Cross-sectional TEM Specimens Priparation of Precisely Selected Regions of Semiconductor Devices using Focused Ion Beam Milling

  • A procedure for preparing cross-sectional specimens for transmission electron microscopy(TEM)by focused ion beam(FIB)milling of specific regions of semiconductor devices is outlined. This technique enables TEM specimens to be pripared at precisely preselected area. In-situ #W thin film deposition on the top surface of desired site is complementally used to secure the TEM specimens to be less wedge shaped, which is main shortcoming of previous FIB-assisted TEM sample preparation technique. This technique is quite useful for the TEM sample priparation for fault finding and the characterization of fabrication process associated with submicron contact technologies.

  • 본 논문에서는 RLCG 전송선로를 가진 Chua 회로에서의 카오스 동기화 방법 및 암호와 통신 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 두 개의 동일한 Chua 회로에 전송 선로를 두어 RLCG 전송로를 구성한 후 송신부와 전송선로 사이는 구동-결합 동기 이론을, 전송선로와 수신부 사이는 결합 동기 이론을 적용한 동기화 방법을 제시하였으며, 이 동기화된 회로에 암호 통신방법을 적용하여 송신부에서 가산기에 의한 정보 신호와 카오스 신호를 합성하고 수신부에서 정보 신호와 카오스 신호를 분리하는 복조 방법을 제시하였으며, 선로 중간에서 정보 신호를 도청한 것과 수신부에서 복원된 신호를 비교하여 암호화 통신의 성능을 검증하였다.

  • This paper shows that we can make simple modifications to an existing optimal power flow(OPF) algorithm that minimizes generation costs in order to solve the maximization of social welfare objective of the OPF in a competitive electric power market. We have illustrated the potential for the use of OPF in light of the marked impacts on nodal prices and generation/demand allocation levels among competing suppliers. This paper can provide all market players with the transparent information that ensures sufficient control over producers and consumers in case of economic of secure operation with transmission line outage while maximizing the sum of participants social benefit of participating in the electricity energy market.

  • 인터넷을 통해서 많은 중요한 정보들이 송수신되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 중요한 정보는 많은 위험에 노출되어 있다. 또한 멀티캐스트 서비스도 다양해지고 보편화 되고 있다. 그만큼 서비스의 폭도 넓어지고 있다. 멀티캐스트 통신에서 그룹에 새로운 멤버가 가입하거나 탈퇴하는 경우 기존 멤버가 사용하던 그룹 키는 새로이 생성되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 안전한 멀티캐스트 데이터 전달을 위해서 가입과 탈퇴가 빈번한 멀티캐스트 그룹에 대해서 안전한 데이터 전달을 위한 효율적인 그룹 관리 메커니즘을 제공하고자 한다.

  • 공개키 기반 구조는 인증서의 유효성을 검증하기 위해서 인증서 취소 목록 검증을 한다. 그러나 시간이 지남에 따라 크기 증가와 오프라인 방식으로 인해서 목록을 다운받은 시간의 부담으로 인해서 실시간 처리가 어렵다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 온라인 서비스가 가능한 OCSP(Online Certificate Status Protocol) 방법이 제안되었지만, 서비스의 요청이 집중될 경우 문제가 발생될 수 있다. 그래서 분산된 OCSP를 구축했다. 본 논문에서는 인증서 저장소에서 분산된 OCSP에게 안전한 정보 전달하는 방안을 설계하였다.

Design of Window Applicable Blind-type Frequency Selective Surface

  • In this paper, we presented the window applicable blind-type frequency selective surface to control the coverage area of wireless communication in secure building or conference room. The proposed frequency selective structure has the reconfigurable frequency range depends on its blind rotation angle. To verify the proposed structure, we fabricated the window blind-type frequency selective surface with four-legged loaded element and ring-type element as a unit cell and performed measurements of the transmission characteristics for different blind rotation angles to prove the feasibility. The measurement results show good agreements with the simulation results. One of the advantages is that the proposed structure does not need to have a bias circuit, so it is very easy to implement at low cost and also can be applied to any planar surface for wireless security applications.

  • When most of existing instant messengers log on server, they transmit to sever in encoding password to RC5. but RC5 don't be secured because it has been known many of password cracking tools. Also, messengers don't have any protection on the transmitted information with communicating two hosts since loging on, endangering the privacy of the user. As a counter measure, messengers need to provide security service including message encryption. In this paper, we designed a key exchange method of password representing fast, effective and high security degree, using ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptography) that being known the very stronger than another public key cryptography with same key size. To effectively improve data transmission and its security using IPSec protocol between users, tunnel mode is introduced. Tunnel mode transmits Host-to-Host data through virtual pipelines on the Internet.

Patch Integrity Verification Method Using Dual Electronic Signatures

  • Many organizations today use patch management systems to uniformly manage software vulnerabilities. However, the patch management system does not guarantee the integrity of the patch in the process of providing the patch to the client. In this paper, we propose a method to guarantee patch integrity through dual electronic signatures. The dual electronic signatures are performed by the primary distribution server with the first digital signature and the secondary distribution server with the second digital signature. The dual electronic signature ensures ensure that there is no forgery or falsification in the patch transmission process, so that the client can verify that the patch provided is a normal patch. The dual electronic signatures can enhance the security of the patch management system, providing a secure environment for clients.

  • IoT 환경에서는 자원 제약적인 디바이스가 보안이 취약한 무선 네트워크에 연결될 가능성이 존재한다. 초저전력 디바이스를 지원하는 무선 네트워크 표준 DASH7 Mode 2는 보안 분야 표준화가 진행 중이며 다양한 취약점에 대한 해결 방안을 모색 중이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 DASH7 환경에서 IoT 표준 프로토콜인 CoAP를 이용하여 안전한 메시지 전송을 위한 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 또한 데이터 위변조, 재전송 및 가장 공격에 대한 안전성에 대하여 분석하였다.

  • 765kV substation facilities are most important as electric power supply network in the 21 century. So, in order to prevent interruption of electric power supply under earthquake, 765kV substation facilities have to secure the safety against the earthquake. However, even though each substation facility is interconnected mutually, seismic interaction effect doesn't be considered in the initial design. Therefore, seismic capacity evaluation of 765kV substation facilities is carried out considering the seismic interaction effect on a basis of seismic design criteria for Korean transmission and substation facilities.
