network module and design integrability hardware as any another device know vehicle real-time control and driving data with one integrability connect.

  • Mental status examination is an important stage in the assessment process because it serves as the foundation for establishing nursing diagnosis and intervention. Until now many students still feel difficult to understand the terms in the assessment of mental status. Interactive Mobile Learning in one of the media that is currently being developed. The use of this media will provide more in-depth learning opportunities, and students can practice their skills in carrying out practicals because of the mobility principle possessed by smartphones. The purpose of this study was to develop a smartphone-based app and evaluate the app's effectiveness by measuring nursing students' knowledge of mental status examination. Design: A randomized trial with a pre-and post-test design was conducted at a university in Indonesia. A total of seventy junior nursing students participated in this study. The intervention group received a smartphone-based app, and the control group received one-time lecture-based learning. We offered the experimental group the app and information about how to use it, and we encouraged them to use it. The control group received classroom instruction. Results: The intervention group scored significantly higher than the control group on knowledge score (t = 19.40, p = 0.000) and satisfaction with the learning method (t = 0.640, p = 0.021) Conclusion: These findings suggest that smartphonebased education could be an effective method in nursing education for teaching mental status examinations.

The relationship between media function of internet and smartphone, and youth depression (인터넷 및 스마트폰의 미디어 기능과 청소년 우울과의 관련성)

  • Purpose: As the internet use of teenagers become more common, the need for research on the relationship between the internet and youth depression has emerged. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between internet use and adolescent depression. Methods: The subjects of this study were youth attending elementary($6^{th}$ grade), middle($2^{nd}$ grade), and high schools($2^{nd}$ grade) belonging to the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education. Depression was assessed using the BDI depression scale. Internet functions were classified into 10 categories, and the degree of use by Internet functions was examined. The most frequently used Internet sites were surveyed. Univariate analysis using $X^2$ test and multivariate analysis using logistic regression analysis were conducted to find out the difference of internet and smartphone media function on depression according to elementary, middle and high school students. Results: Depression was higher of 13.2 times for students who use online transactions (goods purchase), 0.07 times for students who use 'bulletin board' activities in elementary students. Depression was higher of 1.55 times for those who use online transactions (purchasing goods), and 2.3 times for those who use adult sites for middle school students. Depression was higher of 2.1 times when using e-mail and 1.9 times when using other information retrieval for high school students. Conclusion: It is necessary to consider characteristics of internet utilizing pattern by school class in policy regulation and prevention program to reduce youth depression.

Application of Smartphone Camera Calibration for Close-Range Digital Photogrammetry (근접수치사진측량을 위한 스마트폰 카메라 검보정)

  • Recently studies on application development and utilization using sensors and devices embedded in smartphones have flourished at home and abroad. This study aimed to analyze the accuracy of the images of smartphone to determine three-dimension position of close objects prior to the development of photogrammetric system applying smartphone and evaluate the feasibility to use. First of all, camera calibration was conducted on autofocus and infinite focus. Regarding camera calibration distortion model with balance system and unbalance system was used for the decision of lens distortion coefficient, the results of calibration on 16 types of projects showed that all cases were in RMS error by less than 1 mm from bundle adjustment. Also in terms of autofocus and infinite focus on S and S2 model, the pattern of distorted curve was almost the same, so it could be judged that change in distortion pattern according to focus mode is very little. The result comparison according to autofocus and infinite focus and the result comparison according to a software used for multi-image processing showed that all cases were in standard deviation less than ${\pm}3$ mm. It is judged that there is little result difference between focus mode and determination of three-dimension position by distortion model. Lastly the checkpoint performance by total station was fixed as most probable value and the checkpoint performance determined by each project was fixed as observed value to calculate statistics on residual of individual methods. The result showed that all projects had relatively large errors in the direction of Y, the direction of object distance compared to the direction of X and Z. Like above, in terms of accuracy for determination of three-dimension position for a close object, the feasibility to use smartphone camera would be enough.

  • The smartphone is simply beyond the means of communication equipment, to line up the turning point of mobile convergence, is recognized as a service tool of new concept the camera, game, multimedia function, digital multimedia broadcasting, mobile internet etc, that use of smartphone is working toward developed a variety and new business models. The study is empirically studied casualties that self-determination influences flow and satisfaction which is intrinsic motivation of smartphone. There are many studies on flow, is intrinsic motivation, influencing satisfaction and Loyalty, but there are little studies which variables influences flow. this study is explore causality of autonomy, competence, relatedness which are major variables of self-determination theory that studied factors effecting intrinsic motivation influencing flow and satisfaction. This study developed a research model to explain the use of smartphone, and collected 670 survey responses from the office workers of seoul S company who had experiences with such smartphone. To prove the validity of the proposed research model, SEM analysis is applied with valid 670 questionnaires. The results, firstly, autonomy positively influences flow. secondly, competence significantly influences flow. thirdly, relatedness significantly influenced flow. also, upper above results shows that flow influences satisfaction.
