자기 센서를 이용한 전자 컴퍼스 개발 (Development of Electronic Compass using Magnetic Sensors)

  • Recently fishing industry is interested in efficiency and automation to acquire the international competitive power of national fishing industry. As an automation device of fishing boat, there are electric compasses using GPS and terrestrial magnetic sensor. Electric compass can be minimum size, high effectiveness with keeping the characteristic of a magnetic compass. This can be used a heading angle sensor to construct auto-navigation system in a small size ship. This paper develop electronic compass system that has serial output signal in NMEA 0183 and demonstrates the possibility of the electronics compass in navigation system for a small sized ship.

  • The similar point of the 19 regional industrial clusters of Japan is that all of the clusters are not limited to an administrational district but rather covers a larger area. When a cluster covers a larger area, there is problem of acquiring responsible businesses and interactive planing. In order to overcome such a problem, private coordinating organizations have been installed and operated to connect and manage inter-activities of industries, universities, and research institutes. TAMA, a private coordinating organization, differs from other associations in a way that it does not deal with one specific field or business. TAMA rather dealswith various product-developing small to middle size companies by offering strategic support for the development of new technologies and expansion of new businesses. Product-developing small to middle size companies comparatively have their own abilities for technological development and marketing which is quite different from other subcontract companies and their relations to large corporations. In such aspect, product-developing companies are actually similar to large corporations with competitiveness in the world market.

선형가속기의 소조사면에 대한 빔 자료 측정에서 검출기의 선량 특성 분석 (Dosimetric Characteristics of Detectors in Measurement of Beam Data for Small Fields of Linear Accelerator)

  • 선형가속기를 기반으로 하는 세기조절방사선치료와 정위적방사선수술에서는 치료계획시스템의 소조사면에 대한 신뢰할만한 선량분포를 계산하기 위해서는 우선적으로 소조사면의 정확한 빔 자료 측정이 선행되어야 한다. 특히 소조사면의 빔 자료 측정에서 조사면 가장자리에서의 급격한 선량 변화, 측면 전자비평형, 그리고 검출기의 체적 영향으로 인한 적절한 검출기 선택이 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 선형가속기의 소조사면에 대한 빔 자료 측정에 있어서 검출기의 선량 특성을 알아보고자 하였다. 검출기는 0.01 cc 부피와 0.13 cc 부피의 이온전리함과 정위적다이오드를 사용하였으며, 빔 자료는 광자선(6 MV와 15 MV)에 대하여 조사면 크기를 $2{\times}2cm^2$에서 $5{\times}5cm^2$까지 변화시켜 각 검출기를 이용하여 깊이선량백분율, 선량출력계수, 그리고 빔측면도를 측정하였다. CC01 이온전리함과 정위적다이오드 검출기를 이용한 $PDD_{20}/PDD_{10}$$2{\times}2cm^2$ 조사면의 경우 6 MV와 15 MV에서 각각 1.02%와 0.12% 차이를 보였다. $3{\times}3cm^2$ 이상의 조사면에서는 각 검출기를 이용하여 얻어진 $PDD_{20}/PDD_{10}$의 차이가 6 MV와 15 MV에서 각각 평균 1.15%와 0.71% 이였다. CC01 이온전리함과 정위적다이오드 검출기를 이용한 선량출력계수 측정 결과, $2{\times}2cm^2$ 조사면의 경우 6 MV와 15 MV에서 0.5%와 1.5%이내에서 일치하였다. $3{\times}3cm^2$ 이상의 조사면에서는 각 검출기의 차이가 0.5% 이내이였다. 3개의 깊이에서 측정된 빔측면도의 반음영은 정위적다이오드 검출기의 경우 6 MV와 15 MV에서 각각 평균 2.7 mm와 3.5 mm, CC01 이온전리함의 경우 각각 평균 3.4 mm와 4.3 mm, CC13 이온전리함의 경우 각각 평균 5.2 mm와 6.1 mm이였다. 이를 통해 깊이선량백분율과 선량출력계수 측정 시 $2{\times}2cm^2$ 조사면에서는 CC01 이온전리함과 정위적다이오드 검출기를 $3{\times}3cm^2$에서 $5{\times}5cm^2$ 조사면에서는 각 검출기의 사용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 소조사면에 대한 정확한 빔측면도의 반음영을 측정하기 위해서는 유효체적이 작은 CC01 이온전리함과 정위적다이오드 검출기 사용하는 것이 타당하겠다.

PERIOD CHANGES OF 23 FIELD RR LYRAE STARS

  • The secular period behavior of 23 field RR Lyrae stars is studied in order to determine if the observed period changes could be attributed, at least in the mean, to stellar evolution. The sample of stars is subdivided into two Oosterhoff groups based on the metallicity and period-shift. Despite the small sample size, we found a distinct bias toward positive period changes in the group II variables. The period changes of the group I variables, however, are small and in the mean near zero. This is consistent with the behavior predicted by the recent evolutionary models, as was the case for the variables in globular clusters. This provides yet another support for the Lee, Demarque, and Zinn (1990) evolutionary models of RR Lyrase stars and their explanation of the Sandage period-shift effect.

On exact wave propagation analysis of triclinic material using three-dimensional bi-Helmholtz gradient plate model

  • Rapid advances in the engineering applications can bring further areas to provide the opportunity to manipulate anisotropic structures for direct productivity in design of micro/nano-structures. For the first time, magnetic affected wave characteristics of nanosize plates made of anisotropic material is investigated via the three-dimensional bi-Helmholtz nonlocal strain gradient theory. Three small scale parameters are used to predict the size-dependent behavior of the nanoplates more accurately. After owing governing equations of wave motion, an analytical approach based harmonic series is utilized to fine the wave frequency as well as phase velocity. It is observed that the small scale parameters, magnetic field and wave number have considerable influence on the wave characteristics of anisotropic nanoplates. Due to the lack of any study on the mechanics of three-dimensional bi-Helmholtz gradient plates made of anisotropic materials, it is hoped that the present exact model may be used as a benchmark for future works of such nanostructures.

MI센서를 이용한 3차원상 자석 위치 추정 기술 (Magnet Location Estimation Technology in 3D Using MI Sensors)

  • This paper presents a system for estimating the position of a magnet using a magnetic sensor. An algorithm is presented to analyze the waveform and output voltage values of the magnetic field generated at each position when the magnet moves and to estimate the position of the magnet based on the analyzed data. Here, the magnet is sufficiently small to be inserted into a blood vessel and has a micro-magnetic field of hundreds of nanoteslas owing to the small size and shape of the guide wire. In this study, a highly sensitive magneto-impedance (MI) sensor was used to detect these micro-magnetic fields. Nine MI sensors were arranged in a 3×3 configuration to detect a magnetic field that changes according to the position of the magnet through the MI sensor, and the voltage value output was polynomially regressed to specify a position value for each voltage value. The accuracy was confirmed by comparing the actual position value with the estimated position value by expanding it from a 1D straight line to a 3D space. Additionally, we could estimate the position of the magnet within a 3% error.

  • 정부와 안전보건공단에서는 건설현장의 안전사고 저감을 위하여 감독 점검, 기술지도 재정지원 등의 안전활동을 지속적으로 수행하여 왔으나, 건설현장의 재해자수는 매년 증가추세에 있으며, 특히 소규모 건설공사를 위주로 전체 재해자수의 80%이상을 차지하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소규모 건설공사 현장에서의 안전 보건관리의 이행현황을 조사하고 해당 사업장에 정부의 적정한 기술지도 방안을 마련할 필요성이 있으며, 소규모 건설공사 현장에서의 재해를 줄이고 기술지도사업의 실효성을 확보하기 위한 건설현장에 부합하는 기술지도 최적안을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

마이크로 프레스에 의한 미세 펀칭 홀의 디버링 특성 (A Deburring Characteristics of Small Punching Holes using Micro Press)

  • In micro hole punching process the burr occurs inevitably, but the burr must be minimized in order to improve the quality and accuracy of the product. In this study, magnetic field-assisted polishing technique is applied to remove the burr which exists in nozzles for ink-jet printer head and proved to be a feasible for deburring by experiment. The deburring characteristics of sheet metals was investigated changing with polishing time and magnetic abrasive size. After the deburring, the burr size has remarkably reduced and roundness of the hole also has improved.

  • 한국산 설치류 중 등줄쥐(Apodemus agrarius)의 분류학적 연구를 위해서 제주도산 등줄쥐(Apodemus agrarius chejuensis)를 채집하였으며 형태적 및 염색체 분석을 한반도 내의 등줄쥐(A. agrarius coreae)와 비교 실시하였다. A. agrarius coreae와 A. agrarius chejuensis는 염색체 핵형에서는 같았으나, 형태적 형질에 있어서는 전자는 작은 형이었으며 후자는 큰 형이었다.

  • Understanding of charging properties of a small particle is necessary to control the particle contamination and to improve productivity of the electronic device in the plasma aided semiconductor manufacturing processes. In this study, the effects of both magnetic field and particle size on the charging properties are experimentally investigated in collisional dusty plasmas. The experiments carried out in the system consisted of a monodisperse particle generation system, a DC magnetized plasma generation system and a charge measurement system. The plasma chamber is made of cross-shape Pyrex surrounded by magnetic bucket (composed of 12 permanent magnetic bar) to confine the plasma. DC magnetic field up to 250G are applied to the plasma zone by external magnetic coil. Previous work shows the charging effect clearly increase with increasing the size of the particle and plasma density, as it was expected.
