In this paper, we describe a method of detecting emergency situation using images from surveillance cameras and propose a mobile robot tracking system for detailed examination of that situation. We are able to track a few persons and recognize their actions by an analyzing image sequences acquired from a fixed camera on all sides of buildings. When emergency situation is detected, a mobile robot moves and closely examines the place where the emergency is occurred. In order to recognize actions of a few persons using a sequence of images from surveillance cameras images, we need to track and manage a list of the regions which are regarded as human appearances. Interest regions are segmented from the background using MOG(Mixture of Gaussian) model and continuously tracked using appearance model in a single image. Then we construct a MHI(Motion History Image) for a tracked person using silhouette information of region blobs and model actions. Emergency situation is finally detected by applying these information to neural network. And we also implement mobile robot tracking technology using the distance between the person and a mobile robot.

An interest in various description of history was increased, resolutely breaking away from the existing frame also in a historical science world, under the influence of post-modernism arisen from the mid 20th century, and for this, oral history archives and oral history methodology began to attract the attention in various academia including archival science as a method for a new writing of history. Also, under the circumstance of korea having a difficulty in performing a whole reconstruction of modern age history and a liquidation of past affairs due to an absolute lack of archives, the tendency is toward more active management of oral history archives and establishing oral history archives in the context of an excavation of new archives and a reinterpretation of history, owing to the necessity in a particular situation. This article started with a critical mind regarding an absence of a collecting policy which can help an effective development of collection from a point of view of archival science, with regard to oral history archives that recently shows a rapid increase of an interest. For this, this article intended to present an new element of a collecting policy besides the study on a collecting policy performed meanwhile by an archival science world by noticing a characteristic and a collecting method of oral history archives, this can be examined largely through 'a statement of mission and collection purpose', 'a policy of collection at large', 'a definition of maintenance and use of the holdings', and 'a guide for a development of collection', and add a proposal regarding a plan to embody the parr which should be actually applied to collection of oral history archives among the existing constituents.

Traditional medical knowledge and its biological resources, including Korean Medicine, has regarded as an important object of intellectual property rights. International organizations have been discussed and implemented various treaties on how to exercise and protect the property rights of traditional medicines. In Korea, the governmental policies and the academic societies have endeavored to establish the protection method and academic foundations of Korean Medicine's intellectual properties. This study will examine the current situation of discussions in major international organizations and Korean governmental policies related to the protection of traditional medical intellectual properties. Furthermore, this paper will contemplate the possible arguments and countermeasures to protect the traditional knowledge of Korean Medicine. We hope that this study will contribute to find the reasonable and effective ways of protection of Korean Medicine's intellectual property rights.

Design history has been thought a secondary studies for design practice. Design historians have been accused of being unimaginative and unadventurous in sticking to dominant types of design such as products, furnitures and graphics. But Design history is still young subject which could be exploited in wide range and topics, and it should be thought a lot of researches could be done. Under this consciousness and circumstance, this study reviews the situation and perspective of design history studies in Korea by critical search on canonical books in the area such as Pevsner's, Banham's, Hesket's, Sparke's, and Chung's those translated into Koreans and Korean originals.

Defining key characteristics of Southeast Asia requires historical interpretation. Southeast Asia is a diverse and complicated region, but some of modern history's "grand narratives" serve to unify its historical experience. At a minimum, the modern history of the region involves decisive encounters with universal religions, the rise of Western colonialism, the experience of world wars, decolonization, and the end of the "cycle of violence". The ability of the region's peoples to adapt to these many challenges and successfully build new nations is a defining feature of Southeast Asia's place in the global stage. This paper will begin with a question: is it possible to develop a hermeneutic of "expedience" as a way to interpret the region's history? That is, rather than regard the region from a purely Western, nationalist, "internalist" point of view, it would be useful to identify a new series of interpretative contexts from which to begin scholarly analysis. In order to contextualize this discussion, the paper will draw upon the writings of figures who explored the region before knowledge about it was shaped by purely colonist or nationalist enterprises. To this end, particular attention will be devoted to exploring some of John Furnivall's ways of conceptualizing Southeast Asia. Investigating Furnivall, a critic of colonialism, will be done in relation to his historical situation. Because Furnivall's ideas have played a pivotal role in the interpretation of Southeast Asia, the paper will highlight the intellectual history of the region in order to ascertain the value of these concepts for subsequent historical interpretation. Ultimately, the task of interpreting the region's history requires a framework which will move beyond the essentializing orientalist categories produced by colonial scholarship and the reactionary nation-building narratives which followed. Instead, by beginning with a mode of historical interpretation that focuses on the many realities of expedience which have been necessary for the region's peoples, it may be possible to write a history which highlights the extraordinarily adaptive quality of Southeast Asia's populations, cultures, and nations. To tell this story, which would at once highlight key characteristics of the region while showing how they developed through historical encounters, would go a long way to capturing Southeast Asia's contribution's to global development.

Six sigma has been the most influential management innovation program in a number of leading companies and its application has extended beyond manufacturing processes for the past 10 years. However, numerous difficulties arise during the six sigma application to the various industries. In this study, the current situation of the six sigma applied to Korean companies is showed, and the issues of six sigma application in Korean companies are found. At the end, the several counter plans to overcome them. are proposed.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference in logistics information system and indirect effects of logistics performances on the acceptance level of logistics information system. The limitation and recommendation of this study were as follows : First, as the history of logistics introduction in Korean corporations is short, the level of logistics information system sampled in this study is very low. So the findings of this study is hard to represent the general logistics information system situation of in Korea our corporations. Second, the focus of this study is on the manufacturing corporations, so the study on the logistics corporations is required. And the study on the effects of firm's situation(formalization, decentralization, concentration, strategic plans) on the characteristics of logistics information system is needed.

Degree of difficulty in policy problems depends on a gap between present situation and desiriable situation. It is a international common sense that Agricultural policy is performed on the basis of protectionism, but yet it seems to be a hot issue in Korea, and there are many difficult problems in agricultural policies. Natural of these problems is interdependent. and a more efficient approach to these is to be systematic one. Therefore, in this paper, as a basic study to make more desirable agricultural policy, a basic structure for the systemization of goals or targets of Agricultural policy is studied. Because value judgement is much difficult matter in normative approach, basic goals of agricultural policy used in this study are selected among collective preference indicators which "are being required" or "should be required" clearly in our society (Korea), and the context of recent agricultural policies history in OCED countries is referenced to gain this goals in Agricultural policies.

The food life of Korean people during the establishment of Republic of Korea and the Korean war was reviewed. After liberation in 1945, the division of South and North Korea, the establishment of the governments, and the ensuing Korean War made Korean society extremely chaotic and transformed. Consequently, data on Korean dietary life during this period (1945-1960) are scarce and unreliable. The author tried to reveal the food situation and health and nutritional status of Koreans during this period by examining the data released by the US National Archives and other review books. Regarding the nascent period of the food industry after the Korean War, data from the recent 50-year history of the Korea Food Industry Association has been compiled.

'Hanok(韓屋)' is the settlement that our ancestors completed for our lives through multiple verifications. Thus, there exists our nation's identity and a variety of tangible and intangible cultural elements are included in that settlement. Even though the dwelling planning of Hanok has been introduced by the modern trends of traditional style, it can not present the type of various space compositions according to the area and living characteristics and it shows a disparity in our real life through the introduction of the traditional Hanok's elements which are not fit into contemporary housing without filtration. To solve these problems, it must need to study on cases based on the present situation of the Hanok and analysis on characteristics. For the Hanok to meet the development of modern residence, there needs to study on many fields such as plan, complex, structure, material. Among them, this study intends to present the preliminary data for the improvement of Hanok's effectiveness by understanding and analyzing the current situation focusing on the natural transformation of Hanok which are currently building in Milyang Area. Also, as the second step of this study, this study attempts to analyze based on the present situation of New Hanok in Kyeongnam province by expanding the range.
