  • As a governmental plan for real estate revitalization, remodeling vertical extension has been permitted. Thus, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport preannounced proclaiming the revised Housing Act and establishing the remodeling basic plan, and it is anticipated that the remodeling market will be revitalized in earnest after the enforcement of remodeling vertical extension(April 25th. 2014). As vertical extension is applicable up to 3 stories, the safety of building for remodeling is becoming important, so most remodeling construction works use various methods for structural reinforcement. In this process, the selection of structural reinforcement method has depended on structural engineer's experience and knowledge and there has been a limitation in selecting the optimum structural reinforcement method which considers remodeling project characteristics. Therefore, this study analyzed the factors to determine the kinds of structural reinforcement method in a remodeling project and suggested a process to select the best structural reinforcement method of remodeling construction.

  • In this paper, we report new algorithms to select scan flip-flops for the no holding partial scan test method. The no holding partial scan test method is identical to the full scan test method except that some flip-flops are left unscanned. This test method does not hold scanned or unscanned flip-flops while shifting in test vectors, or applying them, or shifting out test results. The proposed algorithm allows a large number of flip-flops to be left unscanned while maintaining almost the complete full scan fault coverage.

  • The performance of simulated annealing (SA) algorithm such as solution optimality and computation time mainly depends on how to determine the SA-related parameters Several schemes have been suggested to improve the performance of SA and several parameter design methods have been utilized to select parameter values of each scheme. In this paper, we propose a new SA algorithm design method that can determine schemes as well as parameter values simultaneously The new SA algorithm design method is based on the Taguchl method which primarily selects the design parameters for a product or process to minimize the effect of noise parameters. so that the response is close to the desired target with minimum variation. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method, extensive computation experiments are conducted.

  • The metathesaurus(UMLS, 2003AA edition) supports multi language and includes 875, 233 concepts, 2, 146, 897 concept names. It is impossible for PubMed or NLM serve searching of the metatheaurus to retrieval using a query that is not to be text, a fault sentence structure or a part of concept name. That means the user notice correctly suitable medical words in order to get correct answer, otherwise she or he can't find information that they want to find I propose that the method of searching unified medical language system using automatic modified a query for problem that I mentioned. This method use dictionary that is standard for automation of modified query gauge similarity between query and dictionary using string comparison algorithm. And then, the tested term converse the form of metathesaurus for optimized result. For the evaluation of method, I select some query and I contrast NLM method that renewed Aug. 2003.

On the parallel merging algorithm (Heap 병합 병렬 알고리즘)

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest and analyze the parallel algorithm for merging two heaps, on SIMD-SM-R parallel computer. In order to create the parallel algorithm for merging two heaps, we have classified two subproblems. For the first method, to select node p as a LEVEL-FIND function, Wyllie(19) suggests the method with time complexity O(log n) while this thesis has O(log(n/k)). For the second method, to merge two subheap, our algorithm has O(log(n/k)*log(n)) using max(2**(i-1), 「(m+1)/4」)'s processors while Dekel and Sahni(4)'s method and Hong's method(18) have O(log m). Also our parallel algorithm's EPU is close to 1 and so has an optimal speed-up ratio.

  • In this paper, we propose a floral scent recognition using odor sensors and a odor display using odor distribution system. Proposed odor recognition has method of correlation coefficient between sensors that select optimal sensors in floral scent recognition system of selective multi-sensors. Proposed floral scent recognition system consists of four module such as floral scent acquisition module, optimal sensor decision module, entropy-based floral scent detection module, and floral scent recognition module. Odor distribution system consists of generation module of distribution information, control module of distribution, output module of distribution. We applied to floral scent recognition for performance evaluation of proposed sensors decision method. As a result, application of proposed method with floral scent recognition obtained recognition rate of 95.67% case of using 16 sensors while applied floral scent recognition system of proposed sensor decision method confirmed recognition rate of 96% using only 8 sensors. Also, we applied to odor display of proposed method and obtained 3.18 thorough MOS experimentation.

Analysis and Improvement of Interior Noise in a Passenger Car using Taguchi Orthogonal Array (다구찌 직교배열을 이용한 승용차의 실내소음 분석 및 개선)

  • The passenger car manufacturer should meet more and more strict requirements of customers on noise and vibration problems. It is proven that the Taguchi method is a powerful tool for improving the product quality in many areas. This paper employs the Taguchi method to reduce low-frequency booming noise in a passenger car. Selection of object function is very important to minimize interaction effects in the Taguchi method. We select logarithmic-scaled sound pressure level as an object function, which is commonly used to analyze the noise and vibration signals. The optimum noise level predicted with additive-model assumption agrees well with the test results. In addition, the optimum level is lower than the initial one by about 5 dB without any adverse effects. The results show that the Taguchi method can be applied efficiently to solve the noise problem in the passenger cars.

  • With the development of display hardware, image interpolation techniques have been used in various fields such as image zooming and medical imaging. Traditional image interpolation methods, such as bi-linear interpolation, bi-cubic interpolation and edge direction-based interpolation, perform interpolation in the spatial domain. Recently, interpolation techniques in the discrete cosine transform or wavelet domain are also proposed. Using these various existing interpolation methods and machine learning, we propose decision tree classification-based image interpolation methods. In other words, this paper is about the method of adaptively applying various existing interpolation methods, not the interpolation method itself. To obtain the decision model, we used Weka's J48 library with the C4.5 decision tree algorithm. The proposed method first constructs attribute set and select classes that means interpolation methods for classification model. And after training, interpolation is performed using different interpolation methods according to attributes characteristics. Simulation results show that the proposed method yields reasonable performance.

  • Classification results of rural villages provide useful information about rural village characteristics to select similar villages in rural development project; many researches about regional classification have been practiced. Recently rural amenity was introduced as an alternative for rural development, and rural villages have been surveyed to find potential resources for rural development by 'Rural Amenity Resources Survey Project'. Accumulated information through this survey project could be used to classify rural villages. However existing rural classification method using statistical data is not efficient method to use rural amenity resources information described with text. We introduced Information Bottleneck Method (IBM) based on information theory and implemented this method to classification with rural amenity resources information of Yanggang-myen, Yeongdong-gun in Chungbuk province.

A Method for Selecting Ground Motions Considering Target Response Spectrum Mean, Variance and Correlation - I Algorithm (응답 스펙트럼의 평균과 분산, 상관관계를 모두 고려한 지반운동 선정 방법 - I 알고리즘)

  • It is important to select an accurate set of ground motions when conducting linear and nonlinear response history analyses of structures. This study proposes a method for selecting ground motions from a ground motion library with response spectra that match the target response spectrum mean, variance and correlation structures. This study also has addressed the determination of an appropriate value for the weight factor of a correlation structure. The proposed method is conceptually simple and straightforward, and does not involve a simulation algorithm. In this method, a desired number of ground motions are sequentially selected from first to last. The proposed method can be also used for selecting ground motions with response spectra that match the conditional spectrum. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed procedure are verified with numerical examples.
