It has an important meaning that the maintenance and management of facility for a onshore construction shall be damaged by oceanic environment. A movement and displacement of these shall be investigated by up-to-date machinery tools like GPS and Lidar and MBES & Gyro. In current a lot of tools and methods for investigation shall be used as a displacement and movement on land mainly. For underwater facility it is very difficult to check because of special conditions below the water surface. In this study, a surveying methods for a movement and displacement of underwater facility as caisson shall be used, i.e. multibeam-echo-sounding system. A possibility as basic data for displacement and environmental monitoring shall be studied by MBES to acquire a caisson's inclination.
A large subtidal sand ridge (Jungang Satoe) in Asan Bay, on the west coast of Korea, was studied in order to understand the morphology and sediment transport trend in a macrotidal setting, by means of analyzing sediment samples, current data, side-scan sonographs and seismic profiles. The ridge is about 15 km long and 2-5 km wide, with a relief of about 15 m. It is elongated in the flow direction of flood (SE) and ebb (NW) tidal currents, but asymmetrical in cross section. The western and southwestern side of the ridge is characterized by relatively gentle slopes averaging 0.4$^{\circ}$, whereas on the northeastern side, relatively steep slopes were mapped with 1.6$^{\circ}$ slope angles. Tidal currents associated with the ridge are very strong; maximum surface velo-cities range from neap values of 50 cm/s to spring values of 130 cm/s. The shear velocities during flood and ebb are strong enough to erode and transport sands on the ridge. Sand waves and megaripples (dunes) are the most common bedforms produced by the tidal currents, which show regional differences in shape and size on the ridge. The distribution pattern of these bedforms in-dicates that the flood tidal currents are dominant on the offshore (northwest) side of the ridge, whereas the onsho.e (southeast) side of the ridge is ebb-dominated. The sand transport path as inferred from bedform orientations is directed toward the ridge crest on the flanks, whereas on the crest, it is near-longitudinal to the ridge axis. The convergent, upslope movement of sands on the ridge flanks appears to be important in sand ridge building and maintenance. A significant ridge migration toward the northeast can be suspected on the basis of the ridge morphology, which may cause offshore hazards for navigation.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the trail deterioration condition and to obtain the information for the desirable maintenance and restoration of trail in national parks. The results obtained from this study were summarized as follows; The physical characteristics of trail were surveyed at the total 778 point for 204.5 km in length. As a result, the average degree of trail was $14.6^{\circ}$, average trail width was 1.5m and average bared trail width was 1.1 m. Major deterioration types of trail were trail deepen (37%), root exposed, widen, diverged, rock exposed and slope erosion in order of frequency. Deterioration class of trail were that non-deterioration was 165.34 km (80.9%), heavy class was 9.08 km, middle class was 12.69 km and light class was 17.39 km and the deterioration rate was 19.1%.

Corrugated bulkhead has been adopted for cargo tank bulkheads of commercial vessels such as bulk carriers, product oil carriers and chemical tankers. It is considered that corrugated bulkhead is a preferred structural solution, compared to the flat stiffened bulkhead, due to several advantages such as lower mass, easier maintenance and smaller corrosion problems. Many researches to find the optimum shape of corrugated bulkhead have been mostly carried out for bulk carriers. Compared to corrugated bulkheads of bulk carriers, ones of chemical tankers are more complicated since they are composed of transverse and longitudinal bulkheads, and they are made of higher priced materials. The purpose of this study is the development of minimum weight design method for corrugated bulkhead of chemical tankers. Evolution strategy is applied as an optimization technique. It has been verified from many researches that evolution strategy searches global optimum point prominently by using multi-individual searching technique. Multi-individual searching methods need excessive time if they connect to 3-D finite element model for repetitive structural analyses. In order to resolve this issue, 2-D beam element connected to deck and lower stool is substituted for a corrugated structure in this study. To verify the reliability of the structural responses by idealized 2-D beam model, they have been compared with ones by 3-D finite element model. In this study, optimum design for corrugated bulkhead of 30 K chemical tanker has been carried out, and the results by developed optimum design program have been compared with design data of existing ship. It is found out that optimum design is about 9% lighter than one of existing ship.
The occurrence of ground subsidence and sinkhole in downtown areas, which threatens the safety of citizens, has been frequently reported. Among the various mechanisms of a sinkhole, soil erosion through the damaged part of the sewer pipe was found to be the main cause in Seoul. In this study, a random forest model for predicting the occurrence of sinkholes caused by damaged sewer pipes based on sewage pipe information was trained using the information on the sewage pipe and the locations of the sinkhole occurrence case in Seoul. The random forest model showed excellent performance in the prediction of sinkhole occurrence after the optimization of its hyperparameters. In addition, it was confirmed that the sewage pipe length, elevation above sea level, slope, depth of landfill, and the risk of ground subsidence were affected in the order of sewage pipe information used as input variables. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for the preparation of a sinkhole susceptibility map and the establishment of an underground cavity exploration plan and a sewage pipe maintenance plan.

In this paper, a multi-purpose golf putting range finder based on an IR razer sensor and an inertial sensor was designed and made. It was designed to measure distance and slope within a 50m outdoor measurement range for the main purpose of golf putting distance measurement, and at the same time, it is designed to measure temperature information that affects putting. In addition, the distance meter supports house maintenance work by providing length and horizontality measurement values within the indoor 80m measurement range, and provides safety from indoor or vehicle fires by providing indoor temperature measurement values to mobile phones through linkage with the web server. In order to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed method and its interworking performance with a smartphone, a prototype was produced and a web server was built, and the usefulness was confirmed by showing an acceptable error rate within 5% in repeated experiments.
In order to prevent slope disasters caused by rainfall, it is very important to quickly exclude rainfall. In Korea, horizontal drainage holes with excellent economic feasibility and construction performance are generally applied as a method to lower the underground water level. However, horizontal drainage holes constructed on the site are often uniformly constructed regardless of the presence or absence of other water or ground conditions, and it is often difficult to expect drainage performance of horizontal drainage holes due to poor maintenance. In this study, an artificial ground was created using model construction and horizontal drainage experiments were conducted to measure the amount of horizontal drainage drain in a certain amount of control area 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and an evaluation table (draft) that can quantitatively evaluate horizontal drainage based on measurements and design documents is proposed as basic data.

The purpose of this study is to classify the factors influenced on the damages of head works suffered from the storm flood occurred on July 22 1980 in both Musim and Bochong rivers and to find out an integral counter measures against the causes influenced on the disaster of head works in the engineering aspect of planning, design, construction and maintenance. In this survey, number of samples was taken 25 head Works, and the counter measures against the causes of their disasters summarized was as follows, 1. In the aspect of planning a. As the flood water level after the establishment of head works is more increased than the level before setting of head works owing to having more gentle slope of river bed between the head works than nature slope of river bed. Number of head works should be reduced for the appropriate annexation of them b. In the place where head works is established on the curved point of levee, the destruction of levee becomes severe by the strong deflective current. Therefore the setting of head works on the curved point should be kept off as long as possible and in case of unavoidable circumstances the construction method such as reinforced concrete wall or stone wall filed with concrete and anchored bank revetments should be considered. 2. In the aspect of design a. As scoring phenomena at up stream is serious around the weir Where the concentration of strong current is present in such a place, up stream apron having impermeability should be designed to resist and prevent scoring. b. As the length of apron and protected bed is too short to prevent scoring as down stream bed, the design length should be taken somewhat more than the calculated value, but in the case the calculated length becomes too long to be profitable, a device of water cushion should be considered. c. The structure of protected river bed should be improved to make stone mesh bags fixed to apron and to have vinyl mattress laid on river bed together with the improvement for increasing the stability of stone mesh bags and preventing the sucked sand from the river bed. d. As the shortage of cut-off length, especialy in case of the cutoffs conneting both shore sides of river makes the cause of destruction of embankment and weir body, the culculation of cut-off length should be taken enough length based on seepage length. 3. In the aspect of design and constructions a. The overturing destruction of weir by piping action was based on the jet water through cracks at the construction and expansion joints. therefore the expansion joint should be designed and constructed with the insertion of water proof plate and asphalt filling, and the construction joint, with concaved shape structure and steel reinforcement. b. As the wrong design and construction of the weep holes on apron will cause water piping and weir destruction, the design and construction of filter based on the rule of filter should be kept for weep holes. c. The wrong design and construction of bank revetment caused the severe destruction of levee and weir body resulting from scoring and impulse by strong current and formation of water route behind the revetment. Therefore bank revetment should be designod and constructed with stone wall filled with concrete and anchored, or reinforced concrete wall to prevent the formation of water flow route behind the wall and to resist against the scoring and impulse of strong stream. 4. In the aspect of maintenance When the damaged parts occurred at head works the authorities and farmers concerned should find and mend them as soon as possible with mutual cooperation, and on the other hand public citizen should be guided for good use of public property.
The purpose of this study was to find characteristics of $Pinus$$densiflora$ forests in previous records and cultural landscape regions and to establish a management method for recovery of $P.$$densiflora$ landscape. A total of 16 landscape paintings were analyzed to study $P.$$densiflora$ forests in Inwangsan(Mt.) shown in figure data. As a result of analyzing figure data, $P.$$densiflora$$forests$ were found to be distributed mainly in the ridge line of east slope side of Inwangsan(Mt.) from landscape paintings of Jung Seon, Jang Si Heung and Gang Hee Un. In order to analyze the landscape of $P.$$densiflora$ forests shown in photograph data on Inwangsan(Mt.), photographs of Inwangsan(Mt.) since late 1800s were searched and a total of 24 photographs were used for analysis. As a result of photographic analysis, $P.$$densiflora$ forests were found to be distributed mainly in the low area and ridge line of western slope side of Inwangsan(Mt.). As a result of analyzing the distribution status of 10 cultural heritages of Inwangsan(Mt.), cultural heritages in the mountain were mainly established with rocks and $P.$$densiflora$ forests as the background and are establishing their landscape not only as a form of cultural heritage but also including the natural landscape in the background. A method of restoring cultural landscape of P. densiflora forests was necessary. As a result of analyzing 26 rock beds of Inwangsan(Mt.), most of $P.$$densiflora$ forests were distributed nearby rock beds since the past. Among such regions, restoration and management of introduced species in the accumulated soil regions to $P.$$densiflora$ forests were deemed necessary. As a result of analyzing current vegetation of $P.$$densiflora$ forest areas of the past, 51.87% of areas maintained $P.$$densiflora$ forest and 25.80% were changed to artificial forests. Most of low areas of the mountain were turned into urban area (10.16%). Management type for restoration of $P.$$densiflora$ landscape of Inwangsan(Mt.) was classified into preservation, $P.$$densiflora$ restoration and maintenance. Preservation management was configured as $P.$$densiflora$ distribution and rocky area distribution. The targets of $P.$$densiflora$ restoration were indigenous broad-leaf trees, vegetation areas with introduced species and damaged regions within the mountain. The targets of maintenance were urban area in the low area of Inwangsan(Mt.) and military base at the top of the mountain.
Due to advances in position monitoring technologies such as global positioning systems and sensor networks, recent position information of moving objects has the form of streaming data which are updated continuously and rapidly. In this paper we propose an efficient trajectory maintenance method that stores the streaming position data of moving objects in the limited size of storage space and estimates past positions based on the stored data. For this, we first propose a new concept of incremental extraction of position information. The incremental extraction means that, whenever a new position is added into the system, we incrementally re-compute the new version of past position data maintained in the system using the current version of past position data and the newly added position. Next, based on the incremental extraction, we present an overall framework that stores position information and estimates past positions in the stream environment. We then propose two polynomial-based methods, line-based and curve-based methods, as the method of estimating the past positions on the framework. We also propose three incremental extraction methods: equi-width, slope-based, and recent-emphasis extraction methods. Experimental results show that the proposed incremental extraction provides the relatively high accuracy (error rate is less than 3%) even though we maintain only a little portion (only 0.1%) of past position information. In particular, the curve-based incremental extraction provides very low error rate of 1.5% even storing 0.1% of total position data. These results indicate that our incremental extraction methods provide an efficient framework for storing the position information of moving objects and estimating the past positions in the stream environment.
