증기발생기 수위제어를 위한 자기동조 퍼지 PID 제어기 개발 (Development of a Self-tuning Fuzzy-PID Controller for Water Level of Steam Generator)

  • The water level control of a steam generator in the unclear power plant is an important process. Most of the water level controllers of the actual plant are PID controllers. But they have limitations in appling for tracking the set point and getting rid of disturbances, so there are some defects to apply in the actual ground even though many research works represented the resolutions to solve it. In this paper, it is suggested that the established simple PID controller in low power has the ability to remove disturbances and trace the set-point, and then possesses the real-time self-tuning function according to the variety of moving peculiarity of a plant. This function realized by making use of fuzzy logic. PID parameters are formulated by a variable ${\alpha}$ and made it fluctuate by a fuzzy inference according to level error and level error change. This mechanism makes application of actual plant effective as well as taking advantage of improving the efficiency of water level controller by way of adding the function of self-tuning instead of replacing PID controller. The computer simulation of this scheme shows the improved performance compare to conventional PID controller.

  • 본 논문에서는 위상각 제어에서 주어진 턴온 각에서 최대의 토크를 유지하기 위한 적절한 턴오프 각을 자기동조방식(self-tuning method)에 의해 결정하는 방식을 제안하였다. 엔코더에 의해 샘플링 시간(sampling time)동안 구해진 펄스 수는 바로 이전의 샘플링시간 동안 구해진 펄스 수와 비교하여 턴오프 각을 앞으로 또는 뒤로 이동한다. 이러한 과정을 되풀이함으로서 최대 토크를 발생하는 턴오프 각을 결정하게 된다. 실제 회로에서는 원 칩 마이크로프로세서에 의해 처리되었으며 실험을 통해 턴온 각이 변하더라도 자기동조방식에 의해 턴오프 각을 조정하면 빠른 속도가 유지됨을 보여 주었다.

  • In this paper, We propose a PID-type of self-tuning algorithm which is based on the parameter estimation and the minimization of the cost function. We use the CARIMA model for parameter estimation and determine the discrete PID controller parameters by minimizing the cost function which considers the quadratic deviations of the predicted output over the set-point as well as the control efforts. Also, The algorithm is extended by incorporating constraints of the control signal. Simulations are performed to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, compliant motion control of a manipualator in manipulator is proposed by using the self-tuning adaptive controller. Compliant motion is needed in order to applicated to complicated and accurate fields such as assembly operation in which several parts are matched. For a control method of compliant motion hybrid control is used so forces and position control are proposed selectively through a closed feedback loop. By contacting with environment, the uncertainties higher. Self-tuning controller which adapts to variable dynamic response is applied to compliant motion control in order to satisfy the desired operation. The applicability of the suggested algorithm was confined by simulation of the contour tracking task of four joint manipulator.

  • In this paper, we proposed a self tuning adaptive fuzzy sliding control algorithms using gadient descent method to reduce chattering phenomenon which is viewed in variable control system. In design of FLC, fuzzy control rules are obtained from expert's experience and intuition and it is very difficult to obtain them. We proposed an adaptive algorithm which is automatically updated by consequence part parameter of control rules in order to reduce chattering phenomenon and simultaneously to satisfy the sliding mode condition. The proposed algorithm has the characteristics which are viewed in conventional VSC, e.g. insensitivity to a class of disturbance, parameter variations and uncertainties in the sliding mode. To demonstrate its performance, the proposed control algorithm is applied to an inverted pendulum system. The results show that both alleviation of chattering and performance are achieved.

  • A rule based fuzzy expert system in self-tune PID controllers is presented in this paper. The rule base. the core of the expert system, is extracted from the Wills' tuning map and the author's knowledge about the implicit relations between PID gains and controlled output response. The overall control system consists of the relay feedback scheme and the expert system, where the one is responsible for initial tuning and the other for subsequent tuning. The PID control system with the proposed fuzzy expert system, shows better convergence rate and control performances than those of a Litt in spite of the fact that the two rule bases are extracted from the same maps provided by Wills.

  • In this paper, recurrent artificial neural network (RNN) based self tuning speed controller is proposed for the high performance drives of induction motor. RNN provides a nonlinear modeling of motor drive system and could give the information of the load variation, system noise and parameter variation of induction motor to the controller through the on-line estimated weights of corresponding RNN. Thus, proposed self tuning controller can change gains of the controller according to system conditions. The gain is composed with the weights of RNN. For the on-line estimation of the weights of RNN, extended kalman filter (EKF) algorithm is used. Self tuning controller that is adequate for the speed control of induction motor is designed. The availability of the proposed controller is verified through the MATLAB simulation with the comparison of conventional PI controller.

  • The main objective of the research work presented in this article is to present a systematic approach for designing a multilayer feed-forward artificial neural network based self-tuning power system stabilizer (ST-ANNPSS). In order to suggest an approach for selecting the number of neurons in the hidden layer, the dynamic performance of the system with ST-ANNPSS is studied and hence compared with that of conventional PSS. Finally the effect of variation of loading condition and equivalent reactance, Xe is investigated on dynamic performance of the system with ST-ANNPSS. Investigations reveal that ANN with one hidden layer comprising nine neurons is adequate and sufficient for ST-ANNPSS. Studies show that the dynamic performance of STANNPSS is quite superior to that of conventional PSS for the loading condition different from the nominal. Also it is revealed that the performance of ST-ANNPSS is quite robust to a wide variation in loading condition.

  • A nonlinear self-tuning regulator for a neutralization process of a weak acid and strong base system is proposed. Rearranging the state equation of the process model, we first obtain equations which are linear for a manipulated variable or unknown parameters. Then to these equations we apply the standard procedure used in designing linear self-tuning regulators. Simulation results show that the regulator provides very good performances for various realistic situations and traces variations of the unknown parameters. Since computations are simple and additional measurements except the effluent pH value are only flow rates of influent streams, it can be easily applied to real processes such as a waste water treatment process.

  • In the single-input and single-output system, the parameter of plant is scalar polynomial, but in the multiple input and multiple output, it accompanies, being matrix polynomial, the consideration of observable conrolability index or problems of non-commutation in matrix polynomial as well as degree, and it is more complex to deal with. Therefore, it is thought that a full reserach on the single-input and single-output system is not made. This reserach propose that problems of minimum variance self-tuning regulator of multivariable system and pole placement self-tuning regulator.
