  • Facing information overload in today's complex environments, managers look to a concise set of marketing metrics to provide direction for marketing decision making. While there have been several papers dealing with the theoretical aspects of dashboard creation, no research creates and tests a dashboard using scientific techniques. This study develops and demonstrates an empirical approach to dashboard metric selection. In a fast moving consumer goods category, this research selects leading indicators for national-brand and store-brand sales and revenue premium performance from 99 brand-specific and relative-to-competition variables including price, brand equity, usage occasions, and multiple measures of awareness, trial/usage, purchase intent, and liking/satisfaction. Plotting impact size and wear-in time reveals that different kinds of variables predict sales at distinct lead times, which implies that managerial action may be taken to turn the metrics around before performance itself declines.

  • The most important two decision-makings which a retail store owner face require which place of the store should geographically be established and which stock should be properly placed on the shelves. The problem of geographic positioning is the decision-making for the store's positioning and stock arrangement within the retail store is the decision-making for the placement store. In order to determine the positioning, the expected area should be analyzed so that the analysis of commercial area can usually be implemented in accordance with retail marketing strategy and therefore the sized of the potential market for example each distric's clientele, competition and, a municipal community's regulations, could be evaluated. But I contend that with only the size of potential market does not give an adequate answer to the problem of a store's positioning. Through the estimation of commercial are in combination with feng-shui, the theory of divination based on topography, the store's position could be selected, taking a positive energy, Gi. This thesis is the starting point of these trials. In the long run, the actual analysis of the study should be continued in a more scientific, systematic, statistical way.

  • The adaptive accounting control system can be regarded as an realistic control system which can adapt itself to uncertain enviromental changes. It has characters that can measure the extend to which we attain our goals and give intelligence, which is essential to planning for the future and for decision making. The budget should present the aim of the compilation of the budget and synthesize the limit through the systematic plan about the utilization of resources, because is a financial plan that is used as estimate of future management operations and as a control of it. If we would like to make good use of this business budget as a tool for planning, we should try to opimize all over the business by relating business operation as far as the effective use of the economic resources in business and the supplying of it are concerned and financial budgets to the responsibility unit center. As this paper is about the budgetary management pattern of marketing based on the adaptive accounting control system, I shall begin with a description of the feature and role of responsible accounting system in management accounting. I shall also deal with the Ex ante accounting system and the Ex post optimum accounting system which are essential to the control stage of business budgeting. And finally, accounting to the control process of adaptive accounting system that fit in with the reality, I shall design a budgetary management pattern of marking section. I wish this paper would be helpful to the activity of budgetary management. A budget is an important step of diverging point. Consequently, when we set up a budgetary pattern based on the adaptive accounting system as far as the control accounting is concerned. I believe that the step of responsible accounting will be a more elaborate and scientific step of management.

  • This study examines the possibility of a neuro-scientific approach to fashion Visual Merchandising (VM), by researching the brain activation of customers about fashion stores in terms of VM. Study subjects were in 20's-30's residing in Busan and ten ordinary person or fashion industry related individuals, it measures the change of cerebral blood flow on positive/negative photo stimulus in terms of VM using a functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) device, and then compared the brain activation to the difference of the fashion store VM. Photo stimuli utilized in the experiment were selected through a preliminary study in advance. The results of this study are as follows. First, the brain activation was found in all 16 channels of stimulus ranges of fashion store VM regardless of positive/negative stimulus. This means that the VM of fashion store causes changes to the cerebral blood flow of consumers, which implies that consumer behavior can be affected by store VM. It also shows that the brain is more active in negative VM stimulus than positive VM despite slight differences in the subjects. In terms of VM, this suggests that the negative factors of fashion stores have a greater effect on the brains of consumers compared to the positive factors. Second, the reaction of the brain channel is different according to the positive/negative VM stimulus of the fashion store by product group and confirms that positive/negative VM stimulus can be distinguished by brain-reaction for the three product groups except for the underwear group among four product groups (men's wear store, women's wear store, underwear store, and sportswear store). The results indicate that more objective scientific measure and decision-making are possible through neuro-science in the strategic execution of VM. This study verified the possibility for a neuro-scientific approach to fashion VM; therefore, there are expectations for the various activation of interdisciplinary research and subsequent development of VM that utilize neuroscience in fashion marketing.

The printing culture is declining whether it is because of trend avoiding pure science or technological science and engineering, advancement of mass media or increasing frequency of using internet. Nevertheless, researcher considered car industry in publication industry as a life-long purpose for study. For this reason, the researcher tried to find the variables of the marketing which give impact on the customers such as student group and consumer who buys cars, when buying professional books. The found variables are expected to have a huge impact on the publication industry of professional books. As a result of research, in the area of the vision and motive, most said that they have "chosen a major in car because they liked car in usual base." In the stage of recognizing the problem, they buy the books when it is inevitably necessary. In the stage of searching for the information, they get information from advertisements, friends, professors, internet or sales clerk in book stores. In the stage of evaluation, they look for the title and the publication date of the books. In addition, in the stage of deciding purchase, "buy immediately" was the most frequent answer while impulsive purchase is the least frequent answer. In the stage of evaluating after purchase, many of them mostly are satisfied with their purchase.
