This paper is a part of "The Study of the Traditional Korean Ethnic Farmhousing in Yanbian, China". The purpose of this study focuses on Korean farm house and is twofold: 1) to survey the working space and storage space for tools: 2) to investigate the daily use of space according to the different work activities. It is based on a survey of 124 households in the farm villages of Lunching, China. Survey research methods included a field study in Dallajae. A questionnaire was used to conduct this study. the study found that the working space for the koran farm family is divided into an indoor area and outdoor area. The indoor space includes working areas where the families live their daily life, cook, launder, clean, mange the house keeping, usually stare the grain. The outdoor space includes areas to store the grain, farm tools, rice box, shelves and other things such as sewing machine, iron, and tools used for cleaning the house and for farming. The center of life and work for the farm family was the chung-ji-kan (the combined kitchen and major ondol living room) located in the indoor space.oor space.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the quantity, residents` storing manner, and frequency in use of the stored items in bedrooms. and to comprehend the relevant desires of the residents in apartments. The results of the study are summarized as follows; 1. The quantity of the stored Items in bedrooms of apartments were measured after classified into 4 categories; Western style clothes, Korean costumes, underwears, and miscellaneous items. The quantity of the stored items In Rl(the largest bedrooms) was more than twice as many as in R2(the second largest bedrooms)2. The stored items were divided inte 3 categories according to the manner in which they were stored; those generally hung, those generally folded, and those hung or folded half-and-half.3. The frequency in use of the stored items was classified into 2 categories-those used "always" or "often" and those used "seasonal" or "seldom"·and shown diversely according to the kind of items4. It was shown that most residents in apartments were not much satisfied with storage space, i.e.. they generally fell the storage space insufficient. And they tended to want more wardrobes in Rl, and more shelves in R2.

The purpose of this study is to develop furniture design for the apartment based on the market research of furniture and interior design, and the survey on the design preference of hte apartment residents. The apartment furniture in living rooms, bed rooms and kitchens are designed according to the design concepts of preference image of apartment sizes: that of mid-size apartment(34pyung type) is Natural Modern image, large-size(59pyung type) is Korean Modern image, and extra large-size(81pyung type) is Classic Modern image. The living furniture is designed smaller in order to use the space flexibly, and the built-in furniture of bed rooms is designed simply like the wall of a room to be felt larger, basically. The furniture in kitchen is composed of the storage zone by high cabinets and the display zone by open shelves.

The purpose of this study is to renovate a closed school to a artist studio complex applying sustainable principles and methods. Through the case study, the principle and methods of sustainable renovation is investigated and following strategies are extracted as a frame of renovation. First, atrium space with thermal mass using existing wall is proposed as a public gathering space. Second, light shelves for effective lighting and shading device for protecting and allowing sun light is proposed to renovate existing classroom. Third, double skin system is proposed with reflection pool to activate heating and ventilation for passive solar as well as passive cooling. Finally, simulation programs such as energy-10 and Form-Z is used to confirm the validity of the sustainable design.

In the course of the study program of benthic invertebrates of the coastal shelves of Korean Peninsula, the shallow -water chitons (Mollusca : Polyplacophora) are studied based on the collections of the Korea Ocean Research and Development Insitute made between 1980 and 1983. A total of sixteen species belonging to the Orders Lepidopleurina and Ischnochitonina , are now recognized from Korean waters,of which the following two species are newly recorded ; Leptochiton (Leptochiton ) rugatus (Carpenter in Pilsbry), and Mopalia schrencki Thiele. Illustrations, description and complte synonymies are provided for each of them.

In this paper, a prototype of cooperative work model for multi-robots system is introduced and the evolutionary approach is applied to generate the motions for the cooperative works of multi-robots system using genetic algorithm. The cooperative tasks can be performed by a humanoid robot and a mobile robot to deliver objects from shelves. Generation of the humanoid motions such as pick up, rotation, and place operation for the cooperative works are evolved. Modeling and computer simulation for the cooperative robots system are executed in Webots environments. Experimental results show the feasible and reasonable solutions for humanoid cooperative tasks are obtained.

최근 리더기가 RF를 이용하여 사물에 부착되어있는 전자태그를 인식하는 비접촉 기술인 RFID(Radio Frequency identification)기술을 대형 물류, 제조업 등에 확대 적용함에 따라 기업 공급망의 가시성이 높아지고 효율적인 관리가 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 RFID 태그가 널리 보급됨에 따라 태그간의 충돌문제가 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 태그간의 충돌문제(Anti-collision problem)를 최소화 할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제시한다.

Most of us spend the greater part of our lives in the kitchen, but of all the man environments it maybe the least well-explored share commitment to a cleaner and healthier environment. It has long been kitchen system belief that the environment is a precious gift. In case of built in kitchen system, because it depend upon the earth's resources to design and manufacture steel hardware products, human beings feel an abiding responsibility to act wisely in the environmental choices we make, large and small, every day. Built in kitchen system, designed and coordinated by study of designer, represents an open, complete, free and 'focused' way of conceiving, furnishing and organizing one's own kitchen. A space rich in technical values and home warmth, where few, simple and carefully designed components distinguish and characterize the various work spaces, from the area, intended for preparing and washing food, to the cooking area, and to a wide range of multivalent pieces of furniture, wood paneled wall units and shelves.

The paper discusses the problem of the reduction in Coefficient of Performance (COP) in a refrigerator due to the inadequate position or some flow obstacles such as shelves in a room. The propriety of the present numerical method has teen proved by experiments using the flow visualization technique. The COP are calculated from the temperature rise of the condenser whose temperature indicates the condensing temperature of refrigerant The temperature rise is predicted by the theory of the steady two-dimensional laminar natural convection. In a room size of $2m\;{\times}\;2m$ the COP are decreased by 0.3 when the gap between the wall and condenser are decreased from 10cm to 2cm. While the COP are decreased by 0.55 as the shelf length increases from 0 to 75cm.

Supermarket Franchising, as a relatively new mode of retail business, is often regarded as one of the two hallmarks of the "Modern Logistics Revolution". After more than ten years of development, franchise supermarkets have been a rising force in retail business in China. As a product of a highly-developed commercial economy, franchise supermarkets mainly deals in foodstuffs and other daily necessities, featuring low cost, high turnover rate, low prices and diversified inventory. Propelled by the conveniences that come with open shelves and self-service shopping, franchise supermarkets have been growing very rapidly and the rise of many franchise supermarket brands bears testimony to its growth potential and profitability. Meanwhile, in the backdrop of this boom, some franchise supermarkets are going bankrupt. This paper analyzes the current status of franchise supermarkets and some factors bearing on their core competencies, so as to close the competitiveness gap with international retail giants.
