현대회화에서 신체성의 활용에 관한 연구 (A study of using physical body in Contemporary Painting)

  • Body means 1)the whole structure and substance of a man, animal, or plant 2) the trunk or torso of a man or animal 3) part of garment that covers the trunk 4) the fresh or material substance, as opposed to the spirit. Human body could be distinguished as fresh and spirit. Body has the meaning of physicality. Physical means the bodily and constitution, but in the meaning of constitution there is the content of spirituality. Physicality means the appearing or arising of trace or image or nuance of body. The paintings which are using bodies are 1) directly draw bodies 2) twisting or transformation or nuance of the body and highly upgrade the physical emotion or fantastic bodily nuance 3) directly rubbing artist's body on the surface of painting with pigments to elect tactile specification. These physical art have appeared broadly by various artists, mainly with the social aspects of sex, drug, psycho sexual issues. In case of Joel peter Whitkin, the reason of strong physicality in the art is from the mind of the rejection and resistance of real world which is targeting top, perfect and beauty. Further explanation, being the world which is separated top and under, men and women, beauty and ugly; further in the situation, the hierarchy, terror and pressure began and many difficult problems has derived. The contents of attacking feminists's art works are very obscene to reveal female and male's phallus strongly. Sometime, it is strongly related in the political issues. The physical paintings have strong meanings in the action by hands and feet. It supports that it could reveal the humanity with smell, breath, and traces of bodies. In the bodies, the origin of life begins which gives human life by blood lines and water. Sometime, the physical paintings are made by the blood and urine to stick the physicality for special nuance. The physical paintings are made by the image of penis and clitoris which are related in the image of urinating, ejaculation and sometime is symbolized as pens and candles to drop liquid. The selected painters who are related in physical painting are Jackson Pollock, Andrea Serano, Eve Klein, Francis Bacon, Francesco Clemente, Lichard Long, Jakes & Dinos Chapman, Anselm Kiefer, Kiki Smith and Park, Ki Woong. Francis Bacon's style is destructive in representing human shapes which give us special message about the unbearable activity of men politician, high brain, wealthy and religious people. Francesco Clemente's method is to use throat, ear hole, mouse, clitoris, belly nostrils and every holes of body to transmute human physical body. Lichard Long uses directly his body in drawing the surface of painting by using liquid of mud Jakes & Dinos Chapman destroys or transforms the bodies of human. It sometime appears wrong location of the bodies that the penis and vulva is in between human faces or nose of women, Anselm Kiefer uses human hair for representing the human decaying martyrs, and indirectly using straw, he gives special ritual action to repent the Nazi's fault. From 2002 to 2003, Park KI Woong used women womb images to intermingle the smoke shape of <9.11 terror, 2001> in New York to reveal the painful situation of the time(*).

현대 패션쇼에 나타나는 인형과 인형이미지의 내적 의미 (The Internal Meanings of Dolls and Dolls' Images Expressed in Modern Fashion Show)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the internal meanings of dolls and dolls' images expressed in modern fashion show. Dolls are used as sacred object, decoration object, playing object, personified object or cherished object. The expression types of doll image in modern fashion are as following; substitutes of multi-ego, object of sexual desire, objectified creature, and medium of transcending fantasy. First, dolls image as substitutes of multi-ego had been expressed in magical expression, disgusting mask, transparent mannequin, expressionless, horror, conflict, loss of identity, exaggeration or escapism. Second, as object of sexual desire, dolls image are expressed as naked baby, ambiguous expression, naked body, voluminous body, emphasized specific bodypart, heavy makeup or wax doll of sexy actresses. Third, as objectified creature, dolls are human body in passive form. Human bodies are disassembled and reassembled as dolls. Such dolls reflect serious reality. They wrap up human like product and objectify it. Fourth, dolls image expressed as medium of transcending fantasy recollects youth age or expresses imagination on ambiguous virtual reality. Like this, dolls have value as creatures in various fields of modern fashion. Dolls contribute a lot in creating important inspiration. Dolls also expose internal mentality and represent ego. Externally, dolls express human shape becoming more and more materialized and objectified by advancing scientific technology in digital capitalistic society.

온라인 게임 캐릭터에 나타난 신체와 복식의 표현 유형과 미적 특성 (Types of Expression and Aesthetic Characteristics of On-line Game Characters' Body and Costume)

  • This study is to examine the types of expression and aesthetic characteristics of on-line game characters by analyzing those game characters' body and their costume that appear in various domestic on-line game sites. It is shown in this study that types of the human bodies and costume expressed through the game characters are grouped into five categories such as exposure and tightness, enlargement and exaggeration, curtailment and simplification, gender stereotype and unification. Furthermore, there are four typical aesthetic characteristics resulting from those types of expressions; First, 'grotesque' is expressed in the form of extreme enlargement and exaggeration, extreme exposure and concealment, combined images among human, animal or machine, or monstrous devilish images. Second, in an effort to express 'eroticism', bodies are directly exposed, see-through costumes are used in order to emphasize the body lines or very tight designs are used. Third, 'futuristic' characteristics are shown through geometrical shape and silhouette, machine-like details, strong artificial colors or glossy hi-tech material. Lastly, 'pastiche' is expressed with reconciliation of variety of costumes of game characters. Various opposite or heterogeneous styles are combined or harmonized each other to show pastiche, of which examples are male and female, superior culture and inferior one, rich and poor, oriental and western, human and machine, human and nature or past and future, etc.

A Study on the Upper Body Shape of High School Boys to Develop Uniform Shirts

  • 본 연구는 사이즈코리아의 제7차 인체치수조사 자료 중 16-18세 고등학교 남학생 데이터를 사용하여 맞음새가 우수한 교복 셔츠를 개발하기 위하여 상반신 관련 치수를 분석하여 상반신 체형을 분류하고 체형유형별 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 교복셔츠 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 얻고자 하였다. 자료분석에는 SPSS Ver. 26.0 프로그램을 사용하였다. 고등학교 남학생은 높이항목은 연령별로 유의미한 차이가 없었으나 너비, 두께, 길이, 둘레, 어깨경사각, 몸무게 항목에서는 연령별로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 상반신 체형은 어깨길이가 길고 상반신 둘레와 너비가 작은 '긴 어깨 마른 체형', 상반신길이가 길고 상반신 둘레와 너비가 큰 '긴 상체 비만 체형', 어깨길이가 짧고 상반신 두께와 너비가 중간인 짧은 어깨 보통 체형, 어깨길이가 길고 둘레와 너비는 중간 정도인 '긴 어깨 보통 체형' 등 4개로 유형화되었다. 본 연구를 통해 추출된 사이즈 자료를 바탕으로 패턴 개발 및 사이즈 체계 구축을 통해 실질적인 맞음새가 우수한 교복 셔츠 개발이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

제한된 환경 속에서 휴머노이드를 위한 인터랙티브 모션 리타겟팅 (Interactive Motion Retargeting for Humanoid in Constrained Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 인체 모션 데이터를 공간적 제약이 많은 환경 속에 있는 휴머노이드의 몸체에 맞추어 리타겟팅하는 기술을 소개한다. 주어진 모션 데이터는 물체를 손으로 잡거나 장애물 사이를 피해 다니는 등의 세밀한 인터랙션을 포함하고 있다고 가정한다. 또한 휴머노이드의 관절 구조는 인체 관절 구조와 다르며 주변 환경의 모양도 원본 모션이 촬영 될 당시와 서로 다르다고 가정한다. 이러한 조건 하에서 단순히 몸체의 변화만 고려한 리타겟팅 기법을 적용한다면 원본 모션 데이터에서 나타난 인터랙션의 내용을 그대로 보존하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 모션 데이터를 휴머노이드 몸체에 맞게 리타겟팅하는 문제와 인터랙션의 내용을 보존하는 문제를 나누어서 독립적으로 해결하는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 환경 모델과의 인터랙션은 무시하고 모션 데이터를 휴머노이드 몸체에 맞게 리타겟팅 한다. 다음, 환경 모델의 모양을 휴머노이드 모션에 부합하도록 변형하여 원본 데이터에서 나타난 인터랙션이 재현되도록 한다. 마지막으로 휴머노이드 몸체와 환경 모델 사이의 공간적 상관 관계에 대한 제약 조건을 설정하고 환경 모델은 다시 원래 모양으로 되돌린다. 보스턴 다이나믹 사의 아틀라스 로봇 모델을 사용한 실험을 통해 제시된 방법의 유용성을 검증하였다. 향후 모션 데이터 트레킹을 통한 휴머노이드 동작 제어 문제에 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

3차원 스캔측정치와 직접치수간 차이의 성별 비교 -제5차 Size Korea 성인데이터를 대상으로- (A Comparative Analysis of the Difference between 3D Body Scan Measurements and Physical Measurements by Gender -5th Size Korea Adult Data-)

  • A 3D body scan measurement (SM) is used as an alternative to physical measurements (PM) as the information for designing industrial products. This study compared the mean difference (MD) between SM and PM by gender and analyzed the causes of the difference. The data used in this study were the scan measurements and physical measurements of adults aged twenty to seventy years old of the fifth Size Korea survey. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The comparison of MD between men and women for all subjects: The measurement of the significant differences between men and women were height, neck base girth, chest girth, under-bust girth, waist girth, armscye girth, back length, and foot length. The causes of difference are the difference of body shape. 2. The comparison of MD between men and women by BMI groups: Many measurements had significant differences between men and women at normal weight and overweight but underweight. Some measurements had significant differences only at a specific BMI group because the body shape difference between men and women is revealed clearly in the group. The comparison of MD between men and women by age groups: The measurements that show significant difference at more than four age groups were neck girth, chest girth, under-bust girth, waist girth, armscye girth, and foot length. The height and abdomen girth had a significant difference in the age range of 20's and 30's. There were measurements that increase MD with an increase in age; under-bust girth and lateral shoulder length for women and lateral shoulder length for men. This comparison of MD between men and women provide the correct guidelines for the use of SM.

국내 20대 여성의 엉덩이 형태에 따른 하반신 체형 분류 (Lower Body Type Classification by Buttocks Shapes of Korean Women in Their 20's)

  • The purpose of this study is for size suitability and fitness improvement for Korean 20's women. This study has classified hip types of 20's women by the 6th Korean Anthropometric Survey(Size Korean), then compared their lower body-type by hip types each other. The results are as follows. Factor analysis in sorting hip types can be explained 77.72% by nine factors. And cluster analysis can be divided into three types. Type 1 is referred to as a general type which has the largest size in the 'Hip circumference', but the buttocks's horizontal sizes are in the middle size besides the hip line. Type 2 is referred to as a protruding type in upper buttocks which is large in protruding volume of upper buttocks, but the buttock's horizontal sizes are small including 'Hip circumference', and buttock's horizontal section form close to circle. Type 3 is referred to as a type which is contrary to Type 2. Type 3 is small in protruding volume of upper buttocks, but large in lower buttocks, and the protrusions in whole buttocks are small, so the side view of Type 3 made gentle fit shape. By these results, the study could classify lower body of 20's women, and it can be basic data for new sizing systems and pattern development of bottoms.

인체 계측을 위한 수치모형생성 (The Digital Model Generation for the Human Body Measurement)

  • 인체의 형상 및 크기는 인류학뿐만 아니라 일상 생활용품의 설계에서도 중요한 요소가 되고 있다. 비록 새로운 기법의 3차원 계측이 도입되고 제안되었지만, 여전히 결과분석 및 계측방법에 대한 많은 문제점들이 있다. 본 연구에서는 취득된 영상의 내·외부 표정요소, 사진좌표를 얻고 광속조정을 통해 대상물 좌표를 계산하고 다중영상을 접합하여 대상물을 도화하고 Auto-CAD나 다른 Graphic 처리 Utility를 이용하여 3차원 수치모형을 생성하였다. 그 결과, 인체의 수치모형이 일단 생성되면, 많은 응용분야에서 설계자가 필요로 하는 정보를 얻을 수 있고, 기하학적인 많은 정보를 쉽게 얻을 수 있음을 알았다. 따라서 수치모형 생성을 통한 간접적인 인체계측의 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 최근 헬스케어 분야에서 딥러닝을 활용한 다양한 사례가 증가하면서 웨어러블 기기를 통한 심전도 검사, 체성분 분석 등의 기능을 제공하여 합리적인 의사 결정을 제공하여 개인에게 맞는 프로세스를 제공할 수 있다. 딥러닝을 활용하기 위해서는 정제된 데이터 확보가 무엇보다 중요하며 이러한 데이터는 사람의 개입이나 비지도학습 등을 통해 이뤄지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 측정하기 쉬운 가슴둘레, 허리둘레와 같은 치수 데이터를 이용해 성별과 나이에 따른 군집별 비지도학습을 진행하고 이를 CNN으로 분류하는 모델을 제안한다. 데이터는 국가기술표준원에서 제공하고 있는 제7차 인체치수데이터를 활용하였다. 이를 통해 개인 맞춤형 체형관리 서비스나 비만 분석 등 다양한 응용 사례에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
