In this paper, the dynamic system modeling and the state sensitivity analysis of the spin-coater system are proposed for the reduction of the vibration. In the respect of modeling, the spin-coater system is considered to be composed of servomotor, spindle, supporting base and so on. Each component of model is combined and derived to 3 dimensional equations. The combined model is verified by experimental values of actual system in the frequency domain. By direct differentiation of the constraint equations with respect to kinematic design variables, such as eccentricity of spindle, moment of inertia, rotational stiffness and damping of supported base, sensitivity equations are derived to the verified state equations. Sensitivity of design variables could be used for vibration reduction and natural frequency shift in the frequency domain. Finally, dominant design variables are selected from the sensitivity analysis.

A continuum-based design sensitivity analysis (DSA) method fur non-shape problems is developed for geometrically nonlinear elastic structures. The non-shape problem is characterized by the design variables that are not associated with the domain of system like sizing, material property, loading, and so on. Total Lagrangian formulation with the Green-Lagrange strain and the second Piola-Kirchhoff stress is employed to describe the geometrically nonlinear structures. The spatial domain is discretized using the 4-node isoparametric plane stress/strain elements. The resulting nonlinear system is solved using the Newton-Raphson iterative method. To take advantage of the derived analytical sensitivity In topology optimization, a fast and efficient design sensitivity analysis method, adjoint variable method, is employed and the material property of each element is selected as non-shape design variable. Combining the design sensitivity analysis method and a gradient-based design optimization algorithm, an automated design optimization method is developed. The comparison of the analytical sensitivity with the finite difference results shows excellent agreement. Also application to the topology design optimization problem suggests a very good insight for the layout design.
Design sensitivity analysis method for the vibration of vehicle structure is developed using adjoint variable method. A variational approach with complex response method is used to derive sensitivity expression. To evaluate sensitivity, FEM analysis of ship deck and vehicle structure are performed using MSC/NASTRAN installed in the super computer CRAY2S, and sensitivity computation is performed by PC. The accuracy of sensitivity is verified by the results of finite difference method. When compared to structural analysis time on CRAY2S, sensitivity computation is remarkably economical. The sensitivity of vehicle frame can be used to reduce the vibration responses such as displacement and acceleration of vehicle.
The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of social face sensitivity on vanity and consumption behavior. Questionnaires were administered to 461 college students living in Deagu Metropolitan City and Kyungbook province. Frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, and t-test were used for data analysis. Social face sensitivity was categorized into consciousness of being embarrassed, social formality, other consciousness and prestigiousness. Vanity factors were found as physical price, achievement concern, achievement price, and physical concern. Consumption behavior were categorized into 5 factors such as ostentatious consumption, impulsive buying, external information search, brand trust, utilization of internet information and material-oriented. Consciousness of being embarrassed, social formality, and other consciousness, the sub-variables of social face sensitivity had significant effects on achievement concerns and physical concerns. Other consciousness of social face sensitivity had significant effects on all factors of consumption behaviors. There was significant differences in the prestige of social face sensitivity and physical concerns of vanity and ostentatious consumption, impulsive buying, and also in external information search and utilization of internet information of consumer behavior. This indicates that women showed high physical concerns for vanity and ostentatious consumption, impulsive buying, external information search and utilization of internet information of consumption behavior while men care more about prestigiousness of social face sensitivity.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of female adolescents' rejection sensitivity, impulsivity and guilt on their binge eating behavior. Questionnaires on rejection sensitivity, impulsivity, guilt and binge eating behavior were administered to 607 female adolescents in Changwon and Ulsan. Of 572 collected copies, 402 were deemed valid and statistically analyzed through frequency analysis, mean and standard deviation, t-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis using SPSS Win 12.0. The results of the study were as follows: 1) School type was found to make a significant difference in rejection sensitivity, overall impulsivity, guilt and binge eating behavior; however, its influence was not significant on the sub-factors of impulsivity: motor impulsivity, unplanned impulsivity and cognitive impulsivity. 2) For female middle school students, rejection anger sensitivity, rejection depression sensitivity and motor impulsivity were found to have a significant influence on binge eating behavior for both middle school and high school girls. Guilt, however, was found to be influential for female high school students only. 3) Impulsivity was found to have a partial mediating effect on the relationship between female adolescents' rejection sensitivity and binge eating behavior.

The purpose of RAM analysis in weapon systems is to reduce life cycle costs, along with improving combat readiness by meeting RAM target value. We analyzed the sensitivity of the RAM analysis parameters to the use of the operating system by using the Markov Process based model (MPS, Markov Process Simulation) developed for RAM analysis. A Markov process-based RAM analysis model was developed to analyze the sensitivity of parameters (MTBF, MTTR and ALDT) to the utility of the 81mm mortar. The time required for the application to reach the steady state is about 15,000H, which is about 2 years, and the sensitivity of the parameter is highest for ALDT. In order to improve combat readiness, there is a need for continuous improvement in ALDT.

An optimum design algorithm using efficient reanalysis is proposed for reliability-based optimization problems formulated as the minimization of initial cost and expected failure cost with reliability constraints. The reliability-based optimization is high cost to evaluate objective function and constraints needed reliability analysis. Therefore the sensitivity analysis of reliability index for approximated reanalysis is necessary. In this paper, three solution approaches are suggested and tested. The approaches include : (1) sensitivity analysis using finite difference; (2) sensitivity analysis using automatic differentiation (AD); and (3) sensitivity analysis with respect to intermediate variables using AD. Numerical example is optimized to show the reliability and effectiveness of the new algorithm.

In this paper, a sensitivity analysis technique is presented for performing effective structural optimization of bus system. Design sensitivities are analyzed on natural frequency of bus substructures using super-element. Vibration modes of substructure, which large affect on the global vibration mode of bus B.I.W., are found through the sensitivity analysis using the chain rule. And design variables, which are determined from the sensitivity analysis, are changed through optimum design.

This study describes a range sensitivity of a canard controlled missile. An investigation was conducted into the relative importance of aerodynamic parameters on a guided missile. Also this study was analyzed by quantifying their effects on the missile range. To analyze the range sensitivity of a guided missile, a trajectory analysis program of a guided missile was developed. The range sensitivity analysis was conducted on a thrust, weight, drag and lift. The result of the range sensitivity analysis shows that the design parameters with the greatest effect on the missile range are thrust, drag, weight, and lift, in descending order of importance. The thrust on range extension is quite obvious to extend a range of a guided missile. In particular, the drag exhibited greater range sensitivity than lift at a guided flight. The result also shows that missile range could be maximized by applying the appropriate launch angle and canard pitch-up control.

Authors previously suggested the design sensitivity analysis based on transmissibility function and identified the sensitivity of measured point over the small modification of system dynamics. On the other hand, the acceleration data will not reveal the strain information at the same location and authors suggested energy isoclines that successfully predict the fatigue damage on the interesting location to overcome the drawback of acceleration over fatigue society. Both of methodologies, sensitivity analysis and fatigue damage prediction, commonly use the response acceleration response as main indicator. In this paper, authors investigate the advanced method of vibration fatigue prediction using design sensitivity analysis to enhance the accuracy of predicted accumulated fatigue. Uni-axial vibration testing is performed with finite element model of a simple notched specimen and the prediction of fatigue damage at notched location is conducted for accelerations at different measurement locations that show different sensitivity contribution, either.
