  • Modern telecommunications are increasingly demanding the addition of complex switching features to switching system software. These improvements also should satisfy customer demands for quick provisioning of new service features. But whenever we have developed the switching system in various types, we met problems that are lack of system engineers and short developments terms. We need new guidelines of software design to meet the demands and overcome our problems. So we propose new software platform, scenario driven call control engine (SDCCE) for ATM switching system software and implement an effective call control software using scenarios for ATM Switching System. A scenario is a set of procedures and supplementary scenarios written in data structure and gives benefits to easy adapt new or modified function by adding a scenario. The goal of SDCCE is to increase reusability and readability of software. Especially, it gives a good software extensibility and maintainability. And when we developed ptmp call processing control software, we could get high productivity by reusing scenarios and procedures of ptp call processing control software. We applied the scenario driven call control software to ATM switching system.

  • This paper described some applications using Open GIS Component that was called MapBase. There were 4 applications : KSDI(Korea Spatial Data Infrastructure) funded by MOIC(Ministry of Information and Communication), National Plants Resource Management System supported by Korea Forest Service, 7-Underground Facilities Management System of Cheongju funded by MOCT(Ministry of Construction and Transportation), and National Disaster Management System supported by MOGAHA(Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs. Because they wanted to access heterogeneous spatial database, it was necessary to select MapBase as their base methodology. The main feature of MapBase was component S/W which provided the interoperability and reusability among GIS applications as well as non-GIS information system through common specification. In this paper, we showed some applications' architectures and functions to increase understanding MapBase. That would help you to make application using MapBase.

  • 클라우드 서비스 (Cloud Service)는 다양한 IT자원과 소프트웨어 기능을 서비스 형태로 제공하여 여러 사용자들이 경제적으로 재사용할 할 수 있게 하는 새로운 패러다임이다. 클라우드 서비스의 재사용을 통해 서비스 제공자는 높은 이익을 얻을 수 있고, 잠재적인 서비스 사용자를 위해 재사용성이 높은 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 그러나, 클라우드 서비스의 재사용성 측정은 중요한 요소로 인식되고 있으나, 이를 측정하기 위한 포괄적이고 실용적인 품질모델이 미흡하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 클라우드 서비스의 재사용 평가를 위해 클라우드 서비스의 고유한 특징을 정의하고 이를 기반으로 품질모델을 제안하며, 품질속성과 각 품질속성을 측정할 수 있는 품질메트릭을 제안한다.

  • HLA는 이기종 시뮬레이션간의 연동을 위한 IEEE 1516 표준이며, RTI는 연동을 위한 하부 인프라 서비스를 제공하는 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 HLA/RTI에 호환 가능한 OO기반의 페더레이트 모델 구조를 제안함으로써 코드의 재사용성을 높인다. 이는 시스템 개발 프로세스의 효율을 높이고, 개발시간의 단축 및 소프트웨어 개발 비용의 절감효과를 가져 온다. 제안된 페더레이트 모델은 이를 구현한 페더레이트에 대한 HLA 인증으로 그 실질적인 효과를 검증 받는다.

  • 최근 인터넷의 보급으로 교육 환경이 급변하고 있다. 사이버교육분야에서 사용되고 있는 LMS는 강의부문과 관리부문으로 구성되는데 특히 다수의 가상교육 시스템을 개발하는 경우는 컴포넌트 기반의 개발기법이 효율적이다. 본 연구에서는 컴포넌트 기반으로 LMB를 개발하는 과정에서 컴포넌트의 재사용성 측면에서 CBD가 효율적임을 입증하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 지금까지의 GUI 중심의 웹 어플리케이션을 VUI 중심의 웹 어플리케이션으로 구현하기 위한 음성 인식 항공 정보 시스템을 설계 구현하였다. 이러한 ASP(Active Solver Page)로써 구현한 윈도우 서버 기반에서 운용되는 시스템에 관한 Web 관련 ASR(Automatic Speech Recognition)연구가 최근 상당한 연구가 이루어지고 있지만 ASP의 웹과의 제한성으로 인해 시스템의 속도면, 이식성 등에서 제약을 가져왔다. 이와 같은 제약성을 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 음성 정보 및 동적 VoiceXML을 구현하는 자바 빈즈(JAVA Beans) 컴포넌트 구조에 대해서 연구하였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 Remote An(Abstract Windows Toolkit)기술을 이용하여 GUI 및 VUI 에서의 음성 및 그래픽 정보를 동시에 전달 가능하게 하는 Voice 웹 브라우징의 가능성을 확인하였다.

기능별로 분류된 프레임워크에 기반한 실내용 이동로봇의 주행시스템 (Functionally Classified Framework based Navigation System for Indoor Service Robots)

  • This paper proposes a new integrated navigation system for a mobile robot in indoor environments. This system consists of five frameworks which are classified by function. This architecture can make the navigation system scalable and flexible. The robot can recover from exceptional situations, such as environmental changes, failure of entering the narrow path, and path occupation by moving objects, using the exception recovery framework. The environmental change can be dealt with using the probabilistic approach, and the problems with the narrow path and path occupation are solved using the ray casting algorithm and the Bayesian update rule. The proposed navigation system was successfully applied to several robots and operated in various environments. Experimental results showed good performance in that the exception recovery framework significantly increased the success rate of navigation. The system architecture proposed in this paper can reduce the time for developing robot applications through its reusability and changeability.

사용자 중심의 상황 인지 시스템의 개발 (Development of User-Centered Context Awareness System)

  • Recently, a smart space with Ubiquitous Environment is expanding rapidly due to the development of Ubiquitous Sensor Network. Therefore, more appropriate and intelligent services of the context awareness system is being required. The previous context awareness system can provide a service to the user through the inference only on the current situation. But, it does not handle certain situation properly when the system provides abnormal result. Also it does not have any proper method of generating reliable semantic data from sensed raw data. In this paper, we are trying to solve the problems as the following approaches. First, the system recognizes abnormal result and corrects it by learning feedback from the user. Second, we suggest a method of converting sensed data into more reliable semantic data. Third, we build the system based on an Ontological context model that is capable of interoperability and reusability. Therefore, the context awareness system of our study can enhance the previous system that can generate more reliable context data, can provide more effective inference method, and can provide more intelligent system structure.

GPS 애플리케이션에 대한 컴포넌트 기반의 요구사항 분석 (Component-based Requirements Analysis for the GPS Applications)

  • GIS provides the various analyzing and displaying using diverse spatial data have supported the powerful functionality and friendly user-interface. But, early GIS software is developed as package tool, it have many difficulties with reducing the cost of developing GPS application and satisfying the various user requirements. At present, the developed GPS applications across multiple domains, despite the common features are built separately for each domain in terms of software engineering development followed out waste of time and money expenditure. However, common features between GPS applications, if deployed as a component assembly and reuse components in terms of enabling the two kinds of component-based development can bring out the beneficial results. In this paper, we described the Analysis and design of GPS ApplicationsS based on Component. Each GPS component is composed of many objects accomplish the atomic service processing and cooperate with each other. And, GPS components meets the qualifications of thc low cost of developing GPS application because of the reusability and re-composition.

Seamless 이동 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 핸드오버 기법 (A Hand-over Scheme for Seamless Mobile Multimedia Communication Services)

  • The next generation mobile multimedia network is expected to provide higher-rate multimedia communication services to versatile mobile terminals moving in even higher speed. For achieving more efficient reusability of scarce radio resources and thereby accommodating more user population in this network, the smaller cell such as micro or pico cell structure is used. More efficient and faster hand-over schemes are necessary to prevent the degradation of QoS of multimedia services caused by hand-over processing delay and packet loss during frequent hand-over. This paper proposes a faster and more effective hand-over scheme for high-rate multimedia services in the future mobile multimedia networks. by utilizing the GPS information on the position of the mobile terminal and its estimated moving directions. The simulation results show that our proposed method provides a better performance than the conventional method.
