Anti-sway Control for Crane System Using Two Degree of Freedom Servo Controller (2자유도 서보제어기를 이용한 크레인의 Anti-sway 제어)

  • In designing the anti-sway controller for crane system in the industrial field, one of the basic problem is to keep the stability of system, even if the mathematical model of the plant is not exact and disturbance exists. Form this point of view, a two-degree-of-freedom(2DOF) servo controller effact to the system in which the integral compensation is effctive only when a modeling error and/or a disturbance input exist. In this paper, the change of load weight and variation of wire rope length considered as the structured uncertainty, and design the 2DOF servo contorller using independently the informations of reference signal and control output with both feedforward and feedback. The effectivenss is proved through the results for the anti-sway system in the system with the position control of trolley.

  • The accuracy of the servo control in CNC system has a great influence on the duality of machine product. Tracking performance of the servo control is deteriorated mainly by the time delay of the servo system and the inertia of the work table or bed. Contouring errors occur in every interpolation steps by the effect of the tracking performance. In this paper, $H_{\infty}$ two-degree-of-freedom(TDF) controller is designed for improvement to improve the tracking performance. The designed controller is applied 3-axis machining center model and the cutting accuracy is simulated in case of corner cutting, circular and involute interpolation. Simulation results show that $H_{\infty}$ TDF controller designed in this paper has a good effect to improve tracking performance in CNC system.

  • This paper deals with speed control of DC-servo motor using a Back-Propagation(BP) Learning Algorism and a PID controller Conventionally in the industrial control, PID controller has been used. But the PID controller produced suitable parameter of each system and also variable of PID controller should be changed enviroment, disturbance, load. So this paper revealed for experimental, a neural network and a PID controller combined system using developed speed characters of a Variable Load DC-servo motor. The parameters of the plant are determined by neural network perform on on-line system after training the neural network on off-line system.

  • In this paper, an implementation approach of Fuzzy Position Controller for DC servo motor which requires the faster and more accurate dynamics is presented. The proposed Fuzzy position controller is consists of an adjustment routine obtaining optimal scale factors and a Fuzzy control routine inferencing optimal control signals, using 80286 microprocessor and DT 2801 board. Comparing to conventional PD controllers, the control performances such as reaching time, overshoot, disturbance adaptability and etc. are substantially improved.

  • The road simulator system can simulate the longitudinal, lateral, and vertical movement changed by road conditions and vehicle dynamic characteristics while driving. This system provides the durability evaluation of vehicle suspensions. The system consists of hydraulic actuators, link mechanism, and servo controller. The hydraulic actuators are specially manufactured using low friction seals to endure high speed movement. The link mechanism is designed in order to minimize the dynamic effect during motion and remove the interference between 3axes actuators. The servo controller is composed of sensors, sensor amplifiers - displacement transducers and load cells, and an industrial PC with DSP board which calculates the control algorithm to control hydraulic actuators. The test results are included to evaluate the performance of this simulator comparing vehicle driving test.

Robust Time-Optimal Control for Coarse/Fine Dual-Stage Systems

  • A robust end time optimal conかof strategy for dual-stage servo system is presented. The time optimal trajectory for a mass-damper system is determined and given os a reference input to the servo system. The feedback controller is constructed so that the fine stage tracks the coarse stage errors and robustly designed as the“perturbation compensated sliding mode control(PCSMC)”law, a combination of slid-ing mode controller(SMC) and perturbation observer(PO). In addition, a null motion controller which regulates the fine stage at its neutral position is designed based on the“dynamic consistency”So, the overall dual-stage servo system exhibits the robust and time-optimal performance. The inherent merit and performance of the dual-stage system will be shown.

  • This study is to investigate the problem of the SPM(Skin Pass Mil7) system which is a finishing treatment of steel sheet. and to develop a PID control scheme to minimize process instability. An electrohydraulic servo system with conventional proportional controller used to regulate the force on the strip works inadequately to yield very undesirable transient responses at the moments welding parts of the strip conte into and pass through the rolls. Both linearized and nonlinear models of a typical SPM system ware simulated first by using Simulink. Then Ziegler-Nichols ultimate cycling method was used for an initial reference guide to tune PID gains, and further fine tuning was performed to get desirable response. The test result in the plant show that proposed PID control scheme successfully improves the process instability in a SPM system.

  • In optical disk drives, a conventional control method in the presence of surface defect is holding the previous tracking control command. It is known that the method has a long settling time. This paper proposes a new control method which reduces the settling time. An optical head generally has coupled dynamics between focusing and tracking servo system. We present how to compensate the coupled dynamics so that reduced settling time is achieved. It is verified by experiments that the proposed method brings an improved performance in the presence of surface defect as well as in the normal operating condition.

  • Resistance spot welding is widely employed in a manufacturing process. In recent years, the requirement for more sophisticated quality control procedures has been in mass production industries. The requirements for high productivity and better weld qualities have lead to the development of more widely available microcomputer-based control. In this study, the inverter type power source and welding servo gun are developed. As the results, we have some advantages over the previous methods such as pneumatic gun. One of them is that the precise pressure control can be attained during the welding process. In addition, production time and cost can be decreased.
