This study analyzed risk perception and risk reduction behaviors of male and female college students in their twenties who purchased fashion products in internet shopping malls. It also investigated the relationship between risk perception and risk reduction behavior as well as the ways in which groups, categorized by risk perception, differed in their risk reduction behaviors. The results of this study were as follows: first, seven factors of risk perception were identified. These were product quality, shipping, product image, payment, economic feasibility, fear of other people's reactions, and size. Six types of risk reduction behavior were also identified. These were product comparison, word-of-mouth information search, price search, preference for name-brand, service comparison, and referring to experiences. Next, a correlational analysis of the factors of risk perception and those of risk reduction behavior showed several patterns. The highest positive correlation was between economic risk perception and product comparison behavior. In addition, shipping risk perception was positively correlated with service comparison behavior and product quality and product image had a positive correlation with word-of-mouth information search behavior. Third, customers of internet shopping malls could be categorized into three groups: shipping risk perception group, high risk perception group, and product quality risk perception group. The groups were shown by factor analysis to be significantly different to each other. Finally, risk reduction behavior was investigated according to the different groups of risk perception of the internet shopping malls and the results showed significant differences among groups.
This study is to explore how consumers' needs for tactile cues affect their purchasing behaviors in the internet shopping mall. Since previous studies about internet shopping malls are mainly performed on the primary factors of perceived risk, there are insufficient studies of tactile cues for apparel products. Emphasis of this study is placed on verifying the following hypothesis; it is expected that consumers' needs for tactile cues affect apparel purchasing behaviors in internet shopping. The questionnaire was administered to 20 to 30 year old male and female respondents who are either students or businessmen living in the Busan area. 150 questionnaires were completed and collected for data analysis. The data were, using SPSS 10. 0 for Window, statistically analyzed by frequency and factor analysis for VARIMAX, Cronbach's coefficient and Linear regression analysis. Data were, using SPSS 10. 0 for Window, statistically analyzed by frequency and factor analysis for VARIMAX, Cronbach's coefficient, and ANOVA. The results of data analysis are as follows: First, the tactile cues negatively affect purchase intentions of consumers. This shows that apparel internet shoppers who have high desire for tactical cues tend to avoid purchasing products through the internet. Second, the factor analysis of the moderating effect on perceived risks shows that the perceived risks significantly moderate both the tactile cues and purchase intention of consumers. Third, analysis of purchased experience also shows that purchased experiences significantly moderate both the tactile cues and purchase intention.

Web sites are needed to approach the lots of ways that increase the user intuitive play over communicating information nowadays. So the stimulus of tactile sense establish it's importance through active study in other fields and we expect great effect to applicate this tactile sense in web site. This study analyzed both the experience for intuition and the increase of intuitive play in web site and investigated the importance of tactile sense. This user experience through the tactile sense not only communicates between designer and user but has the intuitive play for users. So we analyzed the factors of tactile user experience in web site and considered it's application and then applied these factors in internet shopping mail. After that, we analyzed the users'response in the Internet shopping mall using the tactile user experiences through the research.
Social commerce is a subset of e-commerce that involves using social media, and user contributions to assist in the online buying and selling of products and services. Given the rapid growth of social commerce sites such as Groupon, Ticketmonster, and Coupang, it has become critical to understand customer purchasing decision-making processes in the social commerce environment. This study developed a theoretical model to examine the role of social commerce site's stickiness in customers' repurchasing decision processes. This study identifies price attribute, variety of selection, shopping enjoyment, and anger as the key factors of social commerce site's stickiness. Data collected from 164 users who had more purchasing experiences with social commerce for more than 7 months were empirically tested against the research model. The analysis results indicate that social commerce site's stickiness plays an important role in enhancing customer's purchasing behavior. Moreover, price attribute and shopping enjoyment significantly influence social commerce site's stickiness, whereas anger does not significantly affect consumer purchasing decision-making processes. However, contrary to our expectation, variety of selection negatively influences social commerce site's stickiness. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings are described.

This study explores various issues of appearance management behavior for plus-size women in Korea with a focus on clothing. In-depth interviews and focused group interviews were conducted with 24 plus-size women. The interviews were recorded and the transcripts were analyzed based on grounded theory. Discomfort was the main phenomenon involving the experience of plus-size women related to appearance management. Psychological as well as physiological/physical discomfort, unmet needs (regarding clothing) and inconvenient shopping experiences were frequently mentioned. Causal conditions for discomfort were obesity, social stigma, and an underdeveloped clothing market for plus-size consumers. Interviewees developed strategies to cope with discomfort (suppressing clothing need, loss of interest in clothing, diversion from clothing needs, sole focus on physical comfort, dress-up and increase in shopping channels, and change in shopping patterns) that depended on contextual conditions (such as duration of obesity and attitudes of people) close to the interviewees. The discomfort of interviewees decreased or continued depending on if they became ambivalent about their obese condition, lost weight, or utilized plus-size specialty stores.
It is common for popular products to sell out, and be out of stock. The purpose of this study is to examine the responses of consumers who have experiences of shopping online, and finding their desired products unavailable from being sold out. In order to carry out the study, in-depth interviews were conducted with ten recruits who were recruited from the Internet community, Soul Dresser, which is part of the Korean web portal, Daum. First, the cognitive reaction of the interviewees showed both positive and negative responses when they found out that their desired product was sold out. However, in the case of emotional reaction, all of them showed negative reactions. Observations showed that consumers researched and found similar products including price when they realized that their desired products were not going to be re-stocked. And in cases of similar products not being available, the consumers looked to buy other types of products such as bags, shoes, and other accessories.
Internet users' desire to share shopping experiences has resulted in the appearance of the paradigm shift called social commerce, which combines social media with commerce. However, while foreign market realizes social commerce in a various way, current domestic social commerce market still seems to be highly filled with social shopping sites offering 50 percent discount, thus causing concerns about market distortion from a cutthroat competition. In order to overcome the limitations of social commerce remaining in the early stage, and to enhance the communication among consumers, this study conducted an empirical study on the social-commerce business models design based on context. The results of the study brought the imaginary, optimal combination model by conjoint analysis, using the segmented group through cluster analysis. To overcome the uniformity of social commerce and to enhance communication among consumers, the context-based optimal combination model should be proposed as the alternative social commerce business model in the domestic market which remains as a simple group-purchase function. Furthermore, this study will be used as an informative reference designing customer oriented service model for social commerce business.
Purpose: By integrating multiple separate online, offline distribution channels, omnichannel distribution has modernized and revolutionized the retailing sector. Omnichannel distribution supports firms by delivering seamless shopping experiences for customers throughout all touchpoints of the shopping journey. This paper aims at exploring the impact of channel integration quality on customer experience and patronage intentions in the omnichannel distribution context. Research design, data and methodology: An online survey was taken with 351 omnichannel experienced shoppers by utilizing the structured questionnaire. The partial least square-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and Smart PLS software were employed to analyze and test proposed hypotheses. Results: The findings reveal that channel integration quality dimensions including breadth of channel-service choice, transparency of channel-service configuration, content consistency, and process consistency, play crucial roles in the customer shopping experience. The perceived compatibility has been influenced by the integrated interactions in which content consistency and process consistency. The findings also demonstrate the positive and direct impact of perceived compatibility on customer experience, and both factors have substantial effects on customers' patronage intentions. Conclusions: This study sheds light on the literature on channel integration quality, omnichannel retailing experience and customer patronage. In addition, this study provides practical implications for omnichannel retailers in enhancing customer experience and patronage.

This study explores the effects of VR (Virtual Reality) store vividness, which is one of VR shopping environmental features used in previous research, on user satisfaction. In addition, the mediating role of immersion between VR store vividness and user satisfaction is investigated. The moderating role of self-efficacy is also explored since the effects of vividness and immersion on user satisfaction may depend on a consumer's perceived shopping self-efficacy. A total of 58 participants experienced a VR store with the Oculus Go VR headset. To test the hypotheses, model 14 of Process Macro 3.4 is used (95% Confidence Interval). According to the results, immersion mediated between VR store vividness and user satisfaction. Additionally, there was a significant interaction effect between immersion and self-efficacy on user satisfaction. When a consumer experiences high immersion at a VR store, consumers may have a strongly positive experience, especially among those who have a perceived low shopping self-efficacy.
