  • PET POY(pre-oriented-yam) were treated by false twister to high bulky. False twister have many processing parameters velocity ratio(VR), belt cross angle$(\theta)$, 1st heater temp. and K(twisting tension/untwisting tension). we analyzed the effect of properties of textured polyester yam on processing condition. Initial modulus, thermal stress, No. of snarl is decreased by 1st heater. In VR=1.97, Dry and wet shrinkage is increased but is decreased by 1st heater in VR=1.564. K/S and cristallinity tend to increase by decreasing VR.

  • This paper is a fundamental study on the mechanical properties of the high performance concrete confined with metal lath, glass and carbon fiber laterally. According to the results, it shows that the compressive strength increases by 9%, 8% and 6% in metal lath carbon fiber and glass fiber in case of W/B 30% respectively. In case of W/B 30% and 40%, flecxural strength shows largely in order of carbon fiber, metal lath, glass fiber. In strain-stress curve with the kinds of material for lateral confinement, while brittleness failure occurs in plain concrete just after maximum load, it is improved in some degree in confined concrete due to increase of the strain by increase of toughness. But, elastic modulus shows the similar tendency between confined concrete and plain concrete. Length change ratio by drying shrinkage shows little a bit in order of carbon fiber, glass fiber and metal lath due to confinement.

  • In this paper, we studied the effects of mold temperature on the microstructure of injection molded parts. The weld line decreases in length and width as mold temperature increases. We investigated the dimensional stability of the parts made of two kinds of resin(polypropylene and polystyrene) by varying the mold temperature. As the mold temperature is high, both the shrinkage ratio and the thickness difference for the PS parts decreases. But the observation of PP parts shows a tendency to increase. The easiness of cavity filling and transcription of the mold texture is improved as the mold temperature is high.

  • A hybrid method with supercompact multiwavelets is suggested as an efficient and practical method to compress CFD dataset. Supercompact multiwavelets provide various advantages such as compact support and orthogonality in CFD data compression. The compactness is a crucial condition for approximated representation of CFD data to avoid unnecessary interaction between remotely spaced data across various singularities such as shock and vortices. But the supercompact multiwavelet method has to fit the CFD grid size to a product of integer and power of two, m${\times}$2$^n$. To resolve this problem, the hybrid method with combination of 3, 2 and 1 dimensional version of wavelets is studied. With the hybrid method, any arbitrary size can be handled without any shrinkage or expansion of the original problem. The presented method allows high data compression ratio for fluid simulation data. Several numerical tests substantiate large data compression ratios for flow field simulation successfully.

  • Inner support regions of continuous steel and concrete composite bridge decks, transverse crackings are easely developed by tensile forces due to live loads and primary and secondary effects of concrete shrinkage. Since these cracks have an influence on the durability of bridge decks, crack width should be controlled within allowable limit values. Although crack width is a function of steel stress, bar diameter, bar spacing, etc, the current code for the amount of longitudinal reinforcements provides only one value of 2 percent of the concrete area. In order to investigate cracking bahaviors of composite girders with the variation of the longitudinal steel ratios, negative flexural tests are conducted on five composite girders and crack width and crack spacing are compared to ACI Code and Eurocode. Based on the test results, it is discussed the suitability of the current code for the longitudinal steel ratio.

  • Concrete structure is recognized as the universal structuring material for its outstanding formability, economic efficiency, and strength development. However, as the ageing of field workers and the deficiency of skilled workers due to evasions from 3D business have recently become the major issues of the industry in Korea and as the materials are becoming more diversified and complicated for today's concrete structures are becoming higher, larger, and specialized, the need for practicality of construction work based on new technology and new method has greatly increased. In other words, the overall condition of today's construction business requires researches and developments on the self-compacting concrete for higher construction efficiency and quality improvements and the high-strength lightweight concrete for concrete weight reduction and reduction of area. Therefore experimental tests were performed as such compressive strength, dry shrinkage and carbonation of self-compacting concrete.

  • This study investigated the mechanical and durability performance of roller-compacted concrete (RCC) with fly ash for dam applications. A test program studied the effects on the properties of fresh and hardened RCC with fly ash replacement ratio, as well as the long-term durability of the resulting mixture. Fly ash replaced 20, 30, 40, and 50% by mass of the cement. Laboratory tests of the compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, shear strength, chloride ion permeability, abrasion, and drying shrinkage were conducted. The test results demonstrated that 30% fly ash replacement is an optimum level, and that this mixture has excellent mechanical and durability properties.

  • In this study, the properties of super flowing cocrete containing gly ash were experimentally investigated and compared with those of ordinary concrete. Tests were carried out on five types of super flowing concrete mixes containing fly ash and three types of ordinary concrete mixes without fly ash. Flow test, O-funnel test, box test, Ltype thest and slump test were carried out to obtain the properties for the workability of fresh concrete. Compressime strength, splitting tensile strength, modulus of elasticity. creep and shrinkage test were also obtained as the mechanical properties of hardened concrete. In fresh concrete, it was found that super flowing concrete had excellent workability and flowability compared with ordinary concrete, and the volume ratio of coarse aggregate to concrete volume greatly influenced flowability. Super flowing concrete also had good mechanical properties at both early and late ages with compressive strengths reaching as high as 40 MPa at 28 days. The creep deformation of super flowing concrete investigated were relatively lower than that of ordinary concrete.

  • Plastic gears are more and more widely used in many industrial machine elements. Plastic gear has higher properties such as light weight, wear resistance, and vibration absorbing ability than metallic gears. But, in case of using an inaccurate plastic gear, its tooth breakage happen and fatigue life is shortened due to increase of applying load and temperature rising on the tooth flank. Inaccuracy of plastic gears such as pitch circle roundness and tooth profile generates vibration and noise. In this study, an internal plastic gears which is molded by a new injection mold structure are developed. The new mold structure is called the HR3P(hot runner type 3plate mold) that has an improved runner system in order to have good filling balance. As a result from this study, an internal gear with very accurate roundness was developed by using design of experiment.
