비대칭성이 고려된 나선형 시험 모델을 통한 손상 수상함의 직진 안정성 추정 (Estimation of Straight Line Stability of a Damaged Surface Combatant through Spiral Maneuver Test Model Considering Asymmetry)

  • In this paper, we estimated the straight line stability by performing a 3 degree of freedom spiral test simulation of a intact/damaged surface combatant using the hydrodynamic coefficient obtained through the PMM(Planar motion mechanism) test based on system engineering process. A model ship was ONR Tumblehome and damaged compartment was set on the starboard bow. As a result of conducting a spiral test simulation based on the experimental results of J.Ha (2018), the asymmetric straight line stability due to the damaged compartment was confirmed. In the case of a ship in which the starboard bow was damaged, it was confirmed that it had the characteristic to deflect to the left when going straight. Also, when estimating the straight line stability of a both port and starboard asymmetric surface combatant, a separated equation of motion model that sees the port and starboard as different ships seems suitable.

  • 핵연료 연소시험 도중 핵연료봉에서 발생하는 열을 효과적으로 제거하기 위해서는 핵연료의 발열량을 정확하게 계산하고 충분한 유속을 갖는 냉각수를 순환시켜야 한다. 하나로는 개방형 수조 형태로서 핵연료 연소시험을 위한 별도의 냉각수 순환 루프를 갖추고 있는데, 여기에 핵연료 조사리그를 장착하고 냉각수를 순환시킴으로써 조사중인 핵연료봉의 온도를 일정온도 이하로 유지시킨다. 특히 순환되는 냉각수의 유속이 매우 높은 상태에서 조사리그 내에 부착된 부품이나 센서들이 유체유발 진동에 의해 파손되거나 기능을 상실하는 경우 매우 큰 기회비용을 야기한다. 본 연구에서는 조사리그 부품의 건전성 사전 검토 및 고속 유동에서의 센서 동작 특성에 대한 사전검토를 위해 냉각수 모의 순환장치를 개발하였다.

일배체형에 기초한 연쇄분석의 통계학적 알고리즘 연구 (Statistical Algorithm in Genetic Linkage Based on Haplotypes)

  • Objectives : This study was conducted to propose a new transmission/disequilibrium test(TDT) to test the linkage between genetic markers and disease-susceptibility genes based on haplotypes. Simulation studies were performed to compare the proposed method with that of Zhao et al. in terms of type I error probability and powers. Methods : We estimated the haplotype frequencies using the expectation-maximization(EM) algorithm with parents genotypes taken from a trio dataset, and then constructed a two-way contingency table containing estimated frequencies to all possible pairs of parents haplotypes. We proposed a score test based on differences between column marginals and their corresponding row marginals. The test also involved a covariance structure of marginal differences and their variances. In simulation, we considered a coalescent model with three genetic markers of biallele to investigate the performance of the proposed test under six different configurations. Results : The haplotype-based TDT statistics, our test and Zhao et al.'s test satisfied a type I error probability, but the TDT test based on single locus showed a conservative trend. As expected, the tests based on haplotypes also had better powers than those based on single locus. Our test and that of Zhao et al. were comparable in powers. Conclusion : We proposed a TDT statistic based on haplotypes and showed through simulations that our test was more powerful than the single locus-based test. We will extend our method to multiplex data with affected and/or unaffected sibling(s) or simplex data having only one parent s genotype.

  • In this study, we propose a simultaneous test procedure based on the individual - values for each sub-null hypothesis with several well-known combining functions. We then compare the efficiency of our procedure with existing tests by obtaining empirical powers through a simulation study. Finally, we discuss some interesting features related to simultaneous test and point out a misconduct for the simulation study published in the previous work.

On Combination of Several Weighted Logrank Tests

  • We consider a class of the weighted logrank tests and 4 types of weights in this class. We propese a test based on the maximum of 4 weighted logrank statistics and suggest a simulation techniqur to obtain the p-value of proposed test. It is shown through the simulation studies that the proposed test is robust and has reasonably good powers comparing with the well known efficient tests.

  • The Multiple Recursive Generator(MRG) has been considered by many scholars as a very good random number generator. For the long period md excellent statistical properties, the method of the combination with random number generators is used. In this paper, we thought the two-combined MRGs. Using the frequency and serial test, and runs test, we studied the importance of the initial seeds likewise other random number generators.

  • This Paper describes the evaluation methods and criteria used to verify running Performance of railway vehicle, and shows results of vehicle dynamics simulation and running performance tests for New Mugunghwa Coaches that were designed and manufactured by DHI in 1997. Through running performance test of New Mugunghwa Coaches, Vibration, Ride Comfort were measured on the condition of service operation. As a results, each simulation and test results meet the criteria proposed by Korean National Railroad(KNR) and Korea Railroad Research Institute(KRRI).

  • This paper presents dynamic modeling and simulation of induction motors. Equivalent circuit parameters measured by do test, no-load test and locked-rotor test were used as the input data for computer simulation. Operating characteristics of an induction motor were predicted by Matlab/simulink when changing load torque, opening and reclosing of phase a of the stator and three-phase fault at machine terminals.

  • Sled test id widely used to evaluate the performance of occupant's safety system in frontal crash environment without having to conduct a full-scale crash test. Steel bar breaking system is used to generate deceleration profile which is experienced by passengers in frontal crash. In this study, deformation analyses of steel bars were conducted using a commercial FE code. Several guidelines were proposed to improve the accuracy of simulation.
