Objectives : The purpose of this study is to raise the proper recognition of Qigong and expand the area of Medical Qigong in the korean Medicine by investigating and analyzing the current state of Javaldonggong training which has a high medical value but there has not been little research on. Method : The survey of this study was conducted by doing a search on the internet - Naver(www.naver.com) and Daum(www.daum.net), Nate(www.nate.com), trying question-and-answer on the websites and over the phone, visiting the organizations and reading their publications. Results : None of the teachers of these selected organizations are doctors. One thing all these organizations have in common is that they are, ultimately, aiming to gain the individual enlightenment and to contribute to public welfare although the terms they use are different. As for training contents, most of these organizations use breathing, meditation, gymnastics, circuit training in addition to Javaldonggong training and they work on Javaldonggong training programs to prevent problems that Qigong training can result in. 7 organizations have published the books of the theories, which are based on their own Javaldonggong training experience. Conclusions : Applying Javaldonggong training to the therapy for the diseases is the role of a doctor of Korean medicine. A further study of and a great interest in Javaldonggong training are required for Korean medical doctors to gain a firm foothold in using it as the medical Qigong therapy.

Fas gene known to associate with intramuscular fat content in Korean cattle was selected for DNA marker development. Fas (APO-1, CD95), a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily, is a cell membrane protein that mediates apoptosis (programmed cell death). We discovered single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within Fas gene in order to develop novel DNA markers at genomic level. Of this gene to search for SNP, sequences of whole exon and 1kb range of both front and back of the gene using 24 cattle were determined by direct-sequencing methods. As a result, 16 SNPs in exon, 37 SNPs in intron and 2 SNPs in promoter region, a total of 55 SNPs were discovered. In these SNPs, thirty-one common polymorphic sites were selected considering their allele frequencies, haplotype-tagging status and Linkage Disequilibrium (LD) for genotyping in larger-scale subjects. Selected SNPs were confirmed genotype through SNaPshot method (n=274) and were examined for possible genetic association of Fas polymorphisms with carcass weight (CWT), eye muscle area (EMA), and backfat thickness (BF). So, the SNP have been identified significant g.-12T>G, g.1112T>G and g.32548T>C. These results suggest that polymorphism of Fas gene was associated with meat quality traits in Hanwoo.

This study aims to find out the employment effectiveness of employment preparation activities that college students experience, especially focused on analyzing employment effects of college employment-related activities such as career choice and employment support program, along with individual preparation activities such as qualification, vocational training, etc. It performed binary logistic regression analysis using 2011 Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey data of 3,249 college graduates. The results showed that In college characteristics, the higher grade point average was and the more college was located in non-metropolitan area, the higher employment probability was. In the case of major field, Medicine, Education, Engineering, Social Science, Natural science in highest first order had employment probability higher than the reference group. The results showed that the number of qualification, interview skill & resume description skill program participation, and job search experience before and after graduation among employment preparation activities had an effect on employment. The rest, that is, vocational training, career employment curriculum, work experience program, career counseling program, employment camp, in-school job experience, employment goal status before graduation did not have an direct effect on employment.

According as internet and computer technology develops, the amount of information has increased exponentially, arising from a variety of web authoring tools and is a new web standard of appearance and a wide variety of web content accessibility as more convenient for the web are produced very quickly. However, web documents are put out on a variety of topics divided into some blocks where each of the blocks are dealing with a topic unrelated to one another as well as you can not see with contents such as many navigations, simple decorations, advertisements, copyright. Extract only the exact area of the web document body to solve this problem and to meet user requirements, and to study the effective information. Later on, as the reconstruction method, we propose a web search system can be optimized systematically manage documents.

There is increasing attention about radiology teaching files on the Internet in the field of diagnostic radiology. The purpose of this study was to aid in the creation of new radiology teaching file by analysing the present radiology teaching file sites on the Internet with many aspects and evaluating images on those sites, using Macintosh IIci computer, 28.8kbps TelePort Fax/Modem, Netscape Navigator 2.0 software The results were as follow : 1. Analysis of radiology teaching file sites (l) Country distribution was the highest in USA(57.5％). (2) Average number of cases was 186 cases and radiology teaching file sites with search engine were 9 sites (22.5％). (3) At the method of case arrangement, anatomic area type and diagnosis type were found at the 10 sites(25％) each, question & answer type was found at the 9 sites(22.5％). (4) Radiology teaching file sites with oro-maxillofacial disorder were 9 sites(22.5％). (5) At the image format, GIF format was found at the 14 sites(35％). and ]pEG format found at the 14 sites(35％). (6) Created year was the highest in 1995(43.7％). (7) Continuing case upload was found at the 35 sites(87.5％). 2. Evaluation of images on the radiology teaching files (l) Average file size of GIF format (71 Kbyte) was greater than that of JPEG format(24 Kbyte). (p<0.001) (2) Image quality of GIF format was better than that of JPEG format. (p<0.001).

The purpose of this study is to analyze the content of environmental inquiry activities and values of elementary school students written in their reports of the Energy Environment Inquiry Activity Contest which is a unit contest of the Youth Science Festival held annually in Korea and get some ideas for the valuable way of Korean environmental education. 10 teams' reports were gathered and the locality, class study area, inquiry theme, inquiry method and values were analyzed and introduced as case studies to get some insights to teach elementary school students environmental values through inquiry activities of science subject approach. Each teams set various inquiry themes in the content domain of energy resources and earth environment conservation focusing on each team's geographical characteristics and occurring environmental problems in their local areas. There were 16 sentences representing technocentrism and 12 sentences representing ecocentrism. 5 of 10 teams showed both of technocentrism and ecocentrism in their reports. But their was only scientific knowledge without any environmental values in one team's report. Inquiry activity is a good teaching-learning method to develop environmental literacy. There should be environmental values involved as far as it is the environmental inquiry activities using environmental subject matter. The result of this study proposes that environmental educators should actively intervene for inquirers to set a stage in the whole process to search for an alternative to solve environmental problems involved in their project activities. The reason is because the environmental education in the elementary school is established to operate by the infusion way into various subjects already existed in the Korean curriculum.

Since Environmental Education in Elementary School is taught separately in various subject area, a well-founded and organized curriculum in integrated Environmental Education is needed to educate teachers for professional development. In this research, a curriculum for elementary teacher in-service training program was developed in order to improve both environmental and educational competencies of elementary school teachers. The curriculum was based on the needs analysis on Environmental Education training for elementary school teachers. Also it was based on international and updated perspectives on Environmental Education, Education for Sustainable Development. The curriculum consists of the introduction and the particular perspectives. The particular is made of 60 hours, which covers 6 perspectives on environment. They are ecological perspective, environmental ethics perspective, social-cultural perspective, economic perspective, environmental hygienic perspective, and environmental policy. Environmental policies of Korea and the world were included so that teachers will understand efforts made at national level and participate more to environmental action in their schools. Lesson objectives were specified for teachers to apply this curriculum to their classroom easily. Related elementary curriculum and textbook were indicated at the end of each lesson so teachers can link their training setting with their classroom setting. Especially, in this curriculum various teaching and teaming methods for each lesson are introduced. Thus, this re- search is very practical for elementary school teachers who are planning to teach environment in their classroom.

Component-based Software development(CBSD) is widely used in various area due to its efficiency of time, cost and effort. In the embedded software which has high dependency of platform and can be developed by product family, the efficiency of CBSD is maximized by reuse. These embedded software has various limitations of the resources. Specially, the effective energy consumption is very important in the portable embedded software such as smart phone and tablet PC, because they are operated with limited energy source like a battery. Therefore, energy efficient problem became very important issue in the CBSD. In this paper, we identified characteristics and environment that influence energy consumption of components. Afterward, we defined a component specification language which is consisted to describe energy characteristics of the components. This supposed specification language can be utilized to energy efficient component search and selection.

Objectives : Strabismus is a disease that can be observed and treated directly from the outside. Therefore, it is very important in Korean medicine ophthalmology in accessibility to treatment. This study is designed to investigate the trends of strabismus-related studies published in Journal of Korean medicine. Methods : 5 Internet databases were selected to search for the study subject. The following 9 keywords were used; Strabismus, Heterophoria, Binocular vision, Visual acuity, Diplopia, Paralytic, Cover test, Oculomotor nerve paralysis, Abducens nerve paralysis. Through this process, a total of 45 studies were found and analyzed into 5 categories ; publication year, publication journal, number of author, type of article, analyzation of case report. Results : There were 2 review articles, 1 original article and 42 case reports. 5 studies(11.1%) were published in 2004 year. Journal of Korean Oriental Medical Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dermatology were the most common with 40%. The authors were often 2 and 3 (each 22.2%). In the case report study, the treatment period was most often 1-30 days (35.7%). Conclusions : 42 studies were on paralytic strabismus and 1 study was on paralytic and non-paralytic strabismus. These results represent that the studies are concentrated in case reports about paralytic strabismus, but this seems to be an area to be improved in future research.

This research analyzed military journalist activities and key photos of Werner Bischof, the military journalist during Korean war. Werner Bischof entered Korea twice in 1951 and 1952 for military journals. Through Korean war pictures, essay, multiple letters and photobooks, I shed a light on the background of his military journals and activities, and analyzed topics and characteristics based on key photos that he took during his first and second military journalist activities. Bischof created a work centered on 'Human'. Especially, he has this consciousness of 'What happens to civilians in war-ridden area?'. Bischof took civilians in Sanyangri in his camera to announce pain of civilians and tragedy of war coming from war during his first military journalist activity. During his second military journalist activity, he critiqued ideological brainwashing, life of prisoners of war in a humanist point of view. The latter showed characteristics of clear contrast of black and white, image arrangement based on characters, and outstanding photo views. His military journal activity is in search of civilian suffering, and humanism in Korean war. This consciousness crosses through generation over generation that cannot be compared to other military journalists.
