한국어와 일본어 단모음의 유사성 분석을 위한 실험음성학적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Degree of Phonetic Similarity between Korean and Japanese Vowels)

  • This study aims at exploring the degree of phonetic similarity between Korean and Japanese vowels in terms of acoustic features by performing the speech production test on Korean speakers and Japanese speakers. For this purpose, the speech of 16 Japanese speakers for Japanese speech data, and the speech of 16 Korean speakers for Korean speech data were utilized. The findings in assessing the degree of the similarity of the 7 nearest equivalents of the Korean and Japanese vowels are as follows: First, Korean /i/ and /e/ turned out to display no significant differences in terms of F1 and F2 with their counterparts, Japanese /i/ and /e/, and the distribution of F1 and F2 of Korean /i/ and /e/ in the distributional map completely overlapped with Japanese /i/ and /e/. Accordingly, Korean /i/ and /e/ were believed to be "identical." Second, Korean /a/, /o/, and /i/ displayed a significant difference in either F1 or F2, but showed a great similarity in distribution of F1 and F2 with Japanese /a/, /o/, and /m/ respectively. Korean /a/ /o/, and /i/, therefore, were categorized as very similar to Japanese vowels. Third, Korean /u/, which has the counterpart /m/ in Japanese, showed a significant difference in both F1 and F2, and only half of the distribution overlapped. Thus, Korean /u/ was analyzed as being a moderately similar vowel to Japanese vowels. Fourth, Korean /${\wedge}$/ did not have a close counterpart in Japanese, and was classified as "the least similar vowel."

청각 기억 게임을 위한 리듬 유사도 측정 기술 (Measurement of Rhythmic Similarity for Auditory Memory Game)

  • 본 논문에서는 청각 기억 게임을 위하여 두 개의 소리 파형을 비교하여 파형의 리듬 유사도를 정량적으로 측정하는 기술을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 두 입력 파형에 대하여 에너지 변화, 에너지 피크의 지속 시간, 음색 등을 분석하여 각 파형에 포함된 비트 위치를 검출하고, 두 파형의 템포 차이와 비트 수의 차이를 보상하는 과정을 통하여 두 파형의 리듬 벡터를 각각 정의한다. 다음, 두 리듬 벡터 사이의 차이와 비트 수의 차이를 적용하여 두 입력 파형의 리듬 유사도를 정량적으로 표현하는 식을 정의한다. 제안한 방법으로 측정한 리듬 유사도와 주관적 청취 평가로 측정한 리듬 유사도를 비교하였으며, 두 방법에 의한 리듬 유사도가 상관도 0.86을 가지는 것을 확인하였다.

글꼴 유사도 판단을 위한 한글 형태소의 글자 크기별 영향력 검증 및 분석 (Verification and Analysis of the Influence of Hangul Stroke Elements by Character Size for Font Similarity)

  • Recently, research using image-based deep learning is being conducted to determine similar fonts or recommend fonts. In order to increase the accuracy in judging the similarity of Hangul fonts, a previous study was conducted to calculate the similarity according to the combination of stroke elements. In this study, we tried to solve this problem by designing an integrated model that reflects the weights for each stroke element. By comparing the results of the user's font similarity calculation conducted in the previous study and the weighted model, it was confirmed that there was no difference in the ranking of the influence of the stroke elements. However, as a result of comparison by letter sizes, it was confirmed that there was a difference in the ranking of the influence of stroke elements. Accordingly, we proposed a weighted model set separately for each font size.

동작 시 신축성 소재 팬츠의 가상착의 재현 (Reproducibility of virtual pants fit applied with the stretchable fabric and movements)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify how similar the virtual fit pants are to the actual fit of stretchable pants. Data is produced using a virtual model to apply movements. The results show that in the upright position, the similarity between the appearance of the actual fit and the virtual fit is high. Results are 4.47, 4.13 and 4.33 out of 5 on the front, side, and back, respectively. The base line of the front and back, and the amount of allowance in each part were well reproduced by the model. The texture of the virtual fit was evaluated and found to be similar to the actual fabric. In terms of shape and number of wrinkles with the virtual fit pants, large wrinkles were better expressed than fine wrinkles. After applying movements to the virtual model, the front and side results were similar to the actual fit, but the back results were different. As a result of multiple comparisons, the greatest difference in similarity by movements is found in the center front line. The similarity difference was lower on the side than on the front. The only significant difference after applying movements is in the hip circumference margin. According to movements, the similarity of virtual fit is lower on the back than on the front and side, and the back also has the largest similarity differences to the movements type.

이미지 유사도를 이용한 와인라벨 인식 시스템 (Wine Label Recognition System using Image Similarity)

  • 최근 휴대폰 카메라로 촬영한 영상을 입력으로 사용하는 시스템에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 와인라벨의 문자를 인식한 후, 데이터베이스내의 와인이미지들 중에서 입력 와인라벨 이미지와 유사한 순서대로 사용자에게 보여주는 시스템을 제안한다. 이미지의 유사도 계산을 위해 본 논문에서는 이미지의 각 영역별 대표색상, 텍스트 영역의 텍스트 색상과 배경색상, 그리고 특징점의 분포를 특징으로 사용한다. 이미지의 색상차를 계산하기 위해 RGB색상을 CIE-Lab색상으로 변환하여 사용하고, 특징점은 해리스코너 검출 알고리즘을 사용하여 추출한다. 각 셀의 대표 색상차와 텍스트 색상차 및 배경 색상차는 가중치를 적용하여 색상차 유사도를 계산하고 색상차 유사도와 특징점 분포 유사도를 정규화하여 최종 이미지 유사도를 구한다. 본 논문에서는 입력 이미지와 데이터베이스내의 이미지 간의 유사도를 계산하여 유사도 순으로 사용자에게 검색 결과를 보여줌으로써 검색 결과로부터 다시 최대 유사 와인라벨을 수동으로 찾는 노력을 줄일 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 잡음이 존재하는 전송 선로를 통해 전송된 영상의 손실 블록에 대해 방향성 복구 방법을 제안한다. 손실된 DCT 계수나 화소값들은 손실된 블록 주위의 마주보는 블록 간 DC값 차이(DDC:Difference of DC)와 AC계수의 유사성(SAC: Similarity of AC)으로 구성된 방향성 척도에 의해 적응적으로 선택되어진 이웃 블록들을 이용해서 선형 보간법으로 복구된다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방향성 복구 방법은 고정된 이웃 블록을 이용하지 않고 국부 영상 내의 방향성 정보에 따라 적응적으로 변하는 이웃 블록들이 사용하기 때문에 강한 에지 성분이나 텍스쳐 영역에 대해서 효과적이다. 본 논문에서는 DDC와 SAC로 구성된 새로운 방향성 척도(CDS: Combination of DDC and SAC)를 구하고 그 방향성 척도를 통해 국부 영역의 특성에 따라 손실된 블록을 복구하기 위한 블록들을 선택한다. 모의실험에서 제안 방법은 기존의 방법보다 평균적으로 약 0.6dB의 PSNR 개선을 보였다.

Background Initialization by Spatiotemporal Similarity

  • A background initialization algorithm based on the spatiotemporal similarity measure in a motion tracking system is proposed. From the accumulated difference between the base frame and the other frames in a subinterval, the regions affected by moving objects are located. The median is applied over the subsequence in the subinterval in which co-located regions share the similarity. The outputs from each subinterval are filtered by second stage median filter. The proposed method showed good results even in the busy and crowded sequences where the real background does not exit.

  • In this thesis we concerned with the degree of similarity in pairs of scores having a common mean and variance could express similarity in terms of the absolute difference between the standardized scores. We particulary discussed the distribution of absolute differences between pairs of T scores among many standardized scores and demonstrated the procedures for calculating the lower limit of Med(│d│) values i. e. the maximum possible similarity with medians and correlation coefficients of the equivalent form tests by using the folded normal distribution, although other researchers expressed the degree of similarity using only the standard normal distribution. We also described many cases how to use those techniques and to apply effectively them in real evaluation fields.

한.일 전통극의 색채문화 비교 (The Comparison of Cultural Color in Traditional Performance of Korea and Japan)

  • The purpose of this study is to research the similarity and difference of color application in the culture of Korea and Japan. The subject of this research is the costume color of Changgeuk and Kabuki. This survey analyzes Munsell's 3 attributes(Hue, Value, Chroma), tone, and 3D color analysis by extracted color data. And representative color according to Obangsaek is proposed. The results of this study are as follows: 1. High chroma red in Kabuki costume is more used as symbolic color(passion and luxurious) in order to show character's personality than that in Changguek costume. 2. Low chroma YR color(no-dyeing color) in Changgeuk costume much more used because of Korean white robe preference and eco-friendly thinking. But high chroma yellow is restrictive color for symbolic color of emperor in Korea and Japan. 3. Blue is most frequently used in both costumes because blue is encouraging color by the theory of exponents of the five elements doctrine. 4. White in Korean Changguek costume is more used for white robe preference thinking, but black in Kabuki costume is much more used for symbol of power in Japan. The similarity of Korean and Japanese cultural color is to use much Obangsaek, less Ogansaek by the theory of exponents of the five elements doctrine, but the difference of Korean and Japanese cultural color is to use color differently according to preference thinking system.

비만관 상태의 원형관로에서 수위에 따른 속도분포의 상사성 (A Similarity of the Velocity Profiles According to Water Depth in Partially Filled Circular Pipe Flows)

  • Contrary to the flow rate in fully filled pipe flows, the flow rate in partially filled pipe flows is significantly influenced by the variation of water level, channel slop, and so on. The major difference in these two flows results from the existence of a free surface. To make it clear, in the present study, a similarity of the velocity profile in a partially filled circular pipe has been investigated according to the water level. A particle image velocimetry (PIV) technique was applied to measure the three-dimensional velocity profiles. As a result, there is found a similarity of the velocity profile near the central region. However, near the side wall, the similarity is broken due to the interaction between the wall and the free surface.
