두루미류 취식지역의 공간적 분포 및 서식밀도와 잠자리, 도로, 인가지역과의 관계 (Spatial Distribution of Feeding Site and the Relationship between Density and Environmental Factors(Roosting Site, Road and Residence) of Cranes in Cheorwon Basin, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 두루미류의 공간적 분포 양상을 확인하고, 환경요인(잠자리, 도로, 인가)의 영향범위와 영향력을 평가한 것이다. 조사는 2007년 1월에서 2월까지 4회에 걸쳐 철원지역 두루미류의 분포를 거리측정기와 GPS를 이용하여 수집하였다. 두루미류의 서식이 가능한 것으로 조사된 지역은 총 $76.9km^2$였으며, 두루미 Grus japonensis 와 재두루미 Grus vipio 555개 무리의 분포위치를 수집한 후 환경요인과의 거리별 밀도를 분석하였다. 두루미류의 취식분포는 특정지역에 밀집한 분포를 보였으며, 인근지역에서 취식하는 두루미류 취식무리 간의 개체수는 공간적자기상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 두루미류의 취식무리수 밀도는 잠자리와의 거리에 따라 상관이 없었다. 하지만, 포장도로와 인가지역은 가까울수록 서식밀도가 낮은 경향을 보였다. 포장도로의 경우 1,500m 에서 밀도 변곡점을 보였으며, 인가지역으로 부터 취식밀도는 1,750m 에서 밀도 변곡점을 보였다. 잠자리와 취식지간의 거리별 밀도변화는 취식무리수 밀도에서만 확인할 수 없었다. 포장도로와의 거리가 멀어짐에 따라 두 종의 취식무리수 밀도는 증가하지 않았으나, 개체수밀도는 유의하게 증가하는 양상을 보였다. 인가와의 거리가 늘어남에 따라 두루미와 재두루미 모두 취식무리 밀도와 개체수밀도 모두에서 유의한 증가양상을 나타내었다. 잠자리와의 거리가 멀어질수록, 두루미는 취식무리 밀도와 개체수밀도가 모두 감소하는 경향을 보였으나 재두루미의 경우 증감의 경향을 보이지 않았다.

  • In the companion paper (I - Database and Site Response Analyses), site-specific response analyses were performed at more than 300 domestic sites. In this study, a new site classification system and design response spectra are proposed using results of the site-specific response analyses. Depth to bedrock (H) and average shear wave velocity of soil above the bedrock ($V_{S,Soil}$) were adopted as parameters to classify the sites into sub-categories because these two factors mostly affect site amplification, especially for shallow bedrock region. The 20 m of depth to bedrock was selected as the initial parameter for site classification based on the trend of site coefficients obtained from the site-specific response analyses. The sites having less than 20 m of depth to bedrock (H1 sites) are sub-divided into two site classes using 260 m/s of $V_{S,Soil}$ while the sites having greater than 20 m of depth to bedrock (H2 sites) are sub-divided into two site classes at $V_{S,Soil}$ equal to 180 m/s. The integration interval of 0.4 ~ 1.5 sec period range was adopted to calculate the long-period site coefficients ($F_v$) for reflecting the amplification characteristics of Korean geological condition. In addition, the frequency distribution of depth to bedrock reported for Korean sites was also considered in calculating the site coefficients for H2 sites to incorporate sites having greater than 30 m of depth to bedrock. The relationships between the site coefficients and rock shaking intensity were proposed and then subsequently compared with the site coefficients of similar site classes suggested in other codes.

  • On site, In situ soil remediation technologies are very important among the remediation technologies and in general efficiency of these technologies are turned to site characterization and environmental condition. specially using of only one technology has so many limitation factors. for example, existing state of tailing and channeling and so on. actually, filled land have high concentration cation exchange capacity because of existence in abundance soil organic matter. Therefore we used various on site in Situ technologies by phase for overcome the limitation factors. Target site is petroleum (diesel) impacted filled land and using technologies are SVE(Soil Vapor Extraction), BV(Bioventing), Bioremediation, Soil flushing, Chemical oxidation.

국가별 재생에너지 계획입지제도 절차별 우선순위 및 평가요소 비교 분석 (A Comparative Analysis of the Priority and Evaluation Factors of the Renewable Energy Plan Site by Country)

  • This study compared and analyzed major policies and operational processes of countries that introduced the Renewable Energy Plan Site, through literature analysis of published governmet data, and previous research results. The procedures of the Renewable Energy Plan Site were classified into planned location designations, selection of power generation business operators, designation of the business' district and development and evaluating the factors derived for each procedure. Four contries were selected to be compared and analyzed, namely: Denmark, Germany, the United Kingdom and Japan. This was based on the criteria used to introduce and operate the Renewable Energy Plan Site, activate renewable energy supply and check the applicability of Korea's policies. It was analyzed that the priority of the planned location for the procedure was different for each country depending on the conditions there.

아파트단지내 조경용 교목의 입지조건별 생장특성 (The Growth Patterns of Major Landscaping Trees by Site Conditions in Two Apartment Complexes)

  • A site survey in two apartment complexes and a nursery experiment were carried out in this study to provide basic data of the long-pending growth characteristics of major landscaping trees, such as Picea abies, Pinus parviflora, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Magnolia denudata, Acer buergerianum and Acer palmatum. According to the main results, the survival rates were very low, reflected by the average survival rate of the four species was 95% at the nursery site. And, it was presumed that the site conditions of two apartment complexes for tree growth were very inferior to those of the nursery site, taking into consideration that the increment percents of growth factors of the tree species at the nursery site were relatively higher than those of the apartment complexes. The distribution patterns of the current growth factors of trees showed a normal distribution. The regression equation of breast diameter on diameter at root collar showed especially high predictability. And, it was thought that the most critical limiting environmental factors on tree growth at the apartment complexes were found to be alkaline pH caused by excessive Ca, high percent base saturation, insufficiency of available moisture content, bad drainage due to inferior soil texture, high soil hardness, lack of organic matter and shortage of cation exchange capacity in soil.

  • A GIS application for assessment of carrying capacity for national parks was developed and presented in this study. Three criteria--ecological factors, facilities, and institutions--were employed as determining factors for assessing the carrying capacity. Using the GIS-based approach, the site-specific carrying capacity for the Chi-Ri National Park was assessed and a carrying capacity map was prepared. This carrying capacity map can be helpful in making policies for decentralizing visitors and keeping the park environmentally stable.

부지 오염도 평가시 불확실성 정량화 및 저감방안 (Quantification of Uncertainty Associated with Environmental Site Assessments and Its Reduction Approaches)

  • Uncertainty associated with a sampling method is very high in evaluating the degree of site contamination; therefore, such uncertainty affects the reliability of precise investigation and remediation verification. In particular, in evaluating a site for a small-sized filling station, underground utilities, such as connection pipes and oil storage tanks, make grid-unit sampling impossible and the resulting increase in uncertainty is inevitable. Accordingly, this study quantified the uncertainty related to the evaluation of the degree of contamination by total petroleum hydrocarbon and by benzene, toluene, ethylene, and xylene. When planning a grid aimed at detecting a hot spot, major factors that influence the increase in uncertainty include grid interval and the size and shape of the hot spot. The current guideline for soil sampling prescribes that the grid interval increase in proportion to the area of the evaluated site, but this heightens the possibility that a hot spot will not be detected. In evaluating a site, therefore, it is crucial to estimate the size and shape of the hot spot in advance and to establish a sampling plan considering a diversity of scenarios.

유류오염지역 정화를 위한 토양경작법 설계 표준화방안 (A Case Study of Landfarming Design Procedures for Remediation of Oil-contaminated Site)

  • 본 연구는 유류오염토양 정화를 위해 널리 사용되는 토양경작법의 표준 설계방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 표준설계방안은 토양특성 파악 및 오염부피 산정, 영양분 및 미생물 투입량 결정, 분해속도 실증실험을 통한 정화기간 산정 등으로 크게 구분하여 진행할 것을 제안한다. 그리고 그동안 설계자간 다양하게 사용되고 있는 오염토양 부피 산정절차, 오염토양 대표 초기농도결정 방법, C : N : P 영양염류 투입량 결정방법 등에 대한 표준화 방안을 제시하였다. 시범지역에 대한 토양특성 및 오염부피를 산정한 결과 유류오염지역의 토성은 사질 식양토와 사양토로 분류되었으며, 총질소 농도는 57.01 mg/kg, 총인은 83.40 mg/kg, 유류분해미생물은 $1.78{\times}10^4$ (CFU/g dry soil), 정화대상 토량은 $4,092m^3$으로 산정되었다. 시범적용지역의 모든 오염토양을 토양경작장(15 m(가로) ${\times}$ 40 m(세로)에서 1 m 높이로 적치하여 정화할 경우 약 9배치로 처리가 가능한 것으로 평가되었다. 오염토양 1배치의 처리기간은 35일이 소요될 것으로 판단되며, 대상 지역의 모든 오염토양은 토양경작법으로 처리하는 경우 총 315일이 소요될 것으로 예상된다. 오염토양의 정화를 위해 필요한 미생물제제의 양은 4,025 L이며, 요소비료는 총 4,642 kg가 소요될 것으로 판단된다.

인천 송도4공구 공동주택 외부공간 조성계획 (Landscape Design for the Song-Do Apartment Complex Development)

  • In 2004, the Incheon Urban Development Corporation held a design competition for the Song-Do apartment complex development. Several projects that won the prize in the recent design competitions were reviewed to look around the current design tendency, and current conditions of the site were surveyed. The authors tried to combine digital and environment-friendly factors, considering the site condition. Because the site is on reclaimed land and is located at the center of the information-technology industrial area, these two factors inform the main concept of this project. The site was divided into two different zones : the Ocean Zone and the Digital Zone. The 'community spaces'(community street, community plaza and so on) were designed for the various activities of the residents. The Patios, 'private' community spaces, included many facilities for play, appreciation, rest, exercise, refreshment and gathering. To avoid common landscape styles in the patios, simple and minimal forms were designed. The environmental sculptures were carefully planned, allocated and shaped with digital technology, based on the 'Present and Future of Song-Do'. The authors also tried to introduce environment-friendly factors, such as the green roof system, wall planting, and the water recycling system. This project is following the M.A. (Master Architect) process, and is still being modified to make the hi-tech and environment-friendly apartment complex.
