Visual Semantic Based 3D Video Retrieval System Using HDFS

  • This paper brings out a neoteric frame of reference for visual semantic based 3d video search and retrieval applications. Newfangled 3D retrieval application spotlight on shape analysis like object matching, classification and retrieval not only sticking up entirely with video retrieval. In this ambit, we delve into 3D-CBVR (Content Based Video Retrieval) concept for the first time. For this purpose we intent to hitch on BOVW and Mapreduce in 3D framework. Here, we tried to coalesce shape, color and texture for feature extraction. For this purpose, we have used combination of geometric & topological features for shape and 3D co-occurrence matrix for color and texture. After thriving extraction of local descriptors, TB-PCT (Threshold Based- Predictive Clustering Tree) algorithm is used to generate visual codebook. Further, matching is performed using soft weighting scheme with L2 distance function. As a final step, retrieved results are ranked according to the Index value and produce results .In order to handle prodigious amount of data and Efficacious retrieval, we have incorporated HDFS in our Intellection. Using 3D video dataset, we fiture the performance of our proposed system which can pan out that the proposed work gives meticulous result and also reduce the time intricacy.

An effective approach to generate Wikipedia infobox of movie domain using semi-structured data

  • Wikipedia infoboxes have emerged as an important structured information source on the web. To compose infobox for an article, considerable amount of manual effort is required from an author. Due to this manual involvement, infobox suffers from inconsistency, data heterogeneity, incompleteness, schema drift etc. Prior works attempted to solve those problems by generating infobox automatically based on the corresponding article text. However, there are many articles in Wikipedia that do not have enough text content to generate infobox. In this paper, we present an automated approach to generate infobox for movie domain of Wikipedia by extracting information from several sources of the web instead of relying on article text only. The proposed methodology has been developed using semantic relations of article content and available semi-structured information of the web. It processes the article text through some classification processes to identify the template from the large pool of template list. Finally, it extracts the information for the corresponding template attributes from web and thus generates infobox. Through a comprehensive experimental evaluation the proposed scheme was demonstrated as an effective and efficient approach to generate Wikipedia infobox.

  • The conventional Boolean retrieval systems based on vector spae model can provide the results of retrieval fast, they can't reflect exactly user's retrieval purpose including semantic information. Consequently, the results of retrieval process are very different from those users expected. This fact forces users to waste much time for finding expected documents among retrieved documents. In his paper, we designed a bayesian SOM(Self-Organizing feature Maps) in combination with bayesian statistical method and Kohonen network as a kind of unsupervised learning, then perform classifying documents depending on the semantic similarity to user query in real time. If it is difficult to observe statistical characteristics as there are less than 30 documents for clustering, the number of documents must be increased to at least 50. Also, to give high rank to the documents which is most similar to user query semantically among generalized classifications for generalized clusters, we find the similarity by means of Kohonen centroid of each document classification and adjust the secondary rank depending on the similarity.

The Types of Family System and Psychological Distance in Family Perceived by Adolescent Child (청소년기 자녀가 지각한 가족체계유형과 가족내 심리적 거리)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the psychological distance through semantic app-roach perceived by adolescent child in the subtypes of 'Extrem Family' dysfunctional families by classification of Olson and his associates ' Circrumplex Model. The subjects of this research were 1072 abolescents living in Seoul. Korea The survey methods were questionnaires including FACES II and The Psychological Distance Scale. Data were analyzed by means of the statistics of frequency percentage arithematic mean standard devia-tion crosstabs and one way-anova. The major findings are as follows: 1) The levels of family cohesion family adaptibility and the psychologival distances with father mother and siblings perceived by adolescent were high. 2) The most of subject's families belonged to 'Balanced Family' in the types of family system ' Extreme Family' type showed the lowest frequency and the main subtypes of it that had the highest frequency were 'Enmeshed Chaotic Family' ' Disengaged Rigid Family' 3) While adolescents of 'Enmeshed Chaotic Family' perceived most closely with other family members. those of 'Disengated Rigid Family' most distantly totally and in evaluation potency and activity three subfactors in psychological distance. 4) There were differences of unit points in subfactors of psychological distances with other family members perceived by adolescents according to the types of family system. While the points of 'Enmeshed Chaotic Family' were the highest those of 'Disengaged Rigid Family' were the lowest. 5) While 'Enmeshed Chaotic Family' were located most closely 'Disengaged Rigid Family' were located most distantly in the mutual distances and direct distances among family concepts on semantic space.

  • In this paper, we describe the syntactic and semantic parsing methods which use the case frames. The case structures based on obligatory cases of verbs. And, we use a small set of partial-garammar rules based on simple sentence to represent such case structures. Also, we enhance the efficiency by constructing independent procedure for particle classification and ambiguity resolution of major particle considering the importance of Japanese particle process in the generation. And we construct the generation table considering the combination possibility between the verbs and auxiliary verbs for processing the termination phrase. Therefore we can generate more natural translated sentence according to unique decision with information of syntactic analysis and simplify the generating process.

  • According to increasing of accessing multimedia stream contents, Web services have become popular. However, these Web services are not supported with the same quality to Web clients who frequently access multimedia services. This paper proposes ontological technique to apply client level Quality of Service(QoS) that provides two different levels to serve Web service with proper quality by contribution value. And, it describes with UML(Unified Modeling Language) how to relate QoS and SLA(Service Level Agreement). Main contribution of this paper is to support client level QoS and SLA and to use Ontology for it. Therefore, this work uses an ontology-based approach to organize QoS and SLA, enabling semantic classification of all Web services based on domains and QoS and SLA attributes.

  • As menu structure of household appliance is complicated, user's cognitive workload frequently occurs errors. In existing studies, errors didn't present that interpretation for cognitive factors and alternatives, but are only considered as statistical frequency. Therefore, error classification and analysis in tasks is inevitable in usability evaluation. This study classified human error throughout information process model and navigation behavior. Human error is defined as incorrect decision and behavior reducing performance. And navigation is defined as unrelated behavior with target item searching. We searched and analyzed human errors and its causes as a case study, using mobile phone which could control appliances in near future. In this study, semantic problems in menu structure were elicited by SAT. Scenarios were constructed by those. Error analysis tests were performed twice to search and analyze errors. In 1st prototype test, we searched errors occurred in process of each scenario. Menu structure was revised to be based on results of error analysis. Henceforth, 2nd Prototype test was performed to compare with 1st. Error analysis method could detect not only mistakes, problems occurred by semantic structure, but also slips by physical structure. These results can be applied to analyze cognitive causes of human errors and to solve their problems in menu structure of electronic products.

  • This paper presents a Korean conversational agent system in a mobile environment using natural language processing techniques. The aim of a conversational agent in mobile environment is to provide natural language interface and enable more natural interaction between a human and an agent. Constructing such an agent, it is required to develop various natural language understanding components and effective utterance generation methods. To understand spoken style utterance, we perform morphosyntactic analysis, shallow semantic analysis including modality classification and predicate argument structure analysis, and to generate a system utterance, we perform example based search which considers lexical similarity, syntactic similarity and semantic similarity.

  • Various controlled vocabularies such as thesaurus and classification used for effective information retrieval contain different terms in expressing the same concept or meaning. National Library of Medicine has developed the Unified Medical Language System(UMLS) to solve the problems of information retrieval and integration resulted from the difference of concepts between different sources. The UMLS development was initiated in 1982 as a long-term project, and the 2001 edition of the UMLS consists of three parts : Metathesaurus, Semantic Network, and SPECIALIST Lexicon. This paper reviews background and structure of the UMLS including applications in PubMed, NLM Gateway.

  • 본 논문은 한국어 문서 감정분류를 위한 중요한 어휘 자원인 감정자질(Sentiment Feature)의 의미지향성(Semantic Orientation) 추정을 위해 일반적인 특성과 영역(Domain) 의존적인 특성을 반영하여 한국어 문서 감정분류(Sentiment Classification)의 성능 향상을 얻을 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 감정자질의 의미지 향성은 검색 엔진을 통해 추출한 각 감정 자질의 스니핏(Snippet)과 실험 말뭉치를 이용하여 추정할 수 있다. 검색 엔진을 통해 추출된 스니핏은 감정자질의 일반적인 특성을 반영하며, 실험 말뭉치는 분류하고자 하는 영역 의존적인 특성을 반영한다. 이렇게 얻어진 감정자질의 의미지향성 수치는 각 문장의 감정강도를 추정하기 위해 이용되며, 문장의 감정 강도의 값을 TF-IDF 가중치 기법에 접목하여 감정자질의 가중치를 책정한다. 최종적으로 학습 과정에서 긍정 문서에서는 긍정 감정자질, 부정 문서에서는 부정 감정자질을 대상으로 추가 가중치를 부여하여 학습하였다. 본 논문에서는 문서 분류에 뛰어난 성능을 보여주는 지지 벡터 기계(Support Vector Machine)를 사용하여 제안한 방법의 성능을 평가한다. 평가 결과, 일반적인 정보 검색에서 사용하는 내용어(Content Word) 기반의 자질을 사용한 경우보다 3.1%의 성능향상을 보였다.
