The purpose of this study is to investigate the elementary pre-service teachers' views about "the purpose of science experiments". For the study, the views about the purposes of scientists' experiments and school science experiments were surveyed from 227 pre-service teachers. And the responses were analyzed based on their gender, intensive majors and school science test scores. The main results of the study are as follows. First, in relation to the purpose of scientists' experiments, the pre-service teachers considered internal values of doing experiments were more worthy than the external values of it. In particular, the pre-service teachers responded that the most important purpose of the science experiments is 'to get the evidences for the theories and arguments'. On the other hand, the views from the women and social studies major pre-service teachers were more diverse than those of the man and science major pre-service teachers. Second, in relation to the purpose of school science experiments, the pre-service teachers excessively considered that the internal values of school science experiments were more worthy than the external values. In particular, only few pre-service teachers were aware of social and personal aspects of the experiments, though they considered well that the experiments are useful tools for the school science study. Third, there were quite different aspects of pre-service teachers' views between the purposes of scientists' experiments and school science experiments. For example, the views about the scientist's experiments were relatively broad concerning the nature of scientific experiments, but the school science experiments were just regarded as an educational tool for the science study. Based on the results from the study, some science educational implication were discussed.
Purpose: The study was aimed at qualitatively enhancing and promoting a home visiting nursing program established in Korea on July 1, 2008, as part of the Long-Term Care Insurance for the Elderly program. Methods: Structural, procedural and consequential aspects of home visiting nursing care wereclassified on the horizontal axis by applying the standard notions for the evaluation of medical care (Donabedian, 1998). At the same time, the home visiting nursing care service support system and the service provision system weredivided on the vertical axis with reference to the accreditation standards for home visiting nursing care organizations suggested by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO, 2008). The data were collected from June 4, 2008 to October 27, 2008, and were analyzed using SPSS ver. 15.0. Results: Twenty-two (proposed) standards, centered on the standard elements under the conceptual framework of the study, were developed, and comprised structural aspects (n=10), procedural aspects (n=6) and consequential aspects (n=6). Those criteria and indicators underwent two content validity surveys among groups of home visiting nursing care research and training experts. The research produced 22 proposed standards, 50 proposed criteria and 166 proposed indicators. Conclusion: The home visiting nursing care standards developed pursuant to the Long-Term Care Insurance for the Elderly Act and the applicability of these standards need to be verified by home visiting nurses. These proposed standards should prove useful in developing an assessment tool to encourage the qualitative enhancement of visiting nursing care in Korea.

In this study, find out of recognition of the effect of science, society and ethical aspects on natural disasters and understanding degree of knowledge applying for SSI class aimed at elementary pre-service teachers by developing SSI training program of the 'Earth and Space' field. Also, after SSI class application we examined the change perceptions of elementary pre-service teachers. SSI training program was that elementary pre-service teachers participated in the SSI class of a variety of subjects in the field of 'Earth and Space' and directly joined in the decision-making process and reflectional discussion with colleagues as conducted in this class reflective discussion with the pre-primary teachers pre-service teachers. Elementary pre-service teachers were understanding of the nature of the science and to understand in more depth about the SSI class characteristics. This study, second grade 115 people who was taking 'science and teaching materials' course in B National University of Education at B city participated. In order to apply for SSI class, one semester based on 15 weeks until seven weeks were science and teaching materials and based on the nature of science, after 8 weeks we set the theme of the contents related to the Earth and space and give lesson applied for SSI. During 8 weeks, test subjects 4 classes were taking 50 minutes a week 100 minutes. First time has theoretical lessons in topics related to the 'Earth and space' and on the second week, each classes participate in the decision-making processes respectivly by dicussing and debating on the first week's topic as regarding social and moral aspects of it. We obtained the following results. First, elementary pre-service teachers were acquiring the results of 67% in the knowledge aspects of the 'Earth and space'. This result was determined that most of the elementary pre-service teachers were liberal arts in high school. Second, while participating in the SSI class, elementary pre-service teachers were concretely aware of the nature of SSI and the characteristics of the class. Third, the elementary pre-service teacher are thaught that introduction education courses about 'Earth and space' are needed but most of the students responded that this would require a lot of effort of teachers. This was derived from not familiar class form that did not fulfill in the science teaching methods until now.
The purpose of this research is to develop a service R&D concept definition and finding service R&D demand in Korea. It is necessary to develop an effective service R&D model to improve the competitiveness of the service industry. A survey model for finding service R&D demands has been developed through extensive discussions with experts. A demand survey for 91 experts in service industry and academia has been conducted to find relative weights of each service R&D category. Several other aspects on service R&D has beed investigated to analyze the relative importance of service R&D subjects. And a benchmarking on previous service R&D research investment has been performed. Past and present service R&D topics are compared as a whole and by each individual domain. A service R&D framework and important funding areas has been suggested. The results of this research can be used for research fund allocation decisions for strengthening service industry competitiveness.
Even though several methodologies for SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) have been proposed, in practical aspects most of them have some problems since they fail to propose specific policies in definition and identification of a service. This paper proposes a service modeling methodology. SOMO(Service Oriented Modeling using Ontology), which draws proper services in the process of defining and identifying services. SOMO defines a service ontology based on service definition and characteristics in SOA. The service drawing process consists of 3 steps : requirement analysis, service identification, and service definition. SOMO is expected to increase the degree of reuse and facilitates the definition and search of services by using service ontology. In addition, it clearly allows the definition and identification of services, satisfying the user requirements.
The aim of this paper is to explore and understand, using in-depth interviews, the participant's motivation for becoming a math teacher, ways of dealing with university math knowledge and private tutoring experiences. In addition a larger aim is to understand how the individual's interest in mathematics and turing are linked to his/her larger personal tendencies contrasting secondary and university math learning. In-depth interviews were conducted with 6 pre-service teachers' subjective experiences focusing on motivation and feelings on mathematical knowledge and private tutoring. The output of this research consists of 3 cases, highlighting and conceptually developing the specific aspects under study; different ways in which individuals' involvement with the math learning and tutoring that might be connected with the ways of becoming teachers. Larger aspects of pre-service teachers' subjective experiences were sketched by contrasting the inner aspects of the individuals. Several suggestions were presented at the end with the possible research directions for math education.
This study used the Q-method to derive the structure of subjective opinions and perceptions of university students about the behavior of food delivery agency service provided by staff not directly employed in restaurants. For this purpose, the Q factor analysis was performed using the PC QUANL program for the Q-sort, which consists of a statement card, a P-sample, and a classification process. The results were classified into three types. The factor names were set as the first type (N = 7): efficiency seeking type, the second type (N = 19): benefit seeking type, and the third type [(N = 6): cost-effectiveness seeking type. The characteristics of each type are Type 1:Types that recognize aspects that are efficient for both consumers and restaurants, Type 2: Types of recognizing aspects of being benefited from speed, convenience and benefit, Type 3: Although it contributes to labor cost savings, it appears to recognize price and quality aspects in the initial market, which is burdened by consumers. The purpose of this study is to derive the problems of food delivery agency service business according to the three types and to provide strategic implications for the development direction and improvement plan.
As medical service industry is transformed into the market centered on consumers, medical service quality patients recognize is emphasized as the powerful means to ensure competitive advantage among hospitals in the fierce medical markets. Many researches have been done on the definition of medical service quality, developing a scale to measure it, patient satisfaction, hospital repurchase and oral transmission intention, but integrated studies have not been done sufficiently on the patient' cognitive emotional aspects. For these research purposes, based on service relation, service quality, physical surroundings, human services, corporate reputation, service value, emotional response, customer satisfaction and repurchase intention, this paper suggests a theoretical modeling composed of hypotheses on the relations of each theoretical variable. In addition, the moderating effect of service relationships is investigated based on the structural equation model.
This study was conducted to provide information of affective area in developing a nursing curriculum. The sample consisted of 38 sophomores and 43 seniors in Department of Nursing, College of Medicine, Han Yang University. Data were collected by using a structured questionnaire, which consisted of social, home and self control aspects in self concept. The results are summarized as follows; 1. CD In sophomore, as father's academic career were higher, the self concept In social aspects became higher. The students whose father's job was profesion and a white-collar job and who applied for nursing by force and were satisfied with their educational expenses had more positive self concept in social aspects. In senior, as their age were higher, the self concept in social aspects became higher. The students who had religion, recognized the visions of nursing, and were satisfied with their major, had more positive self concept in social aspects. In self concept in social aspects, home environment explained the major variable in sophomore. On the other side, the variable related to major was important in senior. (2) In sophomore, the students who were satisfied with educational expenses and their major had more positive self concept in home aspects. In senior, the students who counseled of their problems with their parents and recognized the visions of nursing had more positive self concept in home aspects. Counsel of their personal problem with their parents explained the most affective variable $(9.6\%)$ for self concept in home aspects in senior. But, it explained only $1.1\%$ of the variance for self concept in home aspects in sophomore. (3) In senior, the students who were unsatisfied with their educational expenses had more negative self concept in self control aspects. 2. There was no significant difference accord ing to the academic year m social, home and self control aspects. 3. The aspects with the highest positive perception of the self concept was home aspects. Self concept in social aspects was more positive perception than in self control aspects. Self concept in self control aspects was lower than in other aspects. 4. Significant relationship a revealed between social aspects and home aspects in sophomore. In senior, the positive correlation were found between social aspects and home aspects and between social aspects and self control aspects. In conclusion, the self concept m home aspects was more positive perception than in other aspects. It resulted from the fact that the nursing uniqueness was based on the spirit of humanity and service. But, when we consider social and self control aspects, good relationship between subjects and nurse is important in nursing, so it is desirable that nursing curriculum include human relationship program. Therefore. in order to strengthen positive self concept, professors and parents must pay attention to student's problems and counsel with then is required.
Purpose - Acknowledging the limitations of the widely-used concept of destination image, this study proposes the concept of tourism image using trade in tourism service on the basis of Leiper's (1990) tourism system. This new concept incorporates an image formed from South Koreans focusing on the tourist holistic experience relevant to the United States based on the tourist rather than the tourism destination. Design/methodology - A convergent parallel mixed-methods study design constituted the concept, which emerges from the analysis of narratives and quantitative examinations of South Koreans focusing on tourism experience to the United States. Findings - The study considers the following aspects in addition to destination image: first, images formed outside the destination, e.g., in the tourist generating region and the transit region; second, non-hedonic images, which are a part of the tourist experience despite not directly involving a visit to the tourist attractions; and third, non-service-driven elements, such as co-created destination images formed from interaction with residents and fellow tourists. Originality/value - The tourism image concept allows consideration of aspects that have been overlooked in destination image studies yet may affect the image of the tourism experience.
