Design and Implementation of ontology based context-awareness platform using driver intent information (운전자 의도정보를 이용한 온톨로지 기반 지능형자동차 상황인식 플랫폼 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we devise a new ontology-based context-aware system to recognize the smart car information, in which driver's intent is utilized by information of car, driver, environment as well as driving state, driver state. So proposed system can handle dynamically risk changes by adding real-time situational awareness information. We utilize the camera image recognition technology for context-aware intelligent vehicle driving information, and implement information acquisition scheme OBD-II protocol to acquire vehicle's information. Experiments confirm that the proposed advanced driver safety assist system outperforms the conventional system, which only utilizes the information of vehicle, driver, and environmental information, to support the service of a high-speed driving, lane-departure service and emergency braking situation awareness.

  • The Smart Use Interface Platform(SUIP) which is the next generation of smart phone's intelligent user interface platform researches, has a function of finding outer devices and has the dynamic loading function of the device driver. This paper introduce platform converter between smartphone and outer devices, named SUIP converter and it's applications, the SUIP converter can combines the smart phones which has Smart Use interface Platform and the Devices like sensor network devices which can be hardly connected to the smart phones.

  • Recently, the automotive technology has developed with electronics and information technology as convergence technology while vehicles had been regarded as machines. Moreover, vehicles are becoming more intelligent and safer devices, assembly of advanced technologies by customers' demand. Even though all of installations of vehicle have attracted as diverting devices, it cause drivers' mistakes like delay of response on traffic condition. Here, we proposed the Field Operational Test (FOT) environment which could be used as driving and road conditions collector(Vehicle motion, Traffic condition, Driver input, Driver state, etc.) for researches about Driver Friendly Intelligent System(SCC, LDWS, etc.), Human Vehicle Interface(Driving Workload, etc.) and Economic Drive Model. Furthermore driving patten and fuel consumption patten of drivers were analyzed by measured data and direction of future research was suggested.

  • Recently, there have been frequent incidents of talent accidents caused by youth driving without a license. Driving without a license is becoming a hotbed of curiosity and challenge for some young people, and there is a limit to managing smart keys at home to prevent this. Therefore, in this paper, using the facial recognition algorithm, the face of the driver sitting in the driver's seat is compared with the information stored in advance, and the system is designed to control the engine by determining that it is a registered driver. If the registered driver authentication is successful, the matching accuracy and Unlock message are output to the LCD connected to the Raspberry Pi.

  • The switching noise in the power electronics of the power conversion equipment (Power Conditioning System) for large energy storage devices are generated. Since the burst-level transient noise from being generated in the power system at a higher power change process influences the control circuit of the low voltage driver circuit. Noise may cause the malfunction of the control device even if no dielectric breakdown leads to a control circuit. To overcome this, this paper proposes the installation of an additional nano-surge protection device on the power supply DC output circuit of the battery management unit.

  • The photonic quantum ring (PQR) laser is a three dimensional whispering gallery (WG) mode laser and has anomalous quantum wire properties, such as microampere to nanoampere range threshold currents and ${\sqrt{T}}$-dependent thermal red shifts. We observed uniform bottom emissions from a 1-kb smart pixel chip of a $32{\times}32$ InGaAs PQR laser array flip-chip bonded to a 0.35 ${\mu}m$ CMOS-based PQR laser driver. The PQR-CMOS smart pixel array, now operating at 30 MHz, will be improved to the GHz frequency range through device and circuit optimization.

  • Smart phone products lead the mobile computing world really, and be expected as a major object of mobile phone market. In special, Android OS platform in smart phones is remarkedly uprising as of main software architecture. As many applications are applied as of the Location Based Service system in the perspective of technical support which represents open based technology. In this research, we developed the location information transformation service module, using LBS system, which effects some users urgently in the timing of traffic accidents. It supports to help some car drivers with smart phone, enables them to recognizes remote controller or another users.

  • This paper provides Bus Information System(BIS) implementation based on the Smart-phone APPs using GPS information. Nearly all of recent smart-phones are equipped with the GPS feature. Bus driver's smart-phone can send the position information using its GPS information periodically and on events. On receiving those information, servers can process those into the information that can be used by individual users and bus stop information panel. The proposed BIS based on smart-phone APPs is expected to be used publicly with the special process that enables the smart-phone APPs only in the specific bus.

The Sub Authentication Method For Driver Using Driving Patterns (운전 패턴을 이용한 운전자 보조 인증방법)

  • Recently, a variety of IT technologies are applied to the vehicle. However, some vehicle-IT technologies without security considerations may cause security problems. Specially, some researches about a smart key system applied to automobiles for authentication show that the system is insecure from replay attacks and modification attacks using a wireless signal of the smart key. Thus, in this paper, we propose an authentication method for the driver by using driving patterns. Nowadays, we can obtain driving patterns using the In-vehicle network data. In our authentication model, we make driving ppatterns of car owner using standard normal distribution and apply these patterns to driver authentication. To validate our model, we perform an k-fold cross validation test using In-vehicle network data and obtain the result(true positive rate 0.7/false positive rate is 0.35). Considering to our result, it turns out that our model is more secure than existing 'what you have' authentication models such as the smart key if the authentication result is sent to the car owner through mobile networks.
