Rice yields are determined by the number of spikes per unit area, the number of rice per grain, the rate of ripening, and the weight of brown rice gravel. Among these yield components, the most important factor that reflects the characteristics of rice is the number of rice per grain and the number of rice per grain. The characteristics of rice panicle are influenced by genetic factors rather than environmental factors and revealed that it had different genetic characteristics in each of Japonica, Indica and Japonica ${\times}$ Indica type. In general, the number of rice per grain is affected by number of secondary rachis branches and generated spikelets number of secondary rachis branches. This study conducted to investigate the characteristics of the grain according to the planting density of two varieties of Jap. ${\times}$ Ind. type. Number of primary rachis branches and number of primary rachis branches of Palbangmi variety were 9.9 ~ 10.6 and 53.4 ~ 58.5, respectively. Number of secondary rachis branches and number of secondary rachis branches were 25.8 ~ 29.6, 85.8 ~ 101.4, Number of tertiary rachis branch and number of tertiary rachis branches were 1.0 ~ 2.4 and 2.0 ~ 6.1, respectively. Number of primary rachis branches and number of primary rachis branches of Semimyeon variety were 8.6 ~ 9.5 and 43.1 ~ 47.8, respectively. Number of secondary rachis branches and number of secondary rachis branches were 21.0 ~ 24.9, 66.2 ~ 77.9, Number of tertiary rachis branch and number of tertiary rachis branches were 1.6 ~ 2.6 and 3.8 ~ 6.3, respectively. The ratio of the spikelets of primary, secondary and tertiary rachis branches of Palbangmi variety were 37.7 ~ 39.4, 58.0 ~ 60.5 and 1.2 ~ 3.1%, respectively, and those of Semimyeon were 40.1 ~ 42.6 55.0 ~ 56.4 and 2.5 ~ 3.4% respectively. Number of primary and secondary rachis branches of Palbangmi variety showed no difference among the planting density. However, generated spikelets number of secondary rachis branches and ripening rate were higher with lower planting density. The number of secondary rachis branches and generated spikelets number of secondary rachis branches per acre decreased as the planting density increased in the Semimyeon variety
Secondary schools in Korea have been faced with with several critical problems with regard to science education, with one of the most fundament problems being associated with secondary school science teacher education and in-service training. Therefore this study, which is a part of project for the improvement of science teaching in secondary schools, had its purposes to inquire into the following are as. ${\circ}$systems for science teacher education ${\circ}$curricular contents and its operations of science teacher education ${\circ}$systems for in-service teacher training and its operations ${\circ}$analyses of problems associated with science teacher education and in-service teacher training. In order to fulfill these objectives this study used methods of literature review, survey, and interviews. The major findings are as follow: ${\circ}$curricular hours of subject matter education are not sufficient for competent science teacher. opportunities for self-training in major are as are seldom given to the most of the science teachers ${\circ}$systematic organization for in-service traings is in urgert need. In addition to there-findings strategies for improving science teacher education and in-service trainings are suggested in this paper.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate smart secondary controls using iPad for the drivers with physical disabilities in the driving simulator. Background: The physically disabled drivers face problems in the operation of secondary control devices that accept a control input from a driver for the purpose of operating the subsystems of a motor vehicle. Many of conventional secondary controls consist of small knobs or switches that physically disabled drivers have difficulties in grasping, pulling or twisting. Therefore, their use while driving might increase distraction and workload because of longer operation time. Method: We examined the operation time of conventional and smart secondary controls, such as hazard warning, turn signal, window, windshield wiper, headlights, automatic transmission and horn. The hardware of smart secondary control system was composed of iPad, wireless router, digital input/output module and relay switch. We used the STISim Drive3 software for driving test, customized Labview and Xcode programs for interface control of smart secondary system. Nine subjects were involved in the study for measuring operation time of secondary controls. Results: When the driver was in the stationary condition, the average operation time of smart secondary devices decreased 32.5% in the normal subjects (p <0.01), 47.4% in the subjects with left hemiplegic disabilities (p <0.01) and 38.8% in the subjects with right hemiplegic disabilities (p <0.01) compared with conventional secondary devices. When the driver was driving for the test in the simulator, the average operation time of smart secondary devices decreased 36.1% in the normal subjects (p <0.01), 41.7% in the subjects with left hemiplegic disabilities (p <0.01) and 34.1% in the subjects with right hemiplegic disabilities (p <0.01) compared with conventional secondary devices. Conclusion: The smart secondary devices using iPad for people with hemiplegic disabilities showed significant reduction of operation time compared with conventional secondary controls. Application: This study can be used to design secondary controls for adaptive vehicles and to improve the quality of life of the people with disabilities.

In this paper, we propose a cooperative hybrid spectrum sharing protocol by jointly considering interweave (opportunistic) and underlay schemes. In the proposed protocol, secondary users can access the licensed spectrum along with the primary system. Our network scenario comprises a single primary transmitter-receiver (PTx-PRx) pair and a group of M secondary transmitter-receiver (STx-SRx) pairs within the transmission range of the primary system. Secondary transmitters are divided into two groups: active and inactive. A secondary transmitter that gets an opportunity to access the secondary spectrum is called "active". One of the idle or inactive secondary transmitters that achieves the primary request target rate $R_{PT}$ will be selected as a best decode-and-forward (DF) relay (Re) to forward the primary information when the data rate of the direct link between PTx and PRx falls below $R_{PT}$. We investigate the ergodic capacity and outage probability of the primary system with cooperative relaying and outage probability of the secondary system. Our theoretical and simulation results show that both the primary and secondary systems are able to achieve performance improvement in terms of outage probability. It is also shown that ergodic capacity and outage probability improve when the active secondary transmitter is located farther away from the PRx.
Objectives : The aim of this study is to review studies that utilized domestic secondary data in Traditional Korean Medicine (TKM). Methods : We identified variables and values related to TKM of 24 secondary data sources, and searched studies from 6 databases (PubMed, RISS, KISS, NDSL, KMBASE, OASIS). Results : There were 13 secondary data sources including variables and values related TKM, and 23 articles were included in this study. Conclusions : It is necessary to develop high-quality secondary data sources that are suitable to TKM system in accordance with national policy.
In this paper, we consider a system working at both primary service and secondary service. A server can switch between the primary service and the secondary service or it can be assigned to secondary service as a dedicated server. A service policy is characterized by the number of servers dedicated to the secondary service and a rule for switching the remaining servers between two services. The primary service system is modelled as a Markovian queueing system and the throughput is a function of the number of servers, buffer capacity, and service policy. And the secondary service system has a service level requirement strategically determined to perform the service assigned. There is a revenue obtained from throughput and costs due to servers and buffers. We study the problem of simultaneously determining the optimal total number of servers, buffers, and service policy to maximize profit of the system subject to both an expected customer waiting time constraint of the primary service and a service level constraint of the secondary service and develop an algorithm which can be successfully applied with the small number of computations.
In cognitive radio systems, secondary users, unlicensed users, can use primary users' spectrum to increase spectrum efficiency. At that time, the systems must satisfy primary users' QoS. When secondary users use cognitive radio systems, secondary users communication can be terminated, because of satisfying primary users' QoS. However, secondary users' communication terminating is not good for both secondary users and whole systems. So, cognitive radio systems need an efficient algorithm for secondary users of admission control and keeping connections. In this paper, we present an algorithm which consist of two part, admission control and connections control.

To explore marine microorganisms with medical potential, we isolated and identified marine bacteria from floats, marine algae, animals, and sponges collected from Jeju Island, Korea. We isolated and identified 21 different strains from the marine samples by 16S rRNA analysis, cultured them in marine broth, and extracted them with ethyl acetate (EtOAc) to collect secondary metabolite fractions. Next, we evaluated their anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory effects. Among the 21 strains, the secondary metabolite fraction of Bacillus badius had both strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, and thus was selected for further experiments. An antioxidant compound detected from the secondary metabolite fraction of B. badius was purified by preparative centrifugal partition chromatography (n-hexane:EtOAc:methanol:water, 4:6:4:6, v/v), and identified as diolmycin A2. Additionally, diolmycin A2 strongly inhibited nitric oxide production. Thus, we successfully identified a significant bioactive compound from B. badius among the bacterial strains collected from Jeju Island.
