Multi-attribute risk assessments provide a useful framework for systematic quantitative risk assessment that the security manager can use to prioritize security requirements and threats. In the first step, the security managers identify the four significant outcome attributes(lost revenue, lost productivity, lost customer, and recovery cost). Next. the security manager estimates the frequency and severity(three points estimates for outcome attribute values) for each threat and rank the outcome attributes according to AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). Finally, we generate the threat index by using muiti-attribute function and make sensitivity analysis with simulation package(Crystal Ball). In this paper, we show how multi-attribute risk analysis techniques from the field of security risk management can be used by security managers to prioritize their organization's threats and their security requirements, eventually they can derive threat index. This threat index can help security managers to decide whether their security investment is consistent with the expected risks. In addition, sensitivity analysis allows the security manager to explore the estimates to understand how they affect the selection.

This study aims to identify security-based threat information for an organization. This is because protecting the threat for IT systems plays an important role for an corporate's intangible assets. Security monitoring systems determine and consequently respond threats by analyzing them in a real time situation, focusing on events and logs generated by security protection programs. The security monitoring task derives priority by dividing threat information into reputation information and analysis information. Reputation information consisted of Hash, URL, IP, and Domain, while, analysis information consisted of E-mail, CMD-Line, CVE, and attack trend information. As a result, the priority of reputation information was relatively high, and it is meaningful to increase accuracy and responsiveness to the threat information.

Recently, there has been a growing interest in threat hunting presented to overcome the limitations of existing security solutions. Threat hunting is generally recognized as a technique for identifying and eliminating threats that exit inside the system. But, the definition is not clear, so there is confusion in terms with penetration testing, intrusion detection, and incident analysis. Therefore, in this paper, compare and analyze the definitions of threat hunting extracted from reports and papers to clarify their implications and compare with defense techniques.

Cyber-attacks emerge in a more intelligent way, and various security technologies are applied to respond to such attacks. Still, more and more people agree that individual response to each intelligent infringement attack has a fundamental limit. Accordingly, the cyber threat intelligence analysis technology is drawing attention in analyzing the attacker group, interpreting the attack trend, and obtaining decision making information by collecting a large quantity of cyber-attack information and performing relation analysis. In this study, we proposed relation analysis factors and developed a system for establishing cyber threat intelligence, based on malicious code as a key means of cyber-attacks. As a result of collecting more than 36 million kinds of infringement information and conducting relation analysis, various implications that cannot be obtained by simple searches were derived. We expect actionable intelligence to be established in the true sense of the word if relation analysis logic is developed later.

As attackers try to paralyze information security systems, many researchers have investigated security testing to analyze vulnerabilities of information security products. Penetration testing, a critical step in the development of any secure product, is the practice of testing a computer systems to find vulnerabilities that an attacker could exploit. Security testing like penetration testing includes gathering information about the target before the test, identifying possible entry points, attempting to break in and reporting back the findings. Therefore, to obtain maximum generality, re-usability and efficiency is very useful for efficient security testing and vulnerability hunting activities. In this paper, we propose a threat analysis based software security testing technique for evaluating that the security functionality of target products provides the properties of self-protection and non-bypassability in order to respond to attacks to incapacitate or bypass the security features of the target products. We conduct a security threat analysis to identify vulnerabilities and establish a testing strategy according to software modules and security features/functions of the target products after threat analysis to improve re-usability and efficiency of software security testing. The proposed technique consists of threat analysis and classification, selection of right strategy for security testing, and security testing. We demonstrate our technique can systematically evaluate the strength of security systems by analyzing case studies and performing security tests.

Recently, the introduction of Cloud Managing Security Services System to respond to security threats in cloud computing environments is increasing. Accordingly, it is necessary to analyze the security requirements for the Cloud Managing Security Services System. However, the existing research has a problem that does not reflect the virtual environment of the cloud and the data flow of the Cloud Managing Security Services System in the process of deriving the requirements. To solve this problem, it is necessary to identify the information assets of the Cloud Managing Security Services System in the process of threat modeling analysis, visualize and display detailed components of the cloud virtual environment, and analyze the security threat by reflecting the data flow. Therefore, this paper intends to derive the security requirements of the Cloud Managing Security Services System through threat modeling analysis that is an improved existing research.
According to dictionary, the meaning of protection is "guard and protect" that means protecting the Protectee's safety in case of sudden attack or various accident and Security means all protecting activity including Protectee and place where he is in or will be as comprehensively meaning of safe. As you see in the definition, Protection and security is the act to protect or will to protect from a security-threat act. A security-threat act can be discussed in the range of the concept of a criminal act in Criminal Law. A security-threat act is based on criminal act in Criminal Law, we are going to review such a security-threat act in a point of view in a sphere of learning in today's remarkable a brain-neuro science and cognitive science based on cognitive psychology, and to use an analysis on such a security-threat act to make a foundation for a establishment of the scientific preventive social security countermeasure. To do so, First of all we are going to review a security-threat act based on criminal act in Criminal Law in a point of protection police logic view. Next, we are going to introduce how cognitive science understand about act of man before we analyse a threat act as one of an act of man in cognitive science point of view. Finally, we are going to discuss the need of cognitive scientific analyse in order to establish the Scientific Preventive Social-security Countermeasure at the same time we are going to analyse a threat act in a cognitive scientific view.

In this paper, the risk analysis of smart home services was implemented by applying threat modeling. Identified possible threats for safe deployment of smart home services and identified threats through the STRIDE model. Through the creation of the Attack Tree, the attackable risk was analyzed and the risk was measured by applying the DREAD model. The derived results can be used to protect assets and mitigate risk by preventing security vulnerabilities from compromising and identifying threats from adversely affecting services. In addition, the modeled result of the derived threat can be utilized as a basis for performing the security check of the smart home service.
The 5G is the 5th generation mobile network that provides enhanced mobile broadband, ultra-reliable & low latency communications, and massive machine-type communications. New services can be provided through multi-access edge computing, network function virtualization, and network slicing, which are key technologies in 5G mobile communication. However, these new technologies provide new attack paths and threats. In this paper, we analyzed the overall threats of 5G mobile communication through a literature review. First, defines 5G mobile communication, analyzes its features and technology architecture, and summarizes possible security issues. Addition, it presents security threats from the perspective of user devices, radio access network, multi-access edge computing, and core networks that constitute 5G mobile communication. After that, security requirements for threat factors were derived through literature analysis. The purpose of this study is to conduct a fundamental analysis to examine and assess the overall threat factors associated with 5G mobile communication. Through this, it will be possible to protect the information and assets of individuals and organizations that use 5G mobile communication technology, respond to various threat situations, and increase the overall level of 5G security.

As various IT and OT systems such as Electronic Chart Display and Information System and Automatic Identification System are used for ships, security elements that take into account even the ship's construction and navigation environment are required. However, cyber security research on the ship and shipbuilding ICT equipment industries is still lacking, and there is a lack of systematic methodologies through threat modeling. In this paper, the Data Flow Diagram was established in consideration of stakeholders approaching the ship system. Based on the Attack Library, which collects the security vulnerabilities and cases of ship systems, STRIDE methodologies and threat modeling using the Attack Tree are designed to identify possible threats from ships and to present ship cyber security measures.
