Due to various advantages such as small facilities, ease of construction and so on, the grouting technology which is widely used in construction field has developed remarkably compared with the past. However, the efforts to improve the homogeneity of quality, long-term durability and environmental problems have been continued. In recent years, new grouting method has been developed in order to solve problems such as low strength, durability and leaching phenomenon of liquid glass (sodium silicate) grouting material in Korea. A newly developed method integrates the injection material with the ground by the self-healing material of crystallization growth type. For this reason, it is known that improvement of the durability and water quality of the ground, prevention of leaching, and environment friendliness can be expected. The present study applied a newly developed method to test sites and verified its effect such as injection range, improvement effect, waterproofing performance and so on. Standard penetration test, field permeability test, borehole shear test, pressuremeter test and pH test were conducted, and the results were compared between before and after developed method application. As results of tests, the field applicability and improvement effect of developed method were proved to be excellent.
The phase transformations and the shape memory effect in In-rich Pb alloys and In rich-Sn alloys have been studied by means of X-ray diffractometry supplemented by metallographic observations. The alloys containing 12~15 at.%Pb transform from the ${\alpha}_2$ (fct) phase to the ${\alpha}_1$ (fct) phase by way of an intermediate phase (m phase) on cooling. The results of X-ray diffraction show that the metastable intermediate phase is observed both on cooling and heating, and has a face-centered orthorhombic (fco) structure. It is concluded that the ${\alpha}_1{\rightleftarrows}{\alpha}_2$ transformation is expressed by the ${\alpha}_1{\rightleftarrows}m{\rightleftarrows}{\alpha}_2$ transformation both on usual cooling and heating with the rate more than $8{\times}10^{-3}$ K/s. The $m{\rightleftarrows}{\alpha}_2$ transformation takes place with a mechanism involving macroscopic shear and are of diffusionless (martensitic) type. The temperature hysteresis in the two transformations is 10~13 K between the heating and cooling transformations. The alloys containing 0~11 at.%Sn are -phase solid solutions with a face centered tetragonal structure (c/a > 1) at room temperature, the axial ratio increasing continuously with tin content. The In-(11~15) at.%Sn alloys are mixtures of ${\alpha}$ and ${\beta}$ phases, the ${\beta}$ phase having a f. c. tetragonal structure (c/a < 1). The alloys containing more than 15 at.%Sn are ${\beta}$-phase solid solutions. The In-(12.9~15.0) at.%Sn alloys show a shape memory effect only when quenched to the temperature of liquid nitrogen, although their effect becomes weak and finally disappears after keeping at room temperature for a long time. The ${\beta}{\rightarrow}{\alpha}^{\prime}$ phase transformation is of the diffusionless (martensitic) type, and takes place between 330 K at 12.9 at.%Sn and 150 K at 14.5 at.%Sn. The hysteresis of transformation temperatures on heating and cooling is considerably large (29~40 K), depending on the composition. Both In-Pb and In-Sn alloys showed distinct the shape memory effects.

Copper (Cu) Chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) has been an essential process for Cu wifing of DRAM and NAND flash memory beyond 45nm. Copper has been employed as ideal material for interconnect and metal line due to the low resistivity and high resistant to electro-migration. Damascene process is currently used in conjunction with CMP in the fabrication of multi-level copper interconnects for advanced logic and memory devices. Cu CMP involves removal of material by the combination of chemical and mechanical action. Chemicals in slurry aid in material removal by modifying the surface film while abrasion between the particles, pad, and the modified film facilitates mechanical removal. In our research, we emphasized on the role of chemical effect of slurry on Cu CMP, especially on the effect of amine functional group on removal rate selectivity between Cu and Tantalum-nitride (TaN) film. We investigated the two different kinds of complexing agent both with amine functional group. On the one hand, Polyacrylamide as a polymer affected the stability of abrasive, viscosity of slurry and the corrosion current of copper film especially at high concentration. At higher concentration, the aggregation of abrasive particles was suppressed by the steric effect of PAM, thus showed higher fraction of small particle distribution. It also showed a fluctuation behavior of the viscosity of slurry at high shear rate due to transformation of polymer chain. Also, because of forming thick passivation layer on the surface of Cu film, the diffusion of oxidant to the Cu surface was inhibited; therefore, the corrosion current with 0.7wt% PAM was smaller than that without PAM. the polishing rate of Cu film slightly increased up to 0.3wt%, then decreased with increasing of PAM concentration. On the contrary, the polishing rate of TaN film was strongly suppressed and saturated with increasing of PAM concentration at 0.3wt%. We also studied the electrostatic interaction between abrasive particle and Cu/TaN film with different PAM concentration. On the other hand, amino-methyl-propanol (AMP) as a single molecule does not affect the stability, rheological and corrosion behavior of the slurry as the polymer PAM. The polishing behavior of TaN film and selectivity with AMP appeared the similar trend to the slurry with PAM. The polishing behavior of Cu film with AMP, however, was quite different with that of PAM. We assume this difference was originated from different compactness of surface passivation layer on the Cu film under the same concentration due to the different molecular weight of PAM and AMP.

In this study, a new method of fabricated concrete deck bridge construction is proposed. This paper details the method in which concrete multi-girders and fabricated concrete decks are rested on the upper flange of the girder and the female to female type sheat-key is formed to connect girder and deck. The finite element analysis is performed to verify the accuracy of the structural behaviors of the fabricated concrete deck bridge by comparing with experimental results. The first task performed is the analysis of the equilibrium of the member force occurring between the deck and the girder. After verifying equilibrium of the member force determined by the finite element analysis, this process is applied to the analysis of maximum member force as the position of design load. This task is utilized to determine the safety of each member according to the same scale finite element model. The final process in this study is to compare the deflection of girders used in experiment with that of the same scale finite element model to verify the strength of fabricated cincrete deck bridge. By this comparison, it is shown that the behavior of the fabricated concrete deck bridge is almost same as the finite element analysis. The second task is to analyze the load distribution effect according to the number of diaphragms and the composite effect due to the cinnection of the deck and girder by the finite element analysis. From the results of second task, it is found that the load distribution effect is not related to the number of diaphragms in case of the central loading, but is related to the number of diaphragms for eccentric loading. Analysis of the load distribution indicates that the effective number of diaphragm is three. It is also shown that the maximum deflection is decreased to almost one half due to the composite action of the deck and girder.

In this study, the soil-structure interaction(SSI) effect on the seismic response of LNG storage tanks was investigated according to the type of foundation. For this purpose, a typical of LNG storage tank with a diameter of 71m, which is constructed on a 30m thick clay layer over bedrock was selected, and nonlinearity of the soil was taken into account by the equivalent linearization method. Four different types of foundations including shallow foundation, piled raft foundation, and pile foundations(surface and floating types) were considered. In addition, the effect of soil compaction in group piles on seismic response of the tank was investigated. The KIESSI-3D, which is a SSI analysis package in the frequency domain, was used for the SSI analysis. Stresses in the outer tank, and base shear and overturning moment in the inner tank were calculated. From the comparisons, the following conclusions could be made: (1) Conventional fixed base seismic responses of outer tank and inner tank can be much larger than those of considering the SSI effect; (2) The influence of SSI on the dynamic response of the inner tank and the outer tank depends on the foundation types; and (3) Change in the seismic response of the structure by soil compaction in the piled raft foundation is about 10% and its effect is not negligible in the seismic design of the structure.
The reinforcement effect of micro-bolt for a bonded scarf joint was investigated. Three scarf ratios of 1/10, 1/20, and 1/30 were considered to examine the effect of scarf patch configuration on joint strength. To maintain the same density of micro-bolt, 16, 32, and 48 bolts were installed in the scarf joint specimens with scarf ratios of 1/10, 1/20, and 1/30, respectively. Tests were also carried out on the joints that are bonded with only adhesive and that are fastened with only micro-bolts to obtain reference values. The average failure loads of the adhesive joints with scarf ratios of 1/10, 1/20, and 1/30 were 29.7, 39.6, and 44.8 kN, respectively. In case of micro-bolt reinforcement, the failure loads at the same scarf ratios were 28.4, 37.2, and 40.1 kN, respectively, which corresponds to 96, 94, and 90% of the pure adhesive joint failure loads. In the case of using only micro-bolts, the failure loads were only 13-25% of the average failure loads of pure adhesive joints. Fatigue test was also conducted for the joints with scarf ratio of 1/10. The results show that the fatigue strength of hybrid joints using both adhesive and microbolts together slightly increased compared to the fatigue strength of adhesive joint, but the rate of increase was small to 2-3%. Through this study, it was confirmed that the reinforcement effect of micro-bolt is negligible in the scarf joints where shear stress is dominating the failure, unlike in the structure where peel stress is dominant.
This study was performed to investigate the effect of rearing period(45 and 70 days) on the changes of the yield, physical trait and the composition of fatty acids. The average weight of 100 duck meat at 45 days post hatch was 2.2kg. The yield of meats from prime cuts of 2.1kg, which are the most consumed today, was composed to whole legs($14.1\%$), wings($8.7\%$) and breast(12.5\%$). The ratio of whole legs and breast was similar, In the secondary cuts, the meats was consisted in drumstick($12.5\%$), thigh($7.3\%$), breast($11.7\%$), tender lion($0.8\%$), drum matte($4.9\%$) and wing($2.6\%$). Especially, the drumstick was twice higher than the wing. The content of oleic acid was 50.87 to $51.32\%$ and 49.84 to $50.03\%$ in the breasts and leg, respectively. In the breast, meat at 75 days the oleic acid was slightly increased DHA was not detected in the breast meat, However, it was $0.13\%$ in the leg. The $a^{*}$ value in meat color, ranged was 16.67 to 17.92 in the breast and 15.81 to 17.15 in the leg. Statistically, there was no significantly difference between the breast and leg. The cooking loss of the breast and leg was $26.37\%\;and\;30.32\%$, respectively. The shear force value was $2.20\;kg/0.5inch^2$ at 45 and $2.84\;kg/0.5inch^2$ at 75 days post hatchet respectively. Therefore, the raring period was effect on the shear force value, but not on the cooking loss and meat color.

Distinct Element Method(DEM) has a great advantage to model the discontinuous behaviour of jointed rock masses such as rotation, sliding, and separation of rock blocks. Geometrical data of joints by a field monitoring is not enough to model the jointed rock mass though the results of DE analysis for the jointed rock mass is most sensitive to the distributional properties of joints. Also, it is important to use a properly joint law in evaluating the stability of a jointed rock mass because the joint is considered as the contact between blocks in DEM. In this study, a stochastic modelling technique is developed and the dilatant rock joint is numerically modelled in order to consider th geometrical and mechanical properties of joints in DE analysis. The stochastic modelling technique provides a assemblage of rock blocks by reproducing the joint distribution from insufficient joint data. Numerical Modelling of joint dilatancy in a edge-edge contact of DEM enable to consider not only mechanical properties but also various boundary conditions of joint. Preprocess Procedure for a stochastic DE model is composed of a statistical process of raw data of joints, a joint generation, and a block boundary generation. This stochastic DE model is used to analyze the effect of deviations of geometrical joint parameters on .the behaviour of jointed rock masses. This modelling method may be one tool for the consistency of DE analysis because it keeps the objectivity of the numerical model. In the joint constitutive law with a dilatancy, the normal and shear behaviour of a joint are fully coupled due to dilatation. It is easy to quantify the input Parameters used in the joint law from laboratory tests. The boundary effect on the behaviour of a joint is verified from shear tests under CNL and CNS using the numerical model of a single joint. The numerical model developed is applied to jointed rock masses to evaluate the effect of joint dilation on tunnel stability.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of cavity shape, bond quality of bonding agent and volume of resin composite on shrinkage stress developed at the cavity floor. This was done by measuring the shear bond strength with respect to iris materials (cavity shape , adhesive-coated dentin as a high C-factor and Teflon-coated metal as a low C-factor), bonding agents (bond quality: $Scotchbond^{TM}$ Multi-purpose and Xeno III) and iris hole diameters (volume; 1mm or 3mm in $diameter{\times}1.5mm$ in thickness). Ninety-six molars were randomly divided into 8 groups ($2{\times}2{\times}2$ experimental setup). In order to simulate a Class I cavity, shear bond strength was measured on the flat occlusal dentin surface with irises. The iris hole was filled with Z250 restorative resin composite in a bulk-filling manner. The data was analyzed using three-way ANOVA and the Tukey test. Fracture mode analysis was also done When the cavity had high C-factor, good bond quality and large volume, the bond strength decreased significantly The volume of resin composite restricted within the well-bonded cavity walls is also be suggested to be included in the concept of C-factor, as well as the cavity shape and bond quality. Since the bond quality and volume can exaggerate the effect of cavity shape on the shrinkage stress developed at the resin-dentin bond, resin composites must be filled in a method, which minimizes the volume that can increase the C-factor.
Purpose: This study was performed in order to assess the effect of the surface treatment methods and the use of bonding agent on the shear bond strength (SBS) between the aged CAD-CAM (computer aided design-computer aided manufacturing) hybrid materials and added composite resin. Materials and methods: LAVA Ultimate (LU) and VITA ENAMIC (VE) specimens were age treated by submerging in a $37^{\circ}C$ water bath filled with artificial saliva (Xerova solution) for 30 days. The surface was ground with #220 SiC paper then the specimens were divided into 9 groups according to the combination of the surface treatment (no treatment, grinding, air abrasion with aluminum oxide, HF acid) and bonding agents (no bonding, Adper Single Bond 2, Single Bond Universal). Each group had 10 specimens. Specimens were repaired (added) using composite resin (Filtek Z250), then all the specimens were stored for 7 days in room temperature distilled water. SBS was measured and the fractured surfaces were observed with a scanning electron microscope (SEM). One-way ANOVA and Scheffe test were used for statistical analysis (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: Mostly groups with bonding agent treatment showed higher SBS than groups without bonding agent. Among the groups without bonding agent the groups with aluminum oxide treatment showed higher SBS. However there was no significant difference between groups except two subgroups within LU group, which revealed a significant increase of SBS when Single Bond Universal was used on the ground LU specimen. Conclusion: The use of bonding agent when repairing an aged LAVA Ultimate restoration is recommended.
