Using an inkjet printing process, we have investigated a droplet formation of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene): poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) near the orifice of a piezoelectric inkjet head. With an attempt to form the smallest droplet without any satellites, we have applied various waveforms such as the unipolar, bipolar, and M-shaped waveforms. It is found that the droplet velocity and volume vary depending sensitively on the waveform width and voltage. Of those, the M-shaped waveform is shown to provide the smallest droplet volume, followed by the bipolar and then unipolar waveforms. The droplet printed on a PET film roll by the M-shaped waveform has the diameter as small as 46.1 ㎛. It is likely that the second short unipolar in the M-shape waveform increases the droplet velocity gradient, rendering the droplet smaller.

The case study looks into the case of the "extreme" market segmentation strategy of company L with its top luxury windows and door brand "Lonchel". Company L has long enjoyed a leading position in the Korean windows and doors mass market. However, it went against their already well-established flagship brand and created a completely new one called "Lonchel", pursuing an extreme market segmentation strategy focusing on the small niche market of highest-income customers exclusively. The strategy has turned out to be successful and the company has gained long-lasting competitive advantages. In this vein this study analyzes the market environment in which the top-tier brand "Lonchel" appeared, the concept of the extreme positioning and the smallest viable market, the characteristics of target customers, the company's analysis of and response to them, and the analysis of products to meet their needs. The brand operation plan and promotion will be also reviewed. Through this, we intend to draw implications related to the extreme positioning strategy that a company may pursue in a target market of small groups of people.
The objective of this investigation was to indentify major factors affecting surface roughness among various parameters of electropolishing process using the design of an experiment method (full factorial design) for UNS S31603. Factors selected included electrolyte composition ratio, applied current density, and electrolytic polishing time. They were compared through analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results of ANOVA revealed that all parameters could affect surface roughness, with the influence of electrolyte composition ratio being the highest. As a result of surface analysis after electropolishing, the specimen with the deepest surface damage was about 35 times greater than the condition with the smallest surface damage. The largest value of surface roughness after electropolishing was higher than that of mechanical polishing due to excessive processing. On the other hand, the smallest value of surface roughness after electropolishing was 0.159 ㎛, which was improved by more than 80% compared to the previous mechanical polishing. Taken all results together, it is the most appropriate to perform electrolytic polishing with a sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid ratio of 3:7, an applied current density of 300 mA/cm2, and anelectrolytic polishing time of 5 minutes.

A model experiment on the pair midwater trawl net which is prevailing in Denmark is carried out to get the basic data available for Korean pair bottom trawlers. The model net was made in 1/30 scale considering the Tauti's Similarity law of fishing gear and the dimension of experimental tank. The vertical opening, horizontal opening, towing tension and net working depth of the model net were determined in the tank within the towing velocity 0.46~1.15m/sec, front weight 15.5~62.0g and distance between paired boats 5~8m(which correpond to 2~5k't in towing velocity, 70~280kg in weight and 150~240m in distance respectively in the prototype net). The results got from the model experiment can be converted into the full scale net as follows; 1. Vertical opening showed the largest value of 32m at the condition of 2k't in towing velocity, 280kg in front weight and 150m in the distance between paired boats, and the smallest value of 6m at the condition of 5k't in towing velocity, 70kg in front weight and 240m in the distance between paired boats. 2. Horizontal opening showed the largest value of 45m at the condition of 5k't in towing velocity, 70kg in front weight and 240m in the distance between paired boats, and the smallest value of 33m at the condition of 2k't in towing velocity, 280kg in front weight and 150m in the distance between paired boats. 3. Towing tension showed the largest value of 10, 000kg at the condition of 5k't in towing velocity, 280kg in front weight and 240m in the distance between paired boats, and the smallest value of 1, 600kg at the condition of 2k't in towing velocity, 70kg in front weight and 150m in the distance between paired boats. 4. Net working depth showed the largest value of 38m at the condition of 2k't in towing velocity, 280kg in front weight and 150m in the distance between paired boats, and the smallest value of 6m at the condition of 5k't in towing velocity, 70kg in front weight and 240m in the distance between paired boats. 5. Net opening area showed the largest value of 1, 100m super(2) at the condition of 2k't in towing velocity, 280kg in front weight and 180m in the distance between paired boats, and the smallest value of 250m super(2) at the condition of 5k't in towing velocity, 70kg in front weight and 240m in the distance between paired boats.

This study was conducted to obtain basic information on mainstem, branch and leaf characteristics related to canopy for development of high yielding cultivar using 70 Korean soybean cultivars developed from 1913 to 2000. Variations of canopy width, branch length, and canopy width/length ratio were higher compared to other characteristics among 12 mainstem and branch characters. Variations of petiole angle, leaflet width/length ratio and compound leaf dry weight were higher than other characteristics among eight leaf characters related to plant canopy. Three classifications of soybean cultivars were used based on usage: I)soy sauce and tofu, II)bean sprout, and III)cooking with rice. Canopy width/length ratio was higher in group III, cooking with rice than group I, soy sauce and tofu, and group II, bean sprout, and there was no difference between the two, group I and group II. The total branch length/main stem height ratio was higher in group II, bean sprout and group III, cooking with rice than group I, soy sauce and tofu. Mainstem and branch characteristics related to plant canopy were classified into four groups by ratio of canopy width/length and total branch length/main stem length, respectively. Soybean cultivars with narrow canopy and high dependence of mainstem were Danweonkong, Keumkangkong, Shelby, and Shinpaldalkong. Soybean cultivars with broad canopy and high dependence of mainstem were Kanglim, Keumkangdaelip, and Jinyulkong, and a cultivar with broad canopy and high dependence of branch were Geomjeongkong 2. Leaflet length/width ratio was lowest in cooking with rice and there was no difference between soy sauce and tofu and bean sprout. Compound leaf area was largest in cooking with rice and smallest in bean sprout. Leaf petiole length was short in bean sprout and there was no difference between soy sauce and tofu and bean sprout. Leaf petiole angle was highest in cooking with rice and lowest in bean sprout. Leaf type was classified into four groups based on leaflet width/length ratio and compound leaf area, respectivly. Buseok and Taekwangkong had an oval leaflet and largest area of compound leaf. Eunhakong and Sohokong had extreme narrow leaflet and smallest area of compound leaf. Leaf petiole type was classified into three and four groups based on leaf petiole length and angle, respectively. A soybean cultivar with the shortest petiole length and smallest petiole angle was Eunhakong and cultivars with short petiole length and large petiole angle were Alchankong, Muhankong, and Pureunkong. A soybean cultivar with long petiole length and small petiole angle was Sinpaldalkong 2. Among a total of 70 Korean soybean cultivars, Eunhakong had an extreme narrow type in leaf, smallest compound leaf area, shortest petiole length, and smallest petiole angle of compound leaf.

In knee implants, contact pressure has a significant effect on wear. In this study, finite element analysis is performed using the knee implant model developed in the previous research. The contact pressures for a total of 10 knee implant materials combinations were analyzed using the combinations actually used in research and industry. In order to calculate the contact pressure, The load was applied when the flection angle of knee was $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$ and $60^{\circ}$. The result of contact pressure revealed the smallest contact pressure in the titanium alloy-UHMWPE combination. In the case of UHMWPE, contact pressure did not change much with any material used in the femur. Compared the combination with the largest contact pressure and the smallest contact pressure, the difference was 0.77%. On the other hand, Carbon / PEEK composites showed 5.3% difference when the contact pressure was the largest and the smallest. It can be seen that when the Carbon / PEEK composite material is used as the bearing part, the material of the femoral part affects the wear. This study will contribute to the prediction of knee implant wear and minimization of wear.

Folate loaded WPI (whey protein isolate) nanoparticles were prepared using the cold-induced gelation process. The aim of this work was to investigate the effects of process parameters, such as the concentration of the WPI solution, pH, temperature, etc, on the properties of nanoparticles. The results show that the smallest nanoparticles were obtained when a WPI concentration of 1% was used at a pH of 8.0 (<330 nm). In the case of the concentration of $CaCO_3$, the smallest particles were obtained at a concentration of 5 mM. Alginate produced the smallest mean size with the narrowest particle size distribution, while the largest particles were prepared with k-carrageenan. As the w:o ratio increased, the mean particle size also increased. When the release profile was analyzed, the particles were shown to be stable for more than 6 h at a pH of 1.2, where almost all of the folic acid was released within 2 h in the dissolution media of PBS at a pH of 7.4. Thus, the process parameters appear to be important factors that affect the properties of nanoparticles.

There are three designs of thread form in screw type implants: V-thread, Reverse buttress thread and Square thread. The purpose of this study was to find out how thread form designs have an influence on the equivalent stress, equivalent strain, maximum shear stress and maximum shear strain and which design of thread form generates more maximum equivalent stress and strain. 3-D finite element analysis was used to evaluate the stress and strain patterns of three tread types. The results of this study were as follow. 1. Under the 200N of axial load, the value of maximum equivalent stress is smallest in square thread and there is no significant difference between that of V thread and reverse buttress thread. 2. Under the 200N of axial load, the value of maximum equivalent strain is largest in V thread and smallest in square thread. 3. Under the 200N of axial load, the value of maximum shear stress is smallest in square thread and there is no significant difference between that of V thread and reverse buttress thread. 4. Under the 200N of axial load, the value of maximum equivalent strain is largest in V thread and there is no significant difference between that of square thread and reverse buttress thread. 5. Above results show that the square thread has special advantages in stress and strain compared with other thread types, especially in shear stess which is most determinant to implant-bone interface. Considering the superior biomechanical properties of square form implant, we presume that square form implant has better clinical results than the other types of implants in the same clinical conditions.

The contents of ascorbic acid, potassium, calcium and magnesium were similar and the moisture is significantly low compared with any other vegetables.
The quality change of black rice during storage at $20^{\circ}C$ was measured to determine a packaging material for black rice storage, using polyethylene film (PE), polypropylene film (PP) and laminated film with PE and PP (PE/PP). Water activity of black rice was 0.642 at initial time and changed little in 8 months during storage at $20^{\circ}C$. Acidity of black rice was 25 mg KOH at initial time and was the lowest, 33.16 mg KOH, within PE/PP of 0.10 mm in thickness in 8 months during storage at $20^{\circ}C$. L, a and b values, hunter color value of black rice were not changed significantly in all packaging materials during 8 month storage. Hardness of the black rice was increased a little, but changed the smallest in PF/PP and the largest in PE with 0.05mm in thickness in 8 months. During storage, hexanal content was increased the smallest in PE/PP and the largest in 0.05 mm PE. Among fatty acid of black rice, linoleic acid was changed the smallest in PE/PP and the largest in 0.05 mm PE. In conclusion, PE/PP was better for the storage of black rice than PE and PP.
