중소기업 품질관리의 현황문제점 분석과 효율적인 품질관리적용추진 모델 설정에 관한 연구

  • In Korea small-medium companies constitute 96.7% of all of the mining and manufacturing industries, about 34.2% of the total production of value added business, an average of 34.8% of #he actual export of industrial goods, and 49.4% of employment at the end of 1980. Now then small-medium industry companies organization style constitutes 82.1% of private companies and 82.7% of the total on an small scale under 49 persons in regular empolyees. Small-medium industry Companies have growing problems and bottle-necks in their physical conditions. Total Quality Control is contributed by small-medium industry company for more growth than present conditions. But now, Small-medium industry company do not use systematic application of Quality Control Method, the small-medium business company products quality is not better as compared with big business company. Specially, TQC is needed for Small-medium company for imperishable enlargement . In order to promote good will and the major stress of this paper is first of all on the problems of Quality Control, which covers the present states and derived problems of Quality Control, ill Korea Small-medium industry Companies. These are investigated and analyzed to insure the rational application of Quality Control to the Small-medium companies with a view of the establishment of the direction and systematic improving means of Quality Control application Model building for Korea Small-medium industry.

  • Six Sigma Management has been introduced as a management strategy by leading companies and some small and medium-sized companies in Korea. But it is not easy for small and medium-sized companies to implement this new management system because of their business environment such as poor manpower or lack of time, etc. This paper proposes an effective implementation model of the Six Sigma Management for small and medium-sized companies using the management by process. First, We review the concept of Six Sigma Management and consider the problems of introducing the system for small and medium-sized companies. And then, Six Sigma Management model for small and medium-sized companies named SIX SIGMA-s is presented. Finally, we present a case study of applying SIX SIGMA-s for a medium- sized company.

  • This research suggests the security countermeasures for solving technology outflow of small-medium companies in New IT Environment through level comparison of security cognition and security management between small-medium companies and major big companies. According to analysis results, it is poor for small-medium companies' level of security cognition and security management compared with major big companies. Small-medium companies need to manage technology outflow to major big companies' level in New IT Environment. Small-medium companies has started to build New IT Environment recently and it must build the appropriate security system for small-medium companies at the same time. Small-medium company has more problem with budget and proffessionals to maintain the security of technology outflow. Therefore government has to support systematic management for the security of technology outflow to Small-medium companies

A Method for Preventing Falling Accident in Small and Medium-sized Construction Companies (중소건설업체의 떨어짐 재해 예방방법)

  • According to the data released by Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency, construction workers suffering from falling disaster have been increasing continuously for the last five years, and in fact, small and medium construction companies' falling disaster forms over 97% of all every year. This means that to reduce falling disaster significantly, it is needed to get rid of disaster taking place in small and medium construction companies. Here, this study aims to analyze various causes of falling disaster in small and medium construction companies, examine how those factors are correlated with one another, and suggest how to manage the risk of falling disaster effectively. According to the study results, main factors influencing falling disaster in small and medium construction companies are found as follows: Situational Awareness/Risk Perception, Fatigue/Alertness, Communications, Equipment/Facilities, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the Direct Level, Management/Supervision, Education/Training, and Planning in the Organizational Level, and Management's Commitment to Safety in the Policy Level.

  • This study clearly defined the idea of convergence of small and medium companies and convergence types and understood convergence case of small and medium companies for each type in order to help enhancement of competitiveness of small and medium companies. The convergence type of small and medium companies accepted two levels including technology and industry and value improvement and creation suggested by Deloitte(2009) and it was classified into technology improvement-market expansion type, technology improvement-market creation type, technology creation-market expansion type, and technology creation-market creation type based on the companies introduced in the excellent casebook of convergence and integration technology development business of small and medium companies(August 2011). As a result, it was shown as 5 cases of technology improvement-market expansion, 4 cases of technology improvement-market creation, 3 cases of technology creation-market expansion, and 1 case of technology creation-market creation among the total 13 cases. Therefore, small and medium companies are focusing on technology improvement than technology creation and market expansion than market creation. What we can understand through cases analysis on convergence types of small and medium company is that it is very difficult for small and medium companies to create new technology or new market through convergence. Thus, small and medium companies consider market expansion through technology improvement as the objective and result of convergence. It is important to create new technology or new industry to cultivate new growth engines of the nation, but policy support that cares about reality of small and medium companies must be considered at the same time.

  • In this paper, it is indicated that, currently, foundation of small and medium businesses is generally increasing in number, but the establishment of manufacturing companies is very slow. This is because of many factors interfering with promotion of the opening of small and medium businesses such as endless bakruptcies of the businesses and uncertain perspective. Therefore, it will be expected to encourage people to start business and activate establishment of small and medium sized manufacturing companies by improving tax support systems and providing tax support information services for founed companies and foundation supporting companies.

  • The measurement of business performance is important to secure the competitiveness of construction companies. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze what is needed to increase the competitiveness of small & medium construction companies. In order to analyze efficiently, this study reconfirms the effectiveness of Key Performance Indicators(KPI) of construction companies selected from previous studies. The empirical analysis to find differences of KPI between small & medium construction companies and big construction companies is performed using the 4,286 construction company samples extracted by 'KIS-Value Data Base'. The results of the empirical analysis show that there are significant differences in characteristics of KPI between small & medium construction companies and big construction companies. Particularly, small & medium construction companies are relatively insufficient to invest for the purpose of preparation for future and long-term growth. Additionally, empirical tests reconfirm that most of the KPIs from previous survey studies are suitable as a performance indicators. The contribution of this study is to analyze empirically small & medium construction company's strong & weak points and the effectiveness of KPIs derived from previous studies.

CALS Implementation Policy for Information-based Management of Small and Medium Companies (중소기업의 정보화를 위한 CALS 도입 정책 방안)

  • This study aims to suggest CALS implementation strategies and policies for information-based management of small and medium companies in Korea. At the turning point from traditional document-based management to recent digital-based one, it is well known that implementation of CALS concept is crucial for advancing business management of small and medium enterprises In order to attack the aim, this paper critically analyzes the empirical difficulties and obstacles of the current information-based management of small and medium companies in Korea. On the basis of the above analysis, this paper suggests the strategic plans and policies of CALS implementation for small and medium enterprises in Korea as follows. First, government should provide the supporting policies and proper system so that the large enterprise can be linked with small and medium companies for sharing necessary information. Second, similar enterprises should be integrated on the basis of information and automation evaluation. Third, implementation strategies and plans should be advanced on the basis of the informationalized phases with respect to the technology level of small and medium enterprises. For more efficient CALS implementation, this paper also proposes the following subsidiary policies. First, it is substantially important to publicize the nation-wide spreading of CALS mind. Second, it is strongly recommended to educate and train CALS specialist on a consistant basis. Third, government should support the enterprises by providing sufficient fund for CALS implementation. Fourth, the ideal CALS implementation models for small and medium enterprises should be developed. Fifth, the consulting and training program for CALS implementation should be established through ECRC (Electronic Commerce Resource Center).   • In the surveying of small-medium companies, it is shown that understanding QC methods is onething and applying them is another. To the extent of QC activities in KS license companies and Non-KS license companies, there is considerable difference between them. As a result of surveying, some actions must be taken to make QC activities lively in small medium companies. At first QC education and training should be changed to workshop-like education. Also true positive assistance and practical help from large companies which have relations with then, it is needed to suggest directions which small medium companies promote QC activities of themselves.
