Randomized-Control Screening Trials to Lower Gall Bladder Cancer Mortality in High Risk Populations

  • Gall bladder cancer is generally fatal. The high morbidity and mortality due to gall bladder cancer exerts a significant impact on efforts towards cancer control in high risk populations of the World and a rationale program for control of gall bladder cancer mortality has remained as an unmet need in these populations. Currently there are no effective strategies for controlling gall bladder cancer mortality. This mini review is to highlight the need and feasibility for secondary prevention of gall bladder cancer by screening in high risk populations. A way forward is to assess the role of secondary prevention of gall bladder cancers by conducting randomized-controlled screening trials in high risk populations.

Nonlinear system control using neural network (신경회로망을 이용한 비선형 시스템 제어)

  • In this paper, we describe the algorithm which controls an unknown nonlinear system with multilayer neural network. The multilayer neural netowrk can be used to approximate any continuous function to any desired degree of accuracy. With the former fact, we approximate unknown nonlinear function on the nonlinear system by using of multilayer neural netowrk. The weights on the hidden layer of multilayer neural network are updated by gradient method. The weight-update rule on the output layer is derived to satisfy lyapunov stability. Also, we obtain secondary controller form deriving step. The global control system consists of controller using feedback linearization method and secondary controller is order to satisfy layapunov stability. The proposed control algorithm is verified through computer simulation.

  • Recently, the study for development of system having affinity for environment is on investigation. This issue is also applicable to transportation system. This paper suggested the inductive power transformer used for the road/railway applied to contactless power transfer system. The two secondary windings, large gaped magnetic structure and horizontal alignment between primary and secondary coil for that transformer approach a process for improvement of contactless power transfer system performance.

  • On the basis of theoretical studies on the effect of the cylinders attached to semi-infinite screens, the tangential sound power-transport parallel to the surface of the attached cylinder is minimized by means of a secondary sound field, which is generated from a part of the attached cylinder. The numerical study shows the possibility of deflecting the incident sound by minimizing the acoustic surface impedance of the upper sections. The acoustical shadow region was more pronounced in both near- and far-field compared to the passive case with rigid surface, i.e. without active control. For a relatively wide frequency range it was possible to enhance shielding effects only with few secondary sources and error microphones. In this paper effects of some control parameters on the actively controlled sound field near the top edge of noise barriers are studied. Results of numerical study and model measurements are shown and discussed.

  • RF energy harvesting technology is a promising technology for generating the electrical power from ambient RF signal to operate low-power consumption devices(eg. sensor) in wireless communication networks. This paper, motivated by this and building upon existing CR(Cognitive Radio) network model, proposes a optimal control policy for RF energy harvesting CR networks model where secondary users that have low power consumption harvest ambient RF energy from transmission by nearby active primary users, while periodically sensing and opportunistically accessing the licensed spectrum to the primary user's network. We consider that primary users and secondary users are distributed as Poisson point processes and contact with their intended receivers at fixed distances. Finally we can derive the optimal frame duration, transmission power and density of secondary user from the proposed model that can maximize the secondary users's throughput under the given several conditions and suggest future directions of research.

  • This Paper described the hish performance position control for elevator using induction motor and driver. In this paper, the suitable Motor specifications for elevator drive are briefly discussed and high accuracy position control for both kinds of control method is analysed considering the parameter variation in the primary and secondary resistances. Since the pre-identified values of the motor constants are used to determine the control inputs, the performance degradation is caused by the parameter variation such as in the motor resistance. Particularly, the value of secondary resistance is considered significant because the control gain to determine the slip frequency is heavily dependent on that. The new proposed method uses on special small input signal for the parameter indentification and is expected to have the high accuracy position.

  • The theoretical simulation to predict the variation of supplying heat according to control methods of DHS(District Heating System) have been done by TRNSYS(A Transient System Simulation Program) 16. The physical system for DHS consists of primary and secondary supplying heating loop which is divided by based on heat exchanger for heating demand of building. The simulation results showed that control of secondary supplying heat had influenced more than primary supplying heat control to total energy consumption of DHS. And the outside temperature reset control of primary supplying heating loop could be reduced until about 4% overheating of each zone.

  • Active Noise control(ANC) is rapidly becoming the most effective way to reduce noises that can otherwise be very difficult and expensive to control. This research presents ANFIS (Adaptive Network Fuzzy Inference System) controller for adaptively noise cancelling in a duct. ANC system generates secondary control sound pressure with same amplitude and with opposite phase as noise to be eliminated. ANFIS controller is trained to optimize its parameters for adaptively cancelling noise. That is ANFIS train its parameters by gradient descent and LSE method so called hybrid method. This paper present ANFIS in active noise control which provides an improvement convergence speed and limitation of linearity condition. It can model nonlinear functions of arbitrary complexity and ANFIS can construct an input-ouput mapping based on both human knowledge in the form of Takagi and Sugeno's fuzzy if-then rules and stipulated input-output data pairs. This paper also shows that the proposed ANFIS active noise control system successfully cancelled noise.

  • Settlement control techniques are critical for the safety of shield tunnel constructions, especially for facing complex situations. In this study, the shield tunnel structure from Huaita east road station to Heping Road station in Xuzhou metro No.3 line (China) is taken as engineering background, which has various complex problems of the upper-soft and lower-hard composite stratum conditions, twin curve shield tunnels, and underpass the foundation of the piled raft. The deformation characteristics of shield tunnelling passing through buildings are explored. Subsequently, comprehensive research methods of numerical simulation and field measurement are adopted to analyzing the effectiveness of settlement control by using the top grouting technique. The results show that the settlement of the buildings has obvious spatial characteristics, and the hysteresis effect can be obviously observed in soil deformation caused by shield construction. Meanwhile, the two shield constructions can cause repeated disturbances, reducing the soil deformation's hysteresis effect. Moreover, the shield tunnel's differential settlement is too large when a single line passes through, and the shield construction of the outer curve can cause more significant disturbance in the tunnel than the inside curve. Notably, the proposed process control parameters and secondary topgrouting method can effectively control the deformation of the shield tunnel, especially for the long-term deformation.
