디지털 시대의 제품 이미지 통합화 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study of the image integration of Product in the digital age)

  • 제품개발에 있어 도구의 활용은 시대별로 급속하게 발전되어 사용되었고 오늘날과 같은 컴퓨터 디지털화는 대부분의 공장제 대향생산체계에서 필수 불가결한 공정으로 자리 매김 하였다. 이러한 환경변화에서 제품의 기획단계부터 최종 양산단계에 이르기까지 디자이너의 감성적 욕구를 체계적이고 합리적인 정보환경구축으로 디지털화 함으로써 최종 소비자인 고객의 다양한 요구를 만족시켜야 한다. 시대의 패자(覇者)가 되고자 하는 기업은 앞다투어 정보를 효율적으로 처리하는 유용한 도구럿 컴퓨터를 도입하였고, 이러한 컴퓨터는 인간보다 훨씬 우수한 계산능력을 발휘하여 그 기대에 부응하였으며 전자기술의 발전에 힘입어 컴퓨터의 고성능화, 경제화, 소형화, 통합화를 기능하게 만들어 우리의 디자인 개발환경은 과거와 비교할 수 없을 정도로 많은 정보를 접할 수 있게 되었다. 그렇지만 아무리 좋은 정보라도 사용되고 활용되지 않으면 의미가 없기 때문에 어디서든 필요에 따라 그 정보를 취할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 디지털 컴퓨터의 소형화, 통합화 발전동향 및 정보화사회에 있어 컴퓨터 통신의 미래기능성을 살피고 정보화된 디자인 환경과 제품 이미지 동일화 디자인 전략을 컴퓨터에 의한 응용 프로그램의 활용으로 디자이너의 다각화된 신제품 개발능력을 향상기킬 수 있는 방안을 모색한다.

유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 축류 송풍기 설계최적화 (Design Optimization of Axial Flow Fan Using Genetic Algorithm)

  • In an attempt to solve multiobjective optimization problems, weighted sum method is most widely used for the advantage that a designer can consider the relative significance of each object functions by weight values but it can be highly sensitive to weight vector and occasionally yield a deviated optimum from the relative weighting values designer designated because the multiobjective function has the form of simple sum of the product of the weighting values and the object functions in traditional approach. To search the design solution agree well to the designer's weighting values, we proposed new multiobjective function which was the functional of each normalized objective functions and considered to find the design solution comparing the distance between the characteristic line and the ideal optimum. In this study, proposed multiobjective function was applied to design high efficiency and low noise axial flow fan and the result shows this approach is effective for the case that the quality of the design can be highly affected by the designer's subjectiveness represented as weighting values in multiobjective design optimization process.

Development of Web-based Design Review System for Reliability and Safety Knowledge Management

  • This paper describes a web-based design review system as a knowledge management system relating reliability and safety system design. Since people's consciousness for safety and security become sensitive and increases the need of establishing a proactive prevention method for internal failures and relating risks in products. It also means that prevailing tacit knowledge in retired workers, in order to transform them to be easily used to support new system development, become more important. When considering safety and reliability design, at least two data sheet are necessary; Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) and Risk Assessment (RA). These two data are practically made separately. However, it includes the concerns that a risk by failures during long-term use may not be noticed. To overcome this insufficiency, a support tool for integrating reliability evaluation and risk assessment data simultaneously is expected to be revealed. The authors have then developed a web-based design review system for reliability and safety system design. The system include various profitable functions; making FMEA and RA sheet, retrieving past data sheet for engineering change management and new product development and web-based discussion to increase the efficiency of discussion. The system is applied to one practical development works in order to demonstrate its effectiveness that is to be made clear by interviewing user's qualitative comment.

의류브랜드 소비자의 고객관계관리 경험에 관한 탐색적 연구 - 남성복, 여성복, 캐주얼, 스포츠의류 소비자의 비교를 중심으로 - (A Qualitative Research about the CRM Experiences of Apparel Brand Customers)

  • The purpose of this study were 1) to analyze customer relationship management(CRM) based on the online customer experiences by product types (i.e., men's, women's, casual, sports wear), 2) to analyze CRM based on the off-line customer experiences by product type, and 3) to examine customer purchase behavior of fashion products and internet usage behavior by product types. Survey and 1:1 interview were conducted from January 13th to May 16th, 2005. Six consumers from each brand (i.e., 3 loyal customers and 3 general customers) in a total of 24 customers were selected from each product type. For the data analysis, content analysis and descriptive statistics (i.e. frequency) were used. Among the key study findings first, as a result of the on-line CRM experience, the customers of men's wear preferred receiving customized information through e-mail or SMS service. The customers of sports wear preferred receiving a different level of information and participating in customized product service. Second, as a result of the off-line CRM experience, the customers of men's wear need to be encouraged to join a membership at a sales encounter and the customers of women's wear preferred receiving quick information of new products and participating in a design development planning of the merchandising process. Third, the purchasing behavior of the customers of women's wear are influenced mostly by the salesperson and the store atmosphere when they purchase clothes and the customers of men's wear are price-sensitive. The results of this study can be used when fashion brands perform strategic planning and decision making on CRM.

Product Analysis and Development of Amblyopia Eye Patch for Children

  • In the present study, the materials, sizes, and designs of blind eye patch products of skin-adhesive type and glass-attachment type currently available in the market will be analyzed and ergonomically appropriate blind eye patches will be developed. Although these skin-adhesive type eye patches were easy to use, they had shortcomings such as skin troubles due to the adhesive used on the weak and sensitive skin of children and the fact that eyebrows are pulled out and the skin is irritated when the eye patches are detached after being attached. The non-adhesive type eye patches were blind patches to be worn by putting into glasses. These products were made using diverse materials such as neoprene, non-woven fabrics, and felt and showed differences in tactile impressions and irritation to the skin depending on material characteristics. In addition, most products were efficient in blocking light with three-dimensional oval designs comprising darts. In the present study, blind eye patches were designed to reduce skin troubles by using sweat-absorbing and quick-drying functional materials with soft tactile impressions. In addition, to increase the effect to block light and the degree of tight contact with the skin when the blind eye patches are worn compared to existing eye patch designs, the sides of the wings of the blind eye patches were widened, glass frame fixing plates were added, and the darts were made to be curved thereby making an ergonomic design reflecting the shape of the face. The non-adhesive type blind eye patches developed in the present study are considered to enhance the wearing sensation with the use of the material without skin irritation but with cushioning feelings and the ergonomic design reflecting the contour of the face.

Taguchi's Robust Design Method for Optimization of Lysophosphatidic Acid Production in an Open Reactor System

  • The determination of appropriate parameters and parameter conditions is very important for the optimization of production of target materials. Taguchi's method has been used widely as the basis for development trials and optimization during industrial process design. Reaction variables which influence product yield are easily determined and their effects are revealed by just a few reactions, negating the need for extensive experimental investigation. There are usually some factors that are responsible for variations in process characteristics, so called noise factors. Controlling noise factors is very costly and difficult or impossible. Taguchi's experimental design method was examined to determine the control factor's level that is less sensitive to the changes in environmental conditions and other noise factors without control of noise factors. In this study, optimization of lipase-catalyzed production of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) which has various physiological functions was performed by Taguchi's method. We obtained LPA yields ($66.5\%$) with low variance (5.32) at 400 RPM, molar ratio of 40 : 3 (mol) (fatty acid: G-3-P), 48 h, and $50^{\circ}C$. Thus, bioactive LPA with a desired fatty acid moiety could be produced with high yields and low variance despite various environmental noise factors.

  • 본 논문은 바코드의 유용성과 편리함을 개인 휴대폰에 결합하기 위한 Lock 시스템 설계 구현에 관한 내용이다. 본 연구에서는 바코드 스캐너 구성, 스캐너 설계, 휴대폰을 이용한 Lock 시스템 설계와 시제품 소개로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구를 보안 시스템에 적용 될 때 물리적 key 개념이 없어지고 휴대폰이 보안의 중심이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대되며 양방향 서비스가 가능해짐으로써 시공간의 제약을 극복한 결제가 가능함으로 활용이 확대될 것으로 예상된다. 향후 연구과제로는 다양한 응용분야에서의 적용 및 고감도 장치 개발을 들 수 있다.

세계 시장을 주도하는 소형 가전의 품질평가 사례 연구 - 식품건조기를 중심으로 - (A Case Study on the Quality Evaluation of the Leading Small Domestic Appliances in the Global Market - Focusing on the Food Dehydrator -)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study is to gain a competitive advantage in the global marketplace by examining the current situation of three domestic Food Dehydrator companies' products. Food Dehydrators are sort of small domestic appliances(SDA), first introduced by Korean companies. Furthermore, this study suggests the improvement plans in the rapidly changing world situation. Methods: Evaluate through comparing three domestic Food Dehydrator companies' products based on the PQI(Premium Quality Index) model, developed by product quality evaluation experts group. Results: At first, we classified evaluation factors into three parts - usability quality, emotional quality - and each of the factors includes sub factors. Under this condition, the results of this study are as follows; the brand quality is remaining at a high satisfaction level compare to other two factors but emotional quality is assessed to be low. This study has shown at customers consider brand and usability quality factors as the most important factor due to the nature of the product. Conclusion: As the possibility of increasing customer needs such as product design and sensitive quality besides usability quality has risen in a competitive global market, the manufacturing companies in Korea are recommended to put forth the necessary effort to improve their product quality, especially in terms of emotional quality.

소비자 선호 감성이미지 기반 남성용면도기 디자인 전략 (Design Strategies of a Shaver for Men based on Consumers' Sensitive Images of Preference)

  • 본 연구는 제품디자인에 관련한 소비자의 선호와 감성이미지를 파악하여 선호감성이미지를 확인하고 이를 충족시키는 제품디자인요소를 추론하여 소비자가 원하는 디자인을 제공할 수 있는 가장 근본적인 가정인 제품디자인선호-감성이미지-디자인요소의 인과구조를 통해 소비자 감성 지향적 디자인방향에 대한 지침을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 남성용면도기를 연구대상물로 선정하였고, 감성이미지단어들을 추출하기 위한 파일로트 테스트(pilot test)와, 감성이미지단어항목과 선호도를 측정하기 위해 의미차이법을 이용하여 설문을 구성하여 조사, 분석하였다. 결과에 따르면 남성용면도기 디자인전략으로는 소비자들은 남성용면도기제품을 "고급스럽고, 예쁘며, 안정적인" 감성이미지가 높을수록 선호하는데 이 이미지를 충족시키기 위해서는 "바디가 호형도 다각형도 아니고 재질이 스틸이고, 버튼이 푸시형이며, 재질이 스틸, 컬러는 갈색이 아닌 컬러"인 디자인요소가 디자인요소들간에 trade-off관계를 고려하여 조합되어져야한다. 본 연구는 이론적으로는 선호도-감성이미지-디자인요소의 인과 구조에 대한 연구에 기초를 제공하고 실무적으로는 소비자 감성 지향적 디자인을 전망할 수 있는 디자인 프로세스를 제공한다.
