Percutaneous first annular pulley (A1 pulley) release, which has been increasingly used to treat trigger fingers, has been widely established as a safe and simple procedure. Multiple studies have reported positive results of percutaneous A1 pulley release. In this study, however, we report cases of patients who developed complications after undergoing percutaneous A1 pulley release at local clinics. A total of six patients visited our hospital for infectious complications after percutaneous A1 pulley release. Various sequelae such as damage to normal structures, insufficient procedure, and tissue necrosis were observed during the exploration. A retrospective study was conducted to identify the cause and trend of the observed complications by instruments (HAKI knife or needle). In the HAKI knife group, there was a tendency for damage to normal structures, while in the needle group, an insufficient release or serious soft tissue necrosis was observed. Based on these cases, our findings confirm the existence and characteristics of infectious complications following the percutaneous A1 pulley release. We further identify that the type of instrument used predicts the nature of complications. Thus, reliable and skilled performance of the procedure by experts is essential for safe treatment.

The Serial murder is a serious social phenomenon that gives a shock to community and society, because of it's habituate and scheme. We could identify a happening of serial killing crime at Western society, especially in U. S, but hardly to find many cases in Korea except some of cases. We can easily prospect the happening of serial killing crime at Korea in the future, at least it exists that home and social disorganization cause by divorcing and hasty economic development. There will be a reserve criminal who have distorted personality effected by undesirable surrounding, therefore he may become a serial murder. This study examines criminal psychological analysis of On Bo Hwan's serial murder case in 1994 at Korea, according to criminal records and press report and his statement and confession. This paper also show his domestic background and growing atmosphere and human relation between his parents.

The main purpose of this study is to observe correlation between caregiver's burden and care sharing and then to contribute to improve relationship between old parents and their adult children. The research samples were collected by structured questionnare and 507 samples were finnally selected. The data analysis was conducted by the method of frequency mean Pearson's correlation multiple regression The major findings were as follows: Care-sharing was made much in the case of this SES the oldest daughter-in-law living together with old parents and old parents' economic incapacity Caretiver's burden was serious in the case of living with old parents the oldest daughter-in-law and old parents' economic incapacity. And the correlation between care sharing and caregiver's burden was positive.

Migraine is a very common unilateral and throbbing headache, and a chronic relapsing and remitting disorder characterised by neurological, gastrointestinal, and autonomic changes. It has a high prevalence, often recurs at the time of being in full activity of life, and has a serious impact on patients personally and socially. So we need to develop a oriental medicine for migraine. I have treated two migraine patients using Zhuapiandutongbang (Zuopiantoutongfang) of Dongyibogam. The impression of first case is migraine with aura, and that of second case is probable migraine. We just give Zhuapiandutongbang (Zuopiantoutongfang)'s medicine to two patients, but don't apply acupucture and anything to treat. We reported that Zhuapiandutongbang (Zuopiantoutongfang) has a good effect on not only the improvement of symptoms but also the prevention of relapse.

Malocclusion is a serious complication of open reduction surgery for facial fractures. It is often caused by the lack of adequate consideration for the occlusal relationship before the trauma and intermaxillary fixation during the operation. This is a case report of postoperative malocclusion that occurred in a patient with a midfacial complex fracture.

Acute supraglottitis is characterized by an inflammation and edema of the supraglottic region and a potential life-threatening condition because of its risk for sudden upper airway compromise. Prompt diagnosis, administration of broad spectrum antibiotics, and airway management is pivotal for reducing serious complications. In the immunocompromised host, microorganisms are more likely to elicit mucosal inflammations, thus clinicians should pay attention to those patients for prompt removal of the causes of immune disruption. Here we report a case of acute adult supraglottitis with neutropenia caused by anti-thyroid drug with a review of the related literatures.

Although alveolar echinococcosis (AE) can cause a serious disease with high mortality and morbidity similar to malign neoplasms. A 62-year-old woman admitted to a hospital located in Sivas, Turkey, with the complaints of fatigue and right upper abdominal pain. On contrast abdominal CT, a $54{\times}70{\times}45$ mm sized cystic lesion was detected in the left lobe of the liver that was seen to extend to the posterior mediastinum and invade the diaphragm, esophagus, and pericardium. The cystic lesion was seen to be occluding the inferior vena cava and left hepatic vein at the level where the hepatic veins poured into the inferior vena cava. Bilateral pleural effusion was also detected. We discussed this secondary Budd-Chiari Syndrome (BCS) case, resulting from the AE occlusion of the left hepatic vein and inferior vena cava, in light of the information in literature.

Congenital bronchoesophageal fistula associated esophageal atresia usually presents in the newborn period or infancy but those without esophageal atresia are more insidious in disease process. Symptoms which include cough, hemoptysis, choking on swallowing liquids, uncommonly dysphagia, and epigastric discomfort may not begin until adult life. Most of the cases are curative unless there are serious underlying conditions. The diagnosis is usually made by gastroesophagoscopy, esophagogram, bronchogram and bronchoscopy. And the most of the cases can be cured by fistulectomy and resection of involved pulmonary lobes. We experienced one case of congenital bronchoesophageal fistula which occurred in a 13- year-old girl who complained of paroxysmal cough and intermittent hematemesis for 3 years.

Tracheal stenosis is due to tracheostomy or prolonged intubation. Development of tracheal stenosis following tracheostomy is very serious complication. In recent practice, tracheostomy has became more popular because of increased occasions of major and minor traumas. At the Dept. of thoracic surgery, Chonbuk national university hospital, we have experienced one case of tracheal stenosis following tracheostomy for assisted ventilation. Chest X-ray revealed the narrowing of trachea at cervicothoracic junction due to previous tracheostomy. We resected the narrow segment & tracheal reconstruction was performed with an excellent result in postoperative periods. Postoperative air tracheogram did not reveal demonstrable narrowing of air filled trachea.

Calcaneal or calcaneovalgus deformity can occur after surgical treatment of equinus or eguinovarus deformity in cerebral palsy patient. It is a serious complication and the results of many conservative and operative treatments are reported unsatisfactory. We experienced one case of both calcaneovalgus deformity following operative treatment of diplegic equinovarus deformity in a spastic cerebral palsy patient and report about the result of the treatment.
