The researchers wrote the educational content for the program, and the storyboards and illustrations appropriate to the module were constructed and the domain was registered. The web site was named 'www.healthyyouth.org'. Results: Three topics were identified where education is needed: youth and sex, youth and smoking, and counseling techniques for children, and programs were developed under the web site named. 'www.healthyyouth.org'. Over 90 percent of the respondents reported that the web site was useful and 100 percent reported that they would recommend the web site to other school health nurses. Conclusion: The web based program allowed school health nurses to study and improve their health care knowledge and skills. • The purpose of this study is to provide practical information which can prevent the adolescents from sexual derailment by identifying types of sexual attitudes and their perception of sexual abuse incidents. The results are as followings; 1. The sexual attitudes were grouped into three types: passive type, active chaser, and conservative introvert. Most adolescents belonged to passive type and least to trend of chaser. The results showed that Korean adolescents tended to be passive to the matter of sex. They also had different perceptions to sexual attitude and sexual abuse incidents in relation to their sexual attitude type, sex and grade. Thus, sex education with different contents and approaches in relation to their sexual attitude type, gender and age seems to be effective. 2. Majority of the adolescents thought sexual abuses could take place at anytime and anywhere. Belief that the offender would be a male and the victim would be a female was most common. Most respondents thought the offender would be responsible for sexual abuse, and that the offender would be a male. Most were the replies that one would report the offender and go to counselling center for help. Although these replies are very desirable, there are doubts that if they would be able to behave that way in the actual situation. That is because it is hard to get help from counselling center due to the system and the lack of counselors. Therefore, it is essential to improve the system to make it possible to give practical help to adolescents.

  • This study is designed to support the development and the teaching of revised curriculum of 2007 "Technology & Home Economics" by investigating the actual condition and the necessity of education for elderly housing education. Questionnaire survey was conducted with 488 high school students in Gyeongnam in 2008. The data analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test by using SPSS 14 program. The results showed that most of the students were dissatisfied with their middle school education of elderly housing due to the lack of interesting and practical contents. Thus, various teaching-learning methods where student can experience and experiment is needed. Also, the students demanded more of factors of elderly housing, spacing plan, elderly welfare service and less of three-generation housing and senior housing in their elderly housing education. The needs of education contents differed among students depending on variables such as sex, graduated middle school, household income, dwelling space and length of residential years. Therefore, revised 2007 curriculum of "Technology & Home Economics" should include required contents in related chapters. Because there are significant differences among textbooks about elderly housing, further attention needs to be paid to the new textbooks in order to include education contents evenly. At the same time, teachers should organize their teaching contents considering the divergence of variables. The effect of elderly housing education will be maximized if the revised curriculum consists of more experimental activities such as elderly simulation in the local community.

  • The aim of this study was to grasp the context of family life education under the Joseon Dynasty. As a first step to attain this goal, we used Yi Duk-Hong's Bubuyubyeoldo as our main material and examined the meaning of 'bubuyubyeol'(夫婦有別) in family life education as it was defined during the Joseon Dynasty. As a result, we found that 'bubuyubyeol' implied the strict avoidance of the opposite sex in the relationship between a couple and others as well as within the marital relationship. We also determined that in the family life education, 'bubuyubyeol' was closely related to 'bujayuchin'(父子有親), a concept that refers to the ethical relationship between parents and children. This concept also, formed the basis of social relationships. These results imply that contemporary family life education will be more effective and efficient 1) when it presupposes a common basic concept pertaining to the contents of object-specific education as well as overall family life education, and 2) when direct education programs are executed in harmony with indirect education.
