Purpose : The purpose of this study was to analyse early childhood teachers' perspectives and actual conditions of earthquakes and tsunami safety education. Methods : A total of 119 teachers were recruited from kindergarten and child-care center located in J city, all of whom gave consent to take part in these research. The data have been collected for 45 days from May to July in 2011. The data was analyzed by SPSS (version 17.0) and chi-square test. Results : The results of this study are summarized as follow. 1. 97.5% of the subjects considered earthquakes and tsunami safety education necessary, however, only 34.6% of them were given the education related to earthquakes and tsunami. 2. 63.9% of the early childhood teachers provided children in the kindergarten or childhood center with earthquakes and tsunami safety education, however, 30.3% of them were found to be without any experiences of earthquakes and tsunami safety education. 3. 68.5% of the teachers were informed earthquakes and tsunami safety knowledge. 4. 35.0% of respondents answered that the single session of earthquake and tsunami education was not efficient, thus expecting to receive continuing education. Conclusions : The study suggested that more teachers necessarily provide earthquake and tsunami safety education to reduce children's mortality rate in earthquakes and tsunami. The education program should be developed and systematized to improve teacher's knowledge. Moreover, the program should be continuously provided to teachers and children in the kindergarten or childhood center.

In this study, messages from on-line discussions of 28 preservice teachers were analyzed based on social constructivist learning theory. After preliminary discussion session for a week, small group discussions were conducted every single week with different topics during 4 weeks. One transcript with most frequent messages in each topic was selected, and a total of 72 messages were analyzed. Discussion topics were the issues related to the nature of science. The Interaction Analysis Model for Examing Social Construction of Knowledge in Computer Conferencing was used for the analysis. Analysis of the messages indicated that 'sharing information' was the most frequent, and that 'discovering/exploring dissonance' and 'negotiation of meaning/co-construction of knowledge' were the nex. However, messages of 'testing and modification of proposed synthesis' and 'testing and application of newly constructed meaning' were found to be rare. This result indicated that students' interaction through on-line discussion did not reach to the social construction of knowledge.

Objectives : We investigated the effects of Mahuang-Chuanwu Pharmacopuncture Treatment in Obese Patients by analysing Body mass index(BMI), waist measurement and weight. Methods : We investigated on 52 volunteers consisted of 24 subjects in experiment(Mahuang-Chuanwu Pharmacopuncture) group and 28 subjects in control(Normal Saline) group. The Study form was a single-blind and placebo-controlled clinical trial. 24 subjects in experiment group were injected Mahuang-Chuanwu Pharmacopuncture with additional common treatment and 28 subjects in control group were injected Normal Saline with additional common treatment with Dietic Theraphy and Exercise. We measured BMI, waist measurement and weight on 3 times : before 1st session, after first 5 sessions, and after 10 sessions. The SPSS 13.0 for Windows was used to analyze the data and the wilcoxon signed ranks test (in group), mann Whitney u t-test(between two groups) and ${\chi}^2$-test(description of number) were used to verify the result. Results : In experiment group. BMI, waist measurement and weight were significantly low at the period of after first 5 sessions and after 10 sessions. In control group, BMI, waist measurement and weight were significantly low at the period of after 10 sessions but weren't significantly low at the period of after first 5 sessions. The changes of BMI, waist measurement and weight in experiment group were significantly more than that in control group. Conclusions : The Results suggest that Mahuang(Ephedra sinica Stapf)-Chuanwu(Aconitum carmichaeli Debx) Pharmacopuncture is effective on the treatment of obesity, compared to Normal Saline.
This paper proposes a L3 handover method to minimize packet loss for supporting service continuity to IMS Terminal which has a single WLAN interface. The existing IMS based handover solution is able to support handover between different access networks in case that a terminal has multiple interfaces. That is, WLAN terminals need multiple interfaces to connect with one or more access networks. This proposed method configures IP address for the terminal in target WLAN previously by using Candidate Access Router Discovery(CARD) mechanism. Also, in the proposed method, service continuity server performs L3 connection establishment in target WLAN and registration to IMS server instead of the terminal. And then session control mechanism based on SIP is performed to support service continuity. We analyzed handover latency and signaling cost in the proposed method and existing method to show the improved performance by the proposed method.

Purpose : To investigate the immediate effects of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS) on the spasticity and the balance in the stroke patients. Methods : 26 subjects with spasticity over lower limbs were allocated randomly into two groups : (1) TENS group, (2) placebo-TENS group. TENS was applied on the both gastrocnemius for 60 minutes(100 Hz, 0.25 ms, 2 times sensory threshold). The modified Ashworth Scale(MAS) and Manual Muscle Tester were used to assess the spasticity of the ankle plantar flexors. Static balance under three conditions was measured by force-plate; in (1) the condition of standing with eyes opened, (2) with eyes closed and (3) the condition of standing on unstable surface with eyes opened. Results : When compared with the pre and post TENS application, TENS showed significant reduction of ankle spasticity in MAS and MMT measurement. Also, Application of high-frequency TENS improved the balance under three conditions. Conclusion : A single session of TENS to stroke patients could reduce spasticity and improve the balance.

PURPOSE: This study was to identify the effect of a coordinative locomotor training (CLT) programs on lower extremity strength, balance, and quality of life of a cancer patients. METHODS: Subjects were instructed in CLT programs. The CLT programs consisted of sprinter and skater pattern movements performed for 30 minute three day per week for two weeks. CLT programs performed the arms and legs alternately and step up the steps on the stairs. The timed sit to stand test (TSTS) and one leg standing test (OLST) were used to test lower extremity strength. The star excursion balance test (SEBT) was used to measure balance; and the functional assessment of cancer therapy - general (FACT-G) for measuring the quality of life throughout the sessions. RESULTS: Participants showed enhanced strength compared to first baseline, as measured by TSTS (14.58%). Balance was improved compared to the first baseline as measure by OLST with open eyes (30.3%), OLST with closed eyes (114.81%), SEBT (43.76%). The increase of strength and balance were maintained in a second baseline session. There was no change for quality of life between first baseline and intervention period. CONCLUSION: These findings indicate that the CLT program is a useful exercise program that can help improve the physical activity of cancer patients who have a reluctance to move by positively affecting cancer patients' balance and leg strength.
This study is a clinical single case study of the application of Theraplay approach for the treatment of children with eating disorder based on Polyvagal Theory. The first research question is how children with eating disorder change through Theraplay. The second research question is to analyze what the therapeutic factors are for changes in children with eating disorder. To do this, I used a qualitative case study method that explores a small number of cases closely and reveals the case deeply. As a result, the client has a sense of security in Theraplay session, expands the window of tolerance and develops a social engagement system. Through these, client become increasingly adaptable and overcome eating disorder. The results of this study can contribute to neuroscience validation of the counseling effect.
In the self-healing group key distribution scheme, users are capable of recovering lost group keys on their own without requesting additional transmission from the group manager, where there is no reliable network infrastructure. In this paper, we propose a new self-healing group key distribution scheme with revocation capability, which is optimal in terms of user memory storage and more efficient in terms of communication complexity than the previous results. We obtain a slightly improved result from (13) and (14) by using the new broadcasting method. In addition, we prove that our scheme has the properties of t-wise forward secrecy and t-wise backward secrecy, and extend this self-healing approach to the session key recovery scheme from a single broadcast message.

In this paper, we have proposed the QoS (quality of services) control scheme which can adjust data transfer rates of the session participants in response to their radio channel conditions under the time-varying propagation radio environment. The outage probability is selected as the performance index in order to compare the performance of the proposed scheme with the conventional QoS control scheme. The outage probability of the single and multiple paths is mathematically derived here and its numerical results are investigated. The results show that the significant performance improvement can be obtained compared with the conventional scheme and also the diversity gain can improve the radio link outage as the degrees of the multipath diversity increases. Therefore the overall performance improvement in terms of the QoS of the outage probability can be significantly be achieved by applying the proposed scheme.
The purpose of this study was to assess the clinical and microbiological effect of chlorhexidine rinse following scaling and root planing on periodontits. 10 patients with periodontal disease were selected for the study. They had not taken antibiotics for months and no history of dental treatment for 6 months before the study. They were good in general health. Patients received a scaling and root planing under local infiltration anesthesia, chlorhexidine rise group were subjected to twice a day 0.1% chlorhexidine rinse for a period 2 week. After initial clinical(plaque index, gingival index, probing pocket depth), microbiological and BANA tests were determined, each subject received a single session of scaling and root planing but no oral hygiene instructions. Clinical indices were measured, microbial parameters and BANA test were reassessed 1, 2 and 4 weeks after treatment. The results were as follows : 1. Plaque index, gingival index and pocket depth in chlorhexidine rinse group and control group were not significantly reduce during all weeks when compared chlorhexidine rinse group with control groups. Plaque index in chlorhexidine rinse group and control group were siginificantly reduced at 1, 2, 4weeks(P<0.05), gingival index and pocket depth wee ignificantly reduced at 2, 4weeks in both groups(P<0.05). 2. Perecntage of cocci and motile rods was significantly changed at 1, 2, 4weeks in chlorhexidine rinse group(P<0.05), control group was significantly changed at 4weeks in control group(P<0.05), intergroup difference was significantly at 2weeks in cocci and 4weeks in motile rods(P<0.05). 3. Percentage of non-motile rods in all group were not significantly changed when compared with those of baseline. 4. Percentage of spirochetes was significantly reduced at 4 week(P<0.05), control group was not significantly reduced during all weeks. 5. BANA test scores was significantly reduced during all weeks in chlorhexidine rinse group(P<0.05), control group was not significantly reduced during all weeks. The result showed that clinical and microbiological effect following scaling, root palning and chlorhexidine on periodontal disease.
