치과의료관광에 대한 인식과 활성화 방안 (Awareness and activation towards dental medical tourism)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the awareness and activation towards dental medical tourism. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 195 dental hygienists in Seoul from January 30 to September 15, 2014. Data were analyzed by one way ANOVA, chi square and t test using SPSS 19.0 program. the questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects, awareness towards medical tourism, medical tourism related hospitals, activation of Korean medical tourism, fields of medical tourism, and improvement of medical tourism. The questionnaire was adapted and modified from Kim and Kim by Likert scale. Results: Dental hygienists gave the high perception and possibility towards medical tourism (94.1%). Those carrying out medical tourism accounted for 39.5 percent. The most difficult problem was communication with foreigners (80.5%). The performance of prosthesis and anesthesia was the most specialized area that supported the medical tourism (84.1%). In order to improve the medical tourism implementation, dental medical technology must be strengthened (39.8%). Conclusion: The desirable dental medical tourism must be carried out by proficient dental medical manpower, higher technology, active participation and financial support by the government. This dental medical tourism will provide job opening for the dental hygienists.

  • We present the effects of rapid thermal annealing (RTA) temperature on the structural and optical properties of self-assembled InAs quantum dot (QD) structures grown on GaAs substrates by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). The photoluminescence (PL) measurements are performed in a closed-cycle refrigerator as a function of temperature for the unannealed and annealed samples. RTA at higher temperature results in the increase in island size, the corresponding decrease in the density of islands, and the redshift in the PL emission from the islands. The temperature dependence of the PL peak energy for the InAs QDs is well expressed by the Varshni equation. The thermal quenching activation energies for the samples unannealed and annealed at $600^{\circ}C$ are found to be $25{\pm}5meV$ and $47{\pm}5$ meV, respectively.

  • The peculiarities of using Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis (SHS) and solid-stave chase synthesis for production of high temperature superconductor materials were discussed. Oxide superconductors with general formula of $ReBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (Re=Y, Sm) haute been made by using barium oxide initial powder instead of traditional barium carbonate. Phenomena observed during the grinding of the reactants mixture are presented. Mechano-chemical activation - as a pre-treatment of the reactants mixture - strongly influences the kinetic parameters, the reaction mechanism, and the composition and structure of the final product.

Fabrication of $SrZrO-3$-based Proton Conductors and Their Characterization

  • The Y- or Yb-doped SrZrO$_3$ proton conductors were fabricated using the powders prepared by the self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS). The electrical conductivity was evaluated from an a.c. impedance measurements. The conductivity of SrZr$_{0.92}$Yb$_{0.08}$O$_{3-\delta}$ was 1.8$\times$10$^{-3}$ Scm$^{-1}$ at $900^{\circ}C$ in dry air atmosphere and its activation energy was 0.50 eV. The conductivity in wet air was larger, compared with the dry air, and the activaton energy of SrZr$_{0.92}$Yb$_{0.08}$O$_{3-\delta}$ in wet air was 0.40 eV.

  • For the activation of the Sanhakyeon Consortium, the role of local universities is critical. It is necessary for the university professionals to bring forth detailed alternative plans to upgrade the technological power of the inferior local small & medium enterprises. This means that the local self-governing bodies must database local universities and professional personnel. As a result, the professionals that are needed by enterprises must be designated to those businesses. Also, the regional small and medium enterprises must develop research personnel to enhance their power of technology. To make this possible, the participating companies of Sanhakyeon Consortium should support the students who are participating in the Consortium with research funds, and also should consider how these students can work for those companies after graduation. Finally, the local self-governing bodies must support Sanhak's cooperative research on locally specialized Industries, by forming a technology-human power network between local universities and small Sl medium enterprises.

용융 폴리우레탄의 완화 스펙트럼에 의한 자체확산분포 결정 (Determination of Self Diffusion Distributions of Molten Polyurethanes by Relaxation Spectra)

  • 점탄성 용융 폴리우레탄의 자체확산분포가 완화스펙트럼과 자체확산분포 관계식으로부터 얻어졌다. ester, PCL PCL dyed 형의 용융 폴리우레탄의 완화스펙트럼은 실험적인 응력완화 곡선을 Ree-Eyring and Maxwell non-Newtonian model(REM 모델)이론식에 적용시켜서 얻는다. 용융폴리우레탄의 응력완화 실험은 온도조절 장치가 있는 physica 레오메타를 이용하여 여러 온도에서 수행되었다. 이론적인 완화스펙트럼은 REM model로부터 유도한 이론적인 완화스펙트럼식을 프로그램화한 컴퓨터 계산에서 구하였다. 폴리우레탄 시료의 자체확산과 비결정 영역의 홀거리가 응력완화 실험에 의해서 연구 조사되었다. 비결정 영역에서의 유동단위의 확산을 연구하기 위해서 확산계수와 홀부피가 유변학적인 파라메타와 결정크기로부터 계산되었다. 폴리우레탄 시료의 완화스펙트럼과 자체확산은 유동 단위의 분자량분포, 점도, 홀부피, 활성화에너지와 밀접한 관계가 있는 것을 알 수 있다.

의예과 학생의 셀프리더십, 자아존중감, 대인관계유능감, 대학생활적응 간의 관계 (Relationships among Self-Leadership, Self-Esteem, Interpersonal Competence, And College Life Adjustment of Premedical Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 의과대학 의예과 신입생들의 셀프리더십, 자아존중감, 대인관계유능감, 대학생활적응의 관계를 분석하여 대학생활적응을 보다 잘 할 수 있도록 돕기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 C지역 의과대학 의예과 신입생 131명이었다. 연구결과, 셀프리더십은 평균 3.86(±0.61), 자아존중감과 대인관계유능감, 대학생활적응은 평균 3.86(±.61), 3.44(±.48), 3.78(±.52)이였고, 성별은 차이가 없었다(p>0.05). 셀프리더십, 자아존중감, 대인관계유능감, 대학생활적응간에는 정적 상관관계가 나타났다(p<0.05). 셀프리더십은 자기존중감과 대인관계유능감을 매개로 하여 대학생활적응에 간접적으로 영향을 미치고, 자기존중감과 대인관계유능감은 대학생활적응에 직접적으로 영향을 미치며, 자기존중감은 대인관계유능감을 통해 대학생활적응에 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 의예과 신입생들의 대학생활적응에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 정보를 제공하고, 대학생활적응을 위하여 자아존중감은 필수적으로 교육해야 하는 내용임을 확인하였다. 본 연구가 대학생활적응을 돕기 위한 관련 교육프로그램을 개발하고 활성화하는데 활용될 수 있기는 기대한다.

Induction of tolerance against the arthritogenic antigen with type-II collagen peptide-linked soluble MHC class II molecules

  • In murine collagen-induced arthritis (CIA), self-reactive T cells can recognize peptide antigens derived from type-II collagen (CII). Activation of T cells is an important mediator of autoimmune diseases. Thus, T cells have become a focal point of study to treat autoimmune diseases. In this study, we evaluated the efficacy of recombinant MHC class II molecules in the regulation of antigen-specific T cells by using a self peptide derived from CII (CII260-274; IAGFKGEQGPKGEPG) linked to mouseI-Aq in a murine CIA model. We found that recombinant I-Aq/CII260-274 molecules could be recognized by CII-specific T cells and inhibit the same T cells in vitro. Furthermore, the development of CIA in mice was successfully prevented by in vivo injection of recombinant I-Aq/CII260-274 molecules. Thus, treatment with recombinant soluble MHC class II molecules in complex with an immunodominant self-peptide might offer a potential therapeutic for chronic inflammation in autoimmune disease such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Polyamine이 Spectinomycin에 의한 Group I Intron의 Splicing 억제에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Polyamine on the Self-splicing Inhibition of Group I Intron by Spectinomycin)

  • Cadaverine, putrescine, spermidine과 spermine이 spectinomycin에 의한 T4 파지 thymidylate synthase 유전자(td) intron의 splicing 억제에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. Polyamine이 존재하지 않는 상태에서 7mM spectinomycin은 splicing rate를 약 40% 감소시켰다. 사용한 농도 범위(0.1~5mM)에서 cadaverine은 splicing rate를 감소시켰으나, putrescine은 0.5mM 농도에서 약 13% 정도의 splicing rate를 증가시켰다. Spermidine은 0.5mM 농도에서 약 11% 정도의 splicing rate를 증가시켰으며, sperimine은 0.01mM 농도에서 약 16% 정도의 splicing rate을 증가시켰다. 시험한 polyamine 중에서 특히 sperimine은 가장 낮은 농도에서 spectinomycin에 의한 억제반응을 극복하는 최고의 활성효과를 나타냈다. 이와 같은 억제 회복 효과는 polyamine에 의한 td intron 리보자임의 구조적 안정성에 기인하는 것으로 추정된다.
